About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Dementia UK as Senior Mass Participation Manager. Leading a team of nine, you’ll be responsible for delivering a successful strategy and operational plan for virtual events and mass participation products, ensuring sustainable growth and impact.
Working within the Fundraising team, this role involves driving the development of engaging campaigns that increase supporter numbers and income, all while providing an excellent supporter experience. Collaboration across the charity is key to ensuring the programme runs efficiently, with decisions informed by data, supporter insights and market trends to help identify opportunities.
In partnership with the Head of Mass Participation, you will help shape and deliver the programme’s strategy, develop and monitor the annual budget and report on performance with clear analysis of any variances. The Brompton Fountain is the children’s charity at Royal Brompton Hospital - a world leading specialist centre for complex heart and lung disease. Main Duties and Responsilbilties
Community and Events Fundraising
• Assist in the planning and execution of a diverse range of fundraising events, including challenge events and community initiatives.

Individual Giving

• Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (giving at lower to mid-level) by prompt thanking, excellent stewardship and building effective donor journeys.
Supporter Care
• Serve as the primary point of contact for community and events fundraisers, delivering outstanding stewardship ensuring they receive the information and support needed to maximise their fundraising potential while maintaining the highest standards of stewardship and being respectful of potential sensitivities particularly when working with families who are fundraising in memory.
• Provide timely and effective follow-up communications with supporters, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.
• Maintain our CRM database ensuring accurate records to track communications, income, and supporter preferences, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection laws.
Administrative and Financial Support
• Process cash and cheque donations, Gift Aid and matched funding claims, ensuring this income is processed and recorded accurately on our database.
• Manage the distribution of supporter resources, conduct stock checks for fundraising materials and ensure an organised work environment for all fundraising assets.
• Overseeing our online shop.
Marketing and Communication
• Create engaging materials (posters, leaflets, stories etc), social media content and e-newsletters to inspire participation in fundraising activities.
• Produce impact reports and collate information for the HOF to support fundraising initiatives and grant applications.
• Ensure fundraising and associated webpages are kept up to date. Team Collaboration
• Work collaboratively with the wider team (when required) to support in-hospital and community events as well as assisting with tasks as needed to ensure smooth charity operations.
• Support the CEO and team members with ad hoc projects, activities, and any high-priority tasks to contribute to overall team objectives.
• Any other duties as required by the Head of Fundraising.
Additional Information
Salary is £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE). The role covers 37.5 hours per week. Two days per week working in our charity office at Royal Brompton Hospital - London, and the remaining hours to be worked remotely. Occasional evening and weekend work subject to our events calendar. Financial administration

• Support the Finance Officer (Income) with donations collections and trips to the bank to deposit cash and cheque donations, ensuring all cheques and cash received are banked promptly and securely.

Financial processing
• Manage the corporate credit card process and user register, including onboarding of new users.
• Issue monthly credit card statements to staff members for their expenses submissions.
• Conduct first finance review of monthly credit card submissions and collate the supporting documentation submitted, ready for posting.
• Collate Out of Pocket expenditure claims and conduct a first review of these before processing by the Finance Officer (Expenditure).
• Support the Finance Officer (Income) with quarterly donor pledge statements process.
• Post property and Victoria Hall interest, bank sweeps, and charges into Business Central.
Supporting others
• Perform any other financial duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Financial Controller, Properties Finance Manager, Head of Finance and Operations.

• Educated to A-Levels (desirable).

A little bit about the role
The trusts fundraiser role sits in the fundraising team within the external relations division. The fundraising team is responsible for raising between £1m and £1.5m in fundraised income annually. Frontline’s philanthropic income complements the significant contract income the charity receives from central and local government and enables the charity to carry out its broader mission to create social change for hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged children.
Since we were founded in 2013, Frontline has leveraged its success to build committed, high impact partnerships with a number of prestigious supporters including trusts and foundations, corporates and high net worth individuals. Our new fundraising strategy focuses on continuing to grow our network of supporters by maintaining excellent relationships with our current funders while identifying new potential donors, and at the same time testing and developing fundraising through community and events and individual giving.
We are now looking for a trusts fundraiser to help drive this strategy forward. The successful candidate will have experience in building relationships and securing income, helping us to build relationships with new trust funders while stewarding effectively our current trust and foundation relationships.
The successful candidate will work closely with the head of fundraising and the fundraising manager to implement Frontline’s annual fundraising plan, taking specific responsibility for researching, building relationships with, writing persuasive proposals to and securing income from new trust and foundation funders, while also providing excellent stewardship and reporting to current funders. The fundraising team is supported by the marketing, events and communications staff of the external relations division.
Some key responsibilities include:
- To develop a pipeline of potential trust funders through prospect research, the development of strong relationships, and writing of persuasive, creative and inspiring applications.
- To arrange meetings and engagement opportunities with new funders, including ensuring that other Frontline staff are involved in supporting applications and pitches where appropriate.
- To account manage a portfolio of existing trust supporters, providing excellent stewardship and planning and writing high quality grant and funding reports in line with reporting deadlines.
- To work closely with other teams at Frontline, particularly the fellowship team and evaluation team, to develop proposals and reports, bring funders closer to our work and help inspire a culture of fundraising across the charity.

We are recruiting for two additional Trusts & Foundations Advisors to be key contributors to the development of Sightsavers trusts and foundations programme. Summary of the role
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the role will support the implementation of our 2030 Fundraising Strategy in collaboration with colleagues in Fundraising, Communications and Delivery Teams. Main purpose of job
The individual Giving Fundraiser will be responsible for the delivery of ADSS fundraising from individual donors, primarily through digital platforms.

The Role Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy and Planning:
