Job Purpose
Gaddum has secured external funding to deliver an Employer care project, which will provide unpaid carers living in Manchester with support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid or voluntary employment.
Delivery of this support to carers will be by Employment Coaches, who will manage a small caseload of carers and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and training. You will be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations. Successful employment coaches believe in the potential of every individual they work with.
Core responsibilities
• To support carers to address their barriers to employment by providing individual tailored packages of support so they can develop the necessary skills and confidence to secure and sustain employment.
• To act as coach and a mentor to build strong positive relationships, guide, motivate, challenge, encourage and help carers obtain sustainable employment.
• To ensure delivery targets are achieved by working with carers to identify employment opportunities and support them into and during employment.
• To meet personal performance targets and Key Performance Indicators.
• To manage a caseload of carers and utilise a variety of coaching strategies to help carers overcome barriers to obtaining sustainable employment.
• To undertake in-depth assessments using a suite of tools to fully understand a carers circumstances, preferences and holistic barriers to progression.
• To co-produce personalised action plans with sequenced interventions and development opportunities.
• To work with multiple agencies to develop holistic approaches to support carers. (Support the carers in all aspects of job-search and interview preparation to ensure that customers are matched to the right job that enables them to sustain employment and develop a career.
• To develop and maintain knowledge of the local labour market to source suitable job opportunities.
• Identify specific recruitment needs of potential employers.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders to maximise customer opportunities.
• Proactively participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure that the service continues to deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain IT files and customer records to the required compliance and quality standards.
• Fully comply with Gaddum policies including those for personal data security, safeguarding and health & safety.

Key Responsibilities
Digital Acquisition and Fundraising
-
Develop and implement acquisition campaigns and activity to attract new supporters through social platforms, both paid and unpaid, search engine advertising, and email marketing. As well as novel and innovative platforms and opportunities as identified.

Analyse metrics and data, reporting on KPI’s, budget and spend, and work to constantly test and optimise campaigns to exceed targets and improve return on advertisement spend / return on investment.

Ensure regular monitoring of performance across all activities and make necessary adjustments to maximise net income opportunities.

Analyse and share the results of campaign activity.

Support forecasting and budget planning on Digital marketing activities within the IG budget.

Develop and execute digital campaigns, including where the ultimate conversion is via traditional channels such as telephone or mail, taking an integrated approach, to acquire and convert new supporters.

Create and optimise content and digital journeys to maximise conversions and build loyalty. This will include elements of creative fundraising writing, concepting and messaging development, and some visual design development.

Generate and utilise insight within digital campaigns to improve results.

Support the organisation in developing the website to be optimised for fundraising, make recommendations to improve performance, optimise content and landing pages, recommend and make the most of on-site technologies and plugins that can help drive our performance.

Stay abreast of emerging digital trends and technologies, ensuring our online fundraising efforts remain innovative and effective.
Stewardship and Supporter Experience

Maintain a good level of understanding of our supporters' behaviours and motivations to create and implement stewardship content and journeys, feedback and respond to queries and enquiries relevant to IG activity.

Work with the team to ensure all supporters are thanked and updated in an appropriate and timely manner and all interactions and activities are in line with our supporter promise.

Ensure supporter journeys are segmented and personalised wherever possible.

Cultivate deeper engagement with supporters beyond transactional interactions, exploring opportunities for meaningful dialogue, feedback mechanisms, and a sense of community.

Develop and deliver personalised relationship-building communications and initiatives that recognise supporter loyalty and deepen their connection to the impact of their support.

Work with the wider PCR team to maximise opportunities for fundraising and patient impact including via cross selling with different audiences.

Develop engaging supporter communications and assets for all channels, for example email headers, landing pages, social ads – which drive action and deepen engagement with the cause.
Collaboration and Development

Work with Agile principles in mind, together with the IG Team and collaborating colleagues across the organisation, to plan and deliver high quality work.

Build key relationships across teams within and outside Public Fundraising to achieve successful fundraising outcomes, improving both supporter & patient perceptions of PCR.

As required, represent PCR externally, promoting our work and building long-term relationships with stakeholders and supporters.

Build strong relationships with partners, freelancers and consultants, agencies, and suppliers as needed to support the delivery of individual giving activity.

Maintain curiosity and a desire for learning and professional development, be responsible for developing your skillset and knowledge to improve in the role and further PCR’s mission.
Database and Compliance

Hold a good working knowledge of key aspects of data protection law including GDPR and PECR, and the Fundraising Code of Practice.

Work with our tools and seek to improve knowledge and use of these, including but not limited to Access CRM, Fundraise Up, Google Analytics 4 (G4A) and MailChimp.

Adhere to all PCR policies and abide by the code of conduct and other related guidance in the PCR Staff Handbook.
Skills and Competencies
Our ideal candidate would have the following:

Proven experience in digital acquisition for charity or social cause, or in paid digital marketing or advertising in commercial roles. With demonstrable campaign management experience and expertise setting up and managing campaigns in Meta business suite, Google paid advertising and email marketing.

Evidence of leading successful digital / integrated digital campaigns leading to significant sales/income/lead generation.
-
The ability to motivate and inspire audiences through content and creative writing and storytelling for digital channels.
-
The ability to monitor and manage income and expenditure against targets as well as forecast and report on digital campaigns across all channels.

Knowledge and experience of trends and dynamics in digital fundraising (ideally), including audience identification and optimisation strategies including with new technologies like AI tools.

Experience and a track record of working on landing page optimisation and on-site conversion funnel improvements.

A good understanding of individual giving best practices, trends, and regulatory requirements.

Experience moderating digital campaigns or working with others to do so (knowledge of issues and best practice) and providing excellent supporter/customer support as needed.

A strong desire to provide excellent supporter experience and customer journeys to everyone who encounters our campaigns and communications or who gets in touch with us directly.

A collaborative and innovative mindset with a desire to test, learn and work with stakeholders cross-functionally including internal stakeholders and external consultants or agencies, to develop new activities and campaigns, and achieve strategic goals.

A good communicator and team player, with a willingness to pitch in and support the goals of the team and wider organisation as a whole.

Experience working within Agile project management would be beneficial.

Experience collecting content from patients, beneficiaries, or key subject matter experts in the form of written interviews, photos and/or video, and developing this into marketing assets would be desirable.

A strong belief in the work we do at PCR, and a demonstrable desire to improve outcomes for patients through our work in fundraising.

Good knowledge of WordPress website optimisation and plugins or strong desire to learn.

Based in Surrey, the Orpheus Centre is an independent specialist college and charity that focuses on developing independence skills through performing and visual arts and makes dramatic improvements to young disabled adults’ lives. We are currently looking for a driven and pro-active Events Fundraiser to develop, coordinate and deliver the charity’s fundraising events and orchestrate experiences from initial concept to post event analysis. This includes pre-event planning and development, concept development and proposal.
Working closely with the Head of Capital Appeal and Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager, you will design and deliver events which steward and develop key contacts as part of our Capital Appeal.
The role holder will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and work as part of a team. You will be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, managing a wide range of tasks.
35 hours per week / 52 weeks per year
Salary: £28,000 - 32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.
Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now looking to build a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to diversify income, grow their philanthropy programme and increase engagement and impact.
Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this is a strategic and hands-on leadership role that will shape how the charity uses data, research and insight to drive significant growth in income from major donors, corporate partners and other high-value supporters. You will lead the Prospect Research function, developing and delivering a proactive, insight-led prospect research strategy to support the charity’s ambitious fundraising goals, as well as working to identify potential major donors amongst individuals, trusts and corporates.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in prospect research including identifying and prioritising prospects, network mapping, ethical screening and developing gift capacity ratings. You will be a proactive, strategic thinker with a collaborative outlook and a high attention to detail. You will also possess excellent analytical and communication skills. Experience in setting up or significantly developing a prospect research function would be an advantage.

What the job involves
This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in driving impactful external communication strategies that support High Value, Philanthropy and Partnerships teams. As a key player in the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll enable the integration of high value fundraising activities into wider organisational communications, inspiring action to fund life-saving initiatives that help men navigate prostate cancer.
Supporting the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand and our senior Business Partner in embedding and developing our business partnering model. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of High Value Fundraising activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.
You’ll work closely with our Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and Appeal teams to help plan and deliver inspiring communications that support our fundraising strategy. From pitching proposals and event promotion to major appeal campaigns, you’ll help build strong relationships with major donors and partners. You’ll also make sure high value fundraising activity is joined up with our wider communications and campaigns to grow fundraising revenue, support our community and improve outcomes for all men affected by and at risk of prostate cancer.
Please note this role is known internally as Communications Business Partner (High Value Fundraising).

About the Role:
As our Compliance Officer, you will take the lead on property compliance and certification across Homeless Oxfordshire's housing portfolio. You will oversee safety inspections, manage risk assessments, maintain up-to-date records, and coordinate with contractors and landlords to ensure all remedial and planned works meet health, safety, and housing regulations. We will also entrust you with coordinating employer health and safety regulations. Reporting to the Head of Property and Facilities, your role is central to protecting residents and enabling our operational teams to deliver outstanding service.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
· Ensure all regulatory requirements & certifications are maintained and securely documented (e.g. gas, Electrical safety, legionella, Asbestos, fire alarm and lighting tests etc.), Ready for inspection as required.
· Undertake annual risk assessments for all areas relating to properties (including fire); maintenance and cleaning activities and ensure that relevant details are shared with others appropriately
· Build close relationships with our landlords and providers to ensure any compliance works they are responsible for under the terms of the lease are carried out to the required standard that we are satisfied with along with the local authorities or facilitate the work on their behalf.
· Ensure all HMO licencing information is up to date for all relevant properties and records of HMO Licences are retained on in-form and work together with Local Authorities. Ensure all additional works that are required for licence are completed in a timely manner.
· Oversee weekly and monthly Health and safety inspections for all sites.
· Work with Head of property & Facilities on Health and safety tasks for the organisation
· Contribute towards the budget setting for all planned compliance and health and safety works and ensure this remains within the budget set.
· Promote a high standard of hygiene among staff and residents and ensure controls are in place to reduce the risk of pests, damp, and mould, taking remedial action.
· Remain informed of all relevant property legislation for the private rented sector, HMOs and supported accommodation and implement changes within the organisation to maintain compliance.
· Support operational managers and staff to deliver outstanding services to our residents.
· To take control of the accident reporting, working with managers and SMT to ensure that all staff adhere to the process of reporting these incidents.
· Provide a monthly report to the Head of Property and facilities with compliance for the property portfolio as a minimum.

Main purpose of post
• Provide direct support to people affected by cancer by meeting in
person with or providing digital or telephone support to people using the
service (patients/clients, carers, relatives, professionals).
• Provide high quality information and support within defined level of
competence in relation to cancer. This will include assessment of service
users’ information and support needs (Holistic Needs Assessment/Cancer
Care Review), provision of written or verbal information, supportive
listening and action planning to facilitate self-management.
• Manage referrals from clinical teams in a timely manner, liaising with
clinical teams, primary care teams and community partners where
necessary.
• Provide care coordination around the individual to ensure their

What you do
Delivery of information and support to people living with and beyond cancer
and their families
• Provide information and support within level of competence of the post
(Macmillan Levels of Intervention Criteria L1,2,3,4; NICE approved four tier
model of psychological support Level 1, 2 & 3).
• This will include:
• Assess the needs of individuals attending / contacting the service and
identify the required level of intervention.
• Support users sensitively to help them understand clinical information
they have been given (e.g. around diagnosis, treatment, effects of the
illness and treatment, cancer terminology), helping to resolve situations
where users feel they have been given conflicting information. This will
include addressing concerns and queries and working to resolve them and
the ability to recognise and work within the limits of own competence and
responsibility is crucial, referring issues beyond these limits to relevant
people.
• Understand that there will be frequent exposure to distressing/ highly
distressing situations and deal with difficult and highly emotive situations
in a sensitive manner and base decisions on own professional judgement.
• Deal with service users with complex enquiries or support needs, or who
need help in accessing or understanding information, referring to
appropriate members of the wider clinical team (CNS, oncologist) when
appropriate or signpost them to other supportive services.
• Liaise with clinical staff to support patients and carers in distress.
• Demonstrate a high level of skill acquired through relevant training or
equivalent experience whilst demonstrating awareness of the limits of own
practice and knowledge and when to seek appropriate support/ advice.
• Provide supporting information around topics such as reducing the risk of
cancer, healthy living, diagnosis, treatment options, side effects and living
with cancer, in the most appropriate format (e.g. written, verbal, and others
as appropriate to overcome any barriers to communication).
• Provide advice on a range of issues e.g. benefits, travel insurance, and
facilitate access to services e.g. specialist benefits advice, complementary
therapy.
• Liaise with relevant staff at all levels as appropriate both within the charity
and externally to address issues identified, and seek advice with more
complex issues, directly involving others where necessary, e.g. Clinical Lead
(HCP), Cancer Information and Support Advisors, Head of Cancer Support
Services; Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS).
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective relationships
with partner organisations in primary and secondary and the voluntary the
sector via networking, also giving talks and presenting at relevant groups.
• Plan and deliver ‘pop-up’ information clinics, ensuring these pop-up clinics
are evaluated.
• Lead the development and delivery of courses and workshops.
• Lead peer support groups and service-user involvement.
Operational Delivery
• Collect and collate data regarding contacts with people who use the
service both in person and by telephone and produce reports of activity as
required.
• Plan and organise events and displays externally liaising with departments
and agencies as required.
• Lead discrete projects or service improvements under direction of the
Head of Cancer Support Services
• Work flexibly to deliver the objectives of the cancer support service,
including attending events and outreach sessions across South Yorkshire,
North Derbyshire and Bassetlaw.
• Ensure service user participation in development of the service, including
facilitating forums and meetings.
• Facilitate open and effective communication with multi-professional
teams, both internally and externally.
• Maintain systems and processes to promote a healthy, safe and secure
working environment and maintain accurate documentation and report
any concerns.
