Responsibilities

• To manage the operations of the MSSC Logistics & Trading department, which includes motor transport management for the MSSC.
• To be line manager to the Logistics & Trading Team.
• Be Building Manager responsible for the safety and security of all machinery, staff and operations within Sea Cadet Stores.
• Be responsible for budgetary control and finances associated with the department.
• To provide warehouse management and administrative oversite to operations for receipt and dispatch of online shop orders, MoD and MSSC stores held on loan throughout the MSSC.
• Liaise with SCC units, contractors, suppliers and MoD, to effectively deliver an efficient, effective department.
• Be responsible for maintain appropriate levels of MoD and Sea Cadets Shop stock.
• Liaise with Royal Navy regarding use of RN systems for purchasing uniforms and other RN provided equipment.
• Manage warehouse receipt and dispatch, ensuring that all orders are dispatched within specified timelines.
• Manage the operations of the Westminster Stores and Sea Cadets Shop online systems, ensuring that all records are maintained and up to date and accurate.
• Be prepared to assist with the manual aspects of warehouse activities as required.
• Liaise with Royal Navy and Captain of Sea Cadets regarding changing uniform requirements.
• Liaise with fundraising team to develop a strategy for increasing sales in the SCC shop.

About the role

This is a wide-ranging position, and your key areas of responsibility will include:

• To manage a multi-disciplinary team, including paid staff and volunteers from different professions and disciplines and provide professional and clinical supervision to qualified clinicians and trainees in the service including, clinical/counselling psychologists. This role may also include providing remote clinical supervision to clinicians in our other regional centres (North West England and Scotland).
• To ensure that Freedom from Torture's clinical model continues to be fully rolled out, with particular emphasis on survivor empowerment and evidence-based practice for addressing PTSD and other mental health impacts of torture.
• Championing people development as well as influence delivery of evidenced -based practice, clinical standards, quality initiatives and audit based services.
• To formulate and negotiate psychological treatment and management plans for referred clients and to provide psychological treatment for a small caseload, using a range of specialist psychological interventions appropriate to the service in line with the new clinical model "Pathways" (drawing on a range of evidence-based models for the presenting problems of the clients).
• Being an effective role model and leader to encourage, develop and enhance skills of others.

About you

This is an important role within Freedom from Torture. To be successful in this role you must have a high level of commitment to maintaining excellent standards of client care and service delivery. It is a key requirement that you must have knowledge of appropriate clinical standards and external regulatory bodies. You must also have sound financial awareness and experience of balancing the provision of quality care against budgetary parameters.

To be considered for this role you must be a Psychologist registered with HCPC and have qualified with a doctorate or equivalent in either clinical or counselling psychology. You must have professional experience of working with clients with complex PTSD and have post-qualification experience of using evidence-based trauma focused therapy models. It is essential that you have a clear understanding of the experience of refugees and people seeking asylum, both in terms of pre-flight experience and the experience of living in exile. You must have previous management and supervision experience and be able to provide demonstrable examples of how you have successfully led and influenced clinical teams within community or health care settings.

Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Head of Operations and Projects to join our team based in Oswestry. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of between £55,056 - £59,289 per annum, depending on experience. Plus Car Allowance of £5,532 per annum. 

About the Head of Operations and Projects role:

As well as providing leadership for the Facilities, IT and Projects teams and their experienced team managers, the Head of Operations and Projects will join the charity’s Senior Management Team and take the lead on strategic priorities including a multi-year programme of estates development, integrating environmental sustainability principles into operations and projects, the evaluation of emerging technologies, and business continuity and resilience.

You will be flexible in your approach to working hours and times and be comfortable to regularly travel between Hope House in Shropshire and Ty Gobaith in Conwy to deliver your role.

We are looking for a Head of Operations and Projects who has:

• A proven track record of leading teams in both operational and project roles.
• Professional/degree level qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Experience of leading change projects in support of strategic objectives.
• Exceptional communication and collaborative working skills.
• An understanding of digital workplace tools, IT infrastructure and facilities operations.

Your Role

As Head of Harm Reduction and Engagement, you’ll lead our Drug & Alcohol Support Hub (DASH) service, detached outreach provision and youth justice support – while driving innovation in youth empowerment, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), and new service models. You’ll be our subject expert in harm reduction, criminal justice, and engagement with vulnerable and marginalised young people.

You’ll play a key role as part of our Senior Management Team, and lead a passionate, experienced team delivering critical services to young people across Southampton and Hampshire. You will also lead on maintaining strong strategic partnerships, including with our substance use lead provider, Change Grow Live.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Leading and managing our DASH service, detached team, and young people’s link workers
• Overseeing delivery of effective, evidence-led services that meet contractual and community needs
• Driving our organisational response to DEI in service delivery
• Supporting innovation and emerging projects such as Alternative Provision
• Leading strategic partnerships with statutory, voluntary and community organisations
• Representing No Limits externally as a senior manager and subject expert
• Managing teams, budgets, quality assurance, safeguarding, and development of new services

Reporting to the Director of Care and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for the line management of Family Support Managers for the Kentown Programme and the development of new locality projects as identified by the Director of Care Services.

· A persuasive, inclusive approach to achieving goals quickly and correctly – you have a strong sense of drive and a warm and friendly working style.

· Strong networking skills and confident use of MS Office - Educated to A-level or equivalent with a recognised childcare and management qualification (NVQ4 or equivalent)

The role of Head of Communications and PR at the Society of Authors oversees the strategic communications for the UK’s leading author body – with many exciting and important stories to tell.

Responsible for all aspects of the SoA’s external communications, you will develop integrated communications and campaign strategies that reflect our values of being member-focused, authoritative, supportive, and inclusive of all UK authors.

You will be proactive about promoting, protecting, and campaigning on authors’ interests through strategic communications and campaigns. You will work collaboratively with the Policy and Public Affairs team, and with all departments at the Society of Authors (SoA). The Head of Communications and PR will focus on developing and delivering strategies to raise the SoA’s profile, influence, and visibility.
