The Association of Anaesthetists is a membership organisation for Anaesthetists with over 10,000 members. Job purpose:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Membership Administrator to serve as the first point of contact for our members and to provide dedicated support to the networks of the Association, namely our Links network and mentor network. This dual-focused role is integral to ensuring an outstanding member experience, while also fostering strong engagement and coordination within our national networks.

This role will work with the rest of the membership team to ensure membership processes are being adhered to and ensuring that all member enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner. This role will contribute to improving systems and processes in collecting subscriptions in the most efficient way and to maximise subscription income by carrying out membership recruitment and engagement plans.

This role will be responsible for supporting, coordinating, and enhancing the effectiveness of the organisation’s networks to ensure a thriving, well-connected community that reflects the needs and interests of our members.

Hybrid working:

This role is based at our head office in 21 Portland Place, London. We offer a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.

Key responsibilities:

Member recruitment, engagement and support

Act as the first point of contact for phone calls and emails with members and potential members to maximise both recruitment and retention opportunities and deal with all enquiries in an efficient way.

Assist in maintaining and developing a system for membership renewals, which includes follow-up letters and phone calls encouraging members to renew.

Provide accurate information and support to new applicants, including actively promoting membership services and benefits.

Assist the Membership & Specialist Societies Manager in delivering membership recruitment and retention strategies. Proactively contact schools of anaesthesia and hospital trusts to promote awareness and distribute our resources.

Work with the Digital Communications team to raise awareness of all member benefits. Continually review the website to ensure membership section is relevant and up to date and act as a membership champion across the Association.

To be a membership ambassador for the Association and help promote membership at external conferences and events including lunch and learns and Association conferences.

Data management and reporting

To monitor all new member applications and to help process new, renewed and existing memberships in the CRM/relevant database if needed. Enter and amend financial data relating to subscriptions.

To carry out user acceptance testing as and when needed, to log tickets related to CRM issues.

Update individual membership records e.g. addresses, membership categories, etc, as well as dealing with email bounce backs and returned mail. To update deceased members and mailing preferences as and when we receive notifications.

To have a detailed understanding of data protection legislation and implement best practices from the data protection policy and the new legislation for GDPR.

Export the mailing list for printed copies of the magazine and journal each month and the ESAIC Associate Member request list to ESAIC twice a year.

Contribute to regular data cleansing exercises to ensure that the membership database is maintained and refreshed to certify its validity.

Network Support

Act as the main liaison for Association networks (e.g., Links and mentors networks), providing administrative support, and sending out communication to them.

Work with network leads and membership management to ensure accurate sharing of updates, best practice, and resources across the network, via e-shots or other communication channels. Assist in organising network meetings and events.

Support strategies on how to grow networks, liaising with relevant team members and clinicians on these. Monitor activity across the network to help identify opportunities for collaboration, improvement, or celebration.

Maintain a directory of the networks and manage documentation and files related to network schemes. Ensure network resources and information is updated on Association’s website

Team support

Prioritise the workload of the membership team as agreed with the Membership & Specialist Societies Manager, alerting any delays or problems with the administration of membership.

Abide by organisational policies, codes of conduct and practice as described in the Staff Handbook.

Support and promote the Association’s commitment to diversity and equality of opportunity in the workplace.

Maintain and improve your own competencies through continuous professional development.

This new role will focus on driving business development and fundraising opportunities, and ensuring robust contract administration across METRO's HIV services. METRO runs various HIV prevention and support services across London and the Southeast. You will be managed by Jamil De Dominicis. Jamil joined ClientEarth in 2019 and is based in London. As Global Head of Grants, he leads the Grants Management team and oversees ClientEarth’s grants income from trusts, foundations and other statutory and institutional funders. Prior to joining ClientEarth, Jamil worked in various policy, research and grant management roles at the international affairs think tank Chatham House and the National Foundation for Youth Music.

Main Duties

• Manage a portfolio of grants from key Trusts, Foundations and statutory funders. Ensure that funders are aware of project performance, and that ClientEarth’s implementation is always in compliance with grant agreements. 
• Develop and produce well researched and comprehensive proposals and reports to existing donors that meet funding priorities and requirements, within the submission deadline and oversee the coordination of Programme, Development and Finance teams as required for effective grant management. 
• Work closely with the Global Head of Grants, Grants Management Lead and wider Development Leadership on budget forecasts and donor pipeline to ensure effective, joined-up cultivation of prospects and income generation.

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

Overall job purpose

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on us supporting communities around our churches caring for, opening, using and raising money for them. The Lead Local Community Officer will play the prime role in ensuring that local people are engaged, recruited, trained and supported.

The Lead Local Community Officer will lead the regional team of Local Community Officers to support, recruit, liaise with and develop volunteer and community supporters to care, open, use and raise money for the CCT’s collection of historic churches.

They will head the Church Planning process for the region, ensuring every church maintains and develops their co-created Church Plan.

About the role

You will be at the forefront of establishing a centrally-located PMO to embed project excellence in a mission-driven environment, operating both strategically and hands on across the King’s Fund. Trusts and Foundations Manager 

St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity (SMITFC) is looking for a strategic, relationship-driven Trusts and Foundations Manager to help shape the future of our income generation from charitable trusts and foundations. This is a pivotal role within our Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations Team, working to ensure that we not only maintain but significantly grow our sustainable income streams in support of people experiencing homelessness and extreme vulnerability.

Working alongside the Philanthropy Manager and Prospect Researcher, this role will be responsible for identifying and securing new 5-6 figure+ gifts, maintaining and deepening engagement with our existing funding partners and developing a pipeline of future funding opportunities designed to spread risk and build for a reliable, realistic income growth over time.

Key Responsibilities

 The successful candidate will:

• Work with the Head of Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations (P&TF) to develop the Charity’s Trust and Foundations growth strategy ensuring it maximises sustainable net income from both general and restricted Trust and Foundation funding sources, diversifies income and starts to spread income timelines away from a reliance on our Christmas appeal period.
• Work collaboratively across the charity to acquire an excellent knowledge and understanding of SMITFC values and programmes, to inform the creation of bespoke donor materials, cases for support, funding proposals and reports.
• Lead on the creation and submission of bespoke proposals and reports to existing Trusts and Foundations, maintaining accurate development and submission deadlines and excellent records of progress and outcomes on CRM.
• Lead on the cultivation and maintenance of strong relationships with existing funders and trustees, identifying opportunities for key decision makers to become active and engaged in the Charity’s activities, whilst gaining a greater understanding of a project’s long term aims and consequent impact.
• Work in collaboration with the Prospect Researcher to develop a pipeline of new 5-6 figure + Trusts and Foundations prospects able to give within the next 3 years.
• Lead on the bespoke stewardship and engagement of newly identified 5-6 figure + Trusts and Foundations prospects and ensure that submission deadlines are met, and reporting schedules observed.
• Work with the P&TF team to deliver our annual Christmas Appeal – to include the development of the P&TF Christmas Appeal 2025, deliver the annual Christmas Appeal Launch event, and optimize the use of social medial and other platforms to reach potential new funders over the Christmas period and beyond.
• Work with the P&TF team to develop the high value offering for the 100 Anniversary appeal 2026.
• Ensure that resources and budgets are managed effectively and provide Trust and Foundation fundraising financial information as required by the Head of P&TF – including contributing to income risk assessments, identifying gaps or shifts in funding and support contingency planning with the wider P&TF team.
• Ensure accurate records of funding opportunities, donor contact details and prospect research are maintained across CRM and finance systems.
• Work collaboratively with SMITF partner charities to align stewardship, donor asks and maximise income.

The Senior Fundraising Support & Services Manager will lead a team of two Fundraising Support Executives, providing pre-award support to income-generating teams in the UK, USA and internationally. · Experience leading fundraising or advancement operations within higher education, not-for-profit, or a comparable complex organisation.

Position: Programme Officer

Reporting to: Senior Programme Manager

Location: Sidcup, Greater London, and hybrid working of 1 day in the office and 4 days remote (subject to change)

Contract Type: Permanent and full-time

Starting Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 gross per annum (based on experience) plus benefits

Purpose

The Programme Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of project delivery activities across our portfolio, predominantly in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. 

The post holder will support project delivery, ensuring quality expectations (internal and client), delivering within the scope and budgeted resources of projects, and in line with project timelines. The post holder will work closely with other members of the project delivery team, our technical team, delivery partners, and consultants to ensure projects maximise their positive impact.

The Programme Officer will also support the Senior Programme Manager to disseminate good management practice across the organisation, and advise on delivery approaches.

Main Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Programme Officer include the following:

Project Support

• Provide support to Programme Managers in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and comply with client contracts
• Take on the project management of assigned select projects within a determined budget/complexity threshold, ensuring that they are delivered to time and quality
• Set-up and monitor project workplans, including change requests ensuring that approvals are formally recorded and filed
• Manage day-to-day relationships with delivery partners and internal team(s) and build a solid understanding of delivery needs and timelines across projects
• Monitor and support timely client and consultant billing and invoices attached to delivery
• Support onboarding of consultants for new projects, including due diligence checks and contract preparation based on set templates
• Ensure project management software and tools are accurate and kept up to date for allocated projects
• Provide timely responses to client queries and alert the Head of UK/Kenya Programme Management of any potential risks
• Lead duty of care and travel planning for staff and consultants, working alongside administrative officers
• Liaise closely with technical colleagues, Head of team, and Programme Managers / Officers on project support needs.

 Project Financial Management

• Monitor project budget performance, capturing variances and liaising with the Finance Team and Head of UK/Kenya Programme Management
• Monitor and support the processing of consultants’ expenses/fees against contracts and client invoices against contracts
• Make recommendations to ensure financial outcomes are met with respect to time, quality and cost, and provide early warning of project overspend
• Prepare internal project update reporting including finances and resourcing using required management tools. 

Organisational Support and Business Development

• Provide support in strengthening policies, procedures, and management tools for Development Pathways
• Coordinate with wider project teams to ensure technical capacity is well planned across Development Pathways’ portfolio of projects 
• Signpost colleagues to relevant project management tools and processes, when required
• Support project closure processes as required, capturing and sharing lessons internally
• Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior members
• Assist with the identification and monitoring of business opportunities in donor markets, as requested
• Update SharePoint and ensure project data sheets are developed and up to date to facilitate bids for tenders
• Collate and share project information to support the Business Development and Communications department.

 

Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours

The Programme Officer will require the following combination of applied skills, knowledge, and behaviours to successfully contribute to team goals:

Required:

• An undergraduate degree in an appropriate subject 
• Up to 2 years’ experience working on project support or delivery within international development,  research and/or the consultancy sector
• Ability and confidence to work independently and manage their own workflows
• Good communication skills and an ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders at the individual level and in representation of the organisation
• Excellent drafting skills.
•  Ability to understand and effectively analyse and utilise financial information
• Proven ability to resolve problems, anticipate barriers and create practical solutions
• High IT proficiency (Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), SharePoint, etc.)
• Demonstrated attention to detail ensuring quality standards are maintained
• Ability to travel internationally when required.

Advantageous:

• 1-2 years direct project management experience
• Proficiency in additional languages, especially Arabic or French.
