About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team to provide administrative and event delivery support across all event and fundraising activities. This will include a wide range of admin and support tasks pre-event, onsite and post-event for the BOA’s flagship event, BOA Annual Congress, and other educational, social and fundraising events, both face to face and virtual, delivered by the team. In addition, the postholder will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive administration systems across the events and fundraising team, corresponding with members, Stakeholders, delegates, fundraisers etc, using the CRM database, updating event and fundraising content on the BOA website, and supporting content creation for social media.

About the role

The Head of Income Generation and Marketing will play a pivotal role in strengthening the financial sustainability and social impact of our organisation. This 12-month position—open to both employees and consultants—will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive income generation strategy across our three social businesses: our women’s-only gym and studio, our community café, and our meeting room hire service. 

Working closely with the leadership team, the postholder will identify new income opportunities, enhance the visibility and market reach of our social enterprises, and ensure that all business activity aligns with our mission to improve women’s health and wellbeing. The gym embodies our commitment to preventative health and creates an inclusive community where women of all ages and backgrounds can focus on their strength, resilience, and self-care. The gym has seen significant growth in both membership and the breadth of its offer, establishing itself as a trusted and empowering space for women’s health and wellbeing. With excellent member retention rates and a strong reputation for inclusivity, safety, and quality, the gym is now well positioned for its next stage of development. We see substantial potential to expand its reach, increase profitability, and deepen its social impact by engaging more women from our local and wider communities. The Café – Nourishing Food, Nurturing Community 

Our café is the social heart of The Bridge — a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive space where everyone can connect, share, and feel at home. Serving seasonal, plant-based meals prepared in-house, the café champions women-led enterprises and affordable, healthy food. It hosts many of our wellbeing and creative programmes, and through initiatives like the Pay-What-You-Can Supper Club, supports emerging women chefs and builds everyday acts of care and solidarity. The café has the opportunity to not only advances our mission of improving women’s health and wellbeing but also generates vital trading income and partnership opportunities.

While it currently operates at a deficit, it plays a vital role in advancing our wellbeing and community objectives. We are now focused on realising its full commercial potential. A feasibility study is underway to explore a range of operational and business models that will transition the café into a sustainable, profit-making enterprise. Plans include expanding income-generating opportunities through hosting more events, developing an external catering offer, and maximising use of the space for private hire and functions during weekends. This work will ensure the café continues to embody our values while contributing significantly to the financial sustainability of The Bridge 

Room Hire – Spaces that Enable Collaboration and Impact 

Our professional meeting and event spaces are used by charities, community groups, and corporate partners for workshops, training, and strategic planning. With over 500 bookings a year and a 89% return rate, these rooms are known for their quality, warmth, and service. The income they generate supports our wider mission, while also acting as a catalyst for new partnerships and collaborations.

We now aim to build on this success by increasing utilisation on our most popular days (Tuesday to Thursday) and attracting new clients to fill capacity on Mondays, Fridays, evenings, and weekends. Plans include developing loyalty packages for regular clients and introducing new offers such as team wellbeing days that align with our health and wellbeing ethos. This approach will not only maximise income potential but also strengthen The Bridge’s role as a space where organisations connect, collaborate, and thrive. 

Key responsibilities:

1. Income Generation Strategy 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive income generation strategy for our social businesses (women’s-only gym and studio, café, and meeting room hire). 

• Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities while aligning with the organisation’s mission and values. 

• Monitor financial performance and make recommendations to meet growth and sustainability targets.

• Monitor return on investment of additional marketing spend 

• Budget setting and management of cafe, gym and marketing budgets

• Support the development of medium-term (3-5 year) income generation roadmap to support sustainability, recommending organisational changes and scalable models beyond the 12 months. 

2. Marketing and Communications

4. Business Development and Partnerships 

• Together with the CEO, build and maintain relationships with local businesses, community organisations, and stakeholders to drive collaboration and income growth.

5. Line and Task Management 

• Line manage the Café Manager, Health and Wellbeing Manager, Social Media Lead, and Marketing Manager, providing leadership, guidance, and performance management. 

• Task manage the Head of Operations, who oversees room hire services, ensuring alignment with income generation and marketing priorities. 

6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting 

• Set measurable targets for income generation and marketing activity and track progress regularly. 

• Implement a CRM and/or data-dashboard system to track customer/member acquisition, retention, income per stream, marketing campaign performance, and present monthly/quarterly reports to CEO and Board. 

• Report to the leadership team on performance, insights, and opportunities for improvement.

Person Specification

Qualifications 

• Relevant degree or professional qualification in business, marketing, social enterprise, or a related field. 

• Professional development in leadership, marketing, or business management is desirable. 

Experience 

• Proven experience of running or scaling a trading/social enterprise business (profit and loss accountability, membership acquisition/retention, pricing strategy, customer marketing). Ideally, specifically in at least one of the key areas of the business.

• Demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple business streams or revenue-generating projects.

Job Purpose 

• To lead and deliver Butterfly Conservation’s strategic aims for nature recovery in Northern Ireland, maximising our impact for butterflies, moths and people.
• To implement BC’s objectives through leadership of the Northern Ireland Nature Recovery team, setting and managing budgets, targets and workplans while inspiring and enabling staff to achieve their best.
• To develop and strengthen collaboration with BC staff, volunteers, stakeholders and partners to drive progress on BC’s targeted species recovery programmes, landscape-scale initiatives and wider nature recovery in Northern Ireland. 

Main Responsibilities

• Drive delivery of BC’s strategic objectives through designing and managing workplans for the Nature Recovery Northern Ireland team, translating ideas into action and ensuring effective reporting to monitor and share evidence of our impact.
• Lead BC’s species recovery work for priority butterflies and moths in Northern Ireland, setting objectives and driving targeted action to recover populations of some of our most threatened species. 
• Lead our landscape-scale conservation work in Northern Ireland, developing and overseeing projects using butterflies and moths as indicators of nature recovery across a landscape.
• Develop and deliver new approaches to contribute to broader nature recovery across Northern Ireland, including exploring potential nature markets and developing our advice and services to reach more partners. 
• Lead, manage and be accountable for the Nature Recovery team in Northern Ireland, including a small number of direct line management reports. Responsible for budgeting, work planning and resource management, including overseeing annual performance management, team meetings, supporting training needs, staff development and well-being.
• Lead the development of new nature recovery projects, including partner liaison, project planning and design, budgeting and reporting to funders. About the role

This is a key role within the Communications team at RUSI, focused on collaborating with colleagues within the team and across the Institute to ensure all research outputs are effectively promoted across various channels. Key tasks

Providing cover for maternity leave, the role will include, but not be limited to:

• Serve as the primary point of coordination for the Communications team, streamlining communications and lines of effort between research and communications teams.
• Lead the management of the Communications team's forward planner. You'll coordinate with other supporting functions including Publications and Events to proactively capture upcoming content, and ensure this information is shared effectively.
•        Lead the development and execution of communications plans for new research reports and activities, overseeing the entire project lifecycle.
•     Manage the plans for upcoming publications by collaborating with the Head of Research Governance and Editorial Publications. Proactively schedule meetings with researchers at key points in the publication timeline.
•        Oversee the logistical and administrative needs for research communication plans, including calendar management for key personnel, preparing post meeting materials, and overseeing project correspondence to ensure seamless communication.
•        Coordinate with the publications team to set strategic release dates for publications, aligning with the institute's overall calendar and major events.

Essential skills and experience:

 

•  Able to work independently and as part of a team, quickly forming effective relationships with colleagues and   other teams. The role requires close coordination with our research, publications and events teams and within the communications function
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, track deadlines and coordinate activity across different teams.

About Rockinghorse Children’s Charity

Rockinghorse Children’s Charity supports sick and disabled children across Sussex. We support babies, children and young people, along with their families, at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and all of the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex. 

We deliver and fund projects that enable doctors and nurses to do more. All of projects are led by the needs of children and young people and their families – the lifesaving medical equipment, the support for parents and families, the toys for children spending time in hospitals across Sussex, the environments and spaces that help children feel more at home when they are in hospital and additional staff to make sure children get the best possible care when they are unwell. 

Originally set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann, we have been supporting children for nearly 60 years, and in that time, we have supported nearly a million children and their families. As the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, including the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, we work with the NHS, charity partners and the Sussex community to ensure children can be children no matter now sick they are.

About the role

We are looking for someone to manage the fundraising income streams across a broad range of fundraising activities (including challenge, community, and corporates) with the guidance of the Head of Fundraising & Partnerships and in line with our organisational strategy.

You will be a driven and articulate individual looking to support the whole fundraising team. We are looking for someone who can multitask and manage a wide range of new and existing supporters. Under the direction of the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships this role will support us to engage a broad range of supporters for example you might be managing our challenge events, expanding our community fundraising offer, or supporting our amazing corporate supporters with their staff fundraising plans. Every day is different.

You will play a pivotal role in developing our supporter engagement activities to tie in with the overarching plans for the charity and help to grow the income generated. You will be a team player who can see the importance of the charity’s mission and who is keen to get stuck in. As a small charity this role is very much hands on – doing planning and delivery of fundraising activities, campaigns and projects.

Duties of the role 

Supporting the charity to secure income from across our fundraising portfolio:

Rockinghorse raises money to support children in hospitals, their families and the staff that care for them.

• To manage fundraised income (including challenge, community and corporate) with the charity’s strategic plan at the core of all activity.
• To work with the Head of Fundraising & Partnerships and the team of fundraisers to implement and develop a holistic approach to fundraising and supporters.
• To manage and advise all supporters with their events and activities in aid of Rockinghorse, to maximise income generated and increase awareness and understanding of the charity and our work.
• To proactively grow and develop new ways for supporters to fundraise for Rockinghorse and engage in our work for children across Sussex.
• To manage supporter journeys, products and mechanisms for the supporters you are assigned to manage.
• To ensure you forecast, budget and have contingency planning in place for your income pipeline across your channels.

High Trees Community Development Trust is seeking a motivated and empathetic Junior Employment Advisor to join our Employment and Careers team. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping others overcome barriers to work and achieve meaningful change. You will support local residents to build skills, confidence and motivation to progress into employment, training or education. 

No direct experience in employment advice is required – instead, we’re looking for someone with strong people skills, excellent organisation, and experience supporting individuals in a community, educational, or care setting. You’ll receive training and support to develop into a successful Employment Advisor.
