The Major Giving Department at the NSPCC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to become part of the Statutory Team, securing significant income from national, devolved and local government, research grant-makers and commercial tenders.
The Senior Public Sector Development Manager will work with the Lead for Public Sector Development, the Associate Head of Philanthropy, another Senior Public Sector Development Manager and two Public Sector Development Managers towards a shared income target of around £5 million per annum. These funds will create ground-breaking NSPCC projects that support millions of children, and help prevent abuse across the UK.
The recruited fundraiser will work at both a national and local level to lead on securing six and seven-figure grants to help the Statutory team achieve its annual income target. Working across the charity, they will build relationships with senior stakeholders, and source and share information with funders through engaging written materials, phone conversations and face-to-face meetings. Alongside managing their own portfolio, they will think strategically and lead on maximising new public sector funding streams.
The Major Giving Department is open and supportive with an active social life. The wider Trusts & Statutory Team has grown considerably - increasing its annual income by more than £6 million since 2017/18. With bespoke training opportunities, room for significant development and growth, and the support of colleagues and resource teams, the role will provide the opportunity to make a positive change for children and families across the UK.

- A track record of successfully bidding for six and/or seven-figure donations

Role Requirements
- Support planning and changes in the administration of children and young people’s timetable for children and family services.
- Support with photocopying of notes for subject access/ solicitor requests (SARS).
- Manage the SARS and redacting process with appropriate members of the Therapies teams.
- Update logs and coordinate the Clinical and Safeguarding Supervision across the Therapies teams, escalating non-compliance where required.
- Monitor mandatory training compliance and administer booking processes for all relevant training sessions/course.
- Coordinating specialist clinics, including spine and hip clinics; liaising with the Physiotherapy team to ensure the correct children are on the schedule. Liaison with external Consultants to organise the clinic lists.
- Carry out audiotyping of clinic letters and distribute as required.
- Update absences within the teams onto the SMI (staff care) system, as requested by the Heads of Service.
- Place orders for any required equipment and/or resources for departments and for the children and young people as deemed necessary.
- Take overview of clinical asset ordering, linking with the clinical assets team and management system, in line with MHRA guidelines and the medical devices policy.
- Track and monitor equipment orders with Heads of service, escalate delays and provide a central overview for all equipment re-charges and ordering.
- Raise and receipt PO’s and invoices for the therapies directorate and liaise closely with the finance team.
- Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

What are we looking for?
Sue Lambert Trust are looking for a resilient and experienced counsellor ready to take on the challenge of a leadership and management role within an organisation passionate about offering a kind, safe and supportive therapeutic service to survivors of sexual abuse and violence. In this role you would be responsible for the professional development of our team of counsellors as well as supporting both trainee and experienced counsellors in their work with us.
Background Information:
Sue Lambert Trust provides kind, safe, supportive help for people who have experienced sexual or domestic abuse at some point in their lives.
We provide free, specialist support that enables people to recover, heal and build resilience to face the future. Our support is organized around a three-phased trauma informed approach.
Phase One Groundwork is designed to support clients with practical issues as well as providing stabilisation in preparation for counselling. Around 200 clients per year access this service.
Phase Two Counselling is the core provision and is delivered by 50+ trained counsellor volunteers working with around 300 clients weekly.
Phase Three aims to build resilience and includes interventions such as self-help groups.
We are funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioners Office, Ministry of Justice, National Lottery and several local and national Trusts and Foundations.

Job Title:Counselling Support and Development Manager
Responsible to: Head of Counselling
Job purpose:
- To ensure that all counsellors and staff are provided with the skills and knowledge to deliver and develop Sue Lambert Trust services.
- To support the Head of Counselling to manage a team of staff and counsellors in delivering effective, safe and quality counselling and other appropriate therapeutic services.
- To support the Head of Counselling in the development of clinical services, and work collaboratively with the Service Support and Development Manager to implement Trauma Informed Practices (TIP)
- To support the Head of Counselling in creating a safeguarding culture throughout the organisation.
Main responsibilities:
Operational Delivery
1. To develop and lead a needs-based plan for the learning and development of the counselling team aligned with Sue Lambert Trust strategy.
2. To organise and manage trainee counsellor placements, working in partnership with counsellor training providers to support and develop trainees in their ongoing training.
3. To act as the Senior Counselling Lead for all trainee counsellors, undertaking case management monthly
4. To work collaboratively to develop and support the implementation of consistent working practices across our sites with a focus on our Great Yarmouth office.
5. To lead on the development and training of a dedicated team of EMDR practitioners.
6. To act as one of the designated safeguarding leads within the organisation, providing support to Senior Counselling Leads and counsellors

Service Delivery
1. To provide one to one counselling and other therapeutic services as appropriate in line with the policies and requirements of the organisation

Service Development
1. To ensure the clinical team collect client outcome measures and experience of service feedback to inform the ongoing development of the organisation.

3. To lead on clinical development within the counselling management team working alongside the Service Support and Development Manager to ensure quality of policies and procedures is client centred and trauma aware.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum Diploma level qualification in counselling

Age UK are recruiting for a Senior Influencing Project Manager on a fixed term 12 month contract.
We will be developing a number of research, policy and practice development projects in support of our new strategy. These include the 'extremely vulnerable people' project and a new partnership researching older people's experiences pre and post an urgent episode of care or emergency hospital admission.
This exciting opportunity will also take on responsibility for managing our response to the Pandemic Inquiry and relationship with the Health and Wellbeing Alliance. This is initially a 12-month role, with the possibility of extending to 24 months depending on project funding.
The successful Senior Strategic Influencing Manager will take the lead in designing and delivering these complex projects, including management of external partners, consultants or agencies and internal teams as required. The role will work closely with the Policy Lead, Clinical Lead and Head of Health Influencing to coordinate and drive delivery of the organisation's goals and strategic priorities across health and care.

The Young People Programme Manager will work with the Creative Learning team at Factory International to develop, deliver and manage programmes of work with young people between the ages of 14 and 30. This role will be responsible for the delivery of key strategic partnerships with commercial brands, as well as developing new streams of work with a focus on sharing power through curatorial programme decision making, programming and youth governance.
Creative Learning develop and deliver learning programs with young people and children from Cradle to Creative (the age of 0 through to 30) with a focus on underrepresented children, young people and artists. All of our programmes have a social and emotional learning outcome and focus on improving mental health, wellbeing and resilience.
