About Us
The Bike Project is an award-winning charity which refurbishes second hand bikes and donates them to refugees. We were founded in 2013 by, Jem Stein, after he struck up a friendship and found a bike for Adam, a Darfuri refugee who had fled his home in Sudan after war broke out.
The Bike Project has grown into a national operation with new CEO, hundreds of volunteers, a team of 20 committed staff, roadshows in different cities, an online shop and two workshops, one in the capital and one in Birmingham.
To date we have supported over 15,000 refugees and people seeking asylum by giving them a second-hand bike. In addition, we have supported hundreds through our programmes designed to build confidence and build friendships in the local community.
Duites and Responsibilities
This role oversees the securing and reporting of our Trusts and Foundation income, including working closely with colleagues to develop relevant, impactful and deliverable funding proposals and coordinate the stewardship of key trust and foundation relationships.
The role works closely with all colleagues to ensure a joined-up approach to income generation across the charity and our different supporter groups.
Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in preparing and submitting successful funding applications and proposals to charitable trusts and foundations, with a track record of securing five and six figure gifts, ideally within the refugee’s sector. You will have experience of working with, and applying for funding from, some of the larger grant organisations.
You will be experienced in identifying suitable prospects, developing pipelines, and managing funder relationships, adopting a strategic approach when working with colleagues across the organisation.
Location
This is a hybrid role, working from home with one day per week in either our London or Birmingham office. The salary is £42,000 for Birmingham-based employees and £45,000 for London-based employees, reflecting the London Living Wage adjustment

The Work Rights Centre, in partnership with the LEF Fellowship Programme, is looking for a Trainee Solicitor to join our ambitious and driven team. We are a charity set up by migrants and for migrants, and every day our multilingual team of legal advisers stand up for their employment rights and secure their immigration status.
This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with a strong sense of justice, who is looking to build a career in a legal profession. This role will suit someone who values impact, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable migrant workers and disadvantaged Britons.
You will be able to learn from three experienced solicitors, exercise your skills as an adviser, and progress your career in a friendly and supportive environment. The LEF Fellowship Programme will cover the cost of your mandatory legal training and exams. By the end of two years you will have had the chance to complete your SQE training and gain the required practical experience to fully qualify as a solicitor.
The role
As the Trainee Solicitor, you’ll work on a stimulating range of issues across two wide areas of law - Immigration (in Year 1) and Employment (in Year 2). You will learn how best to support vulnerable clients with limited English language and digital skills, how to spot signs of modern slavery or manage safeguarding concerns.
Working with our immigration team, you will help clients understand and secure their immigration status in the UK. You will support clients who have limited leave to remain (e.g. on employer-sponsored visas, Ukraine Visa Schemes, or pre-settled EUSS status) or who are entirely undocumented. Working with our employment team, you will work on cases involving non-payment of wages, non-provision of work, unlawful deductions, race and gender discrimination, or unfair dismissals. Crucially, you will have the opportunity to understand the real-life intersection of the two areas of law, as they are often experienced by the same clients.
This is a brilliant opportunity to gain well-rounded experience across all stages of the legal process, including interviewing clients, collecting information and assessing evidence, taking down witness statements, providing over the phone and written advice, and collating evidence bundles.
Alongside your legal work and SQE2 study, you will complete an independent social justice project aligned with your personal interests and objectives of the charity. This might entail legal research, sourcing strategic cases, or compiling data on the impact of the current policies. Working on this project will give you an opportunity to conduct strategic legal work contributing to systemic change.

Purpose of the role

The Prospect Research Manager will be instrumental in identifying and unlocking the potential of these supporters.
This strategic role sits at the heart of our Development team, building and maintaining a data-led pipeline of high-impact donors to advance ZSL’s conservation science, fieldwork, and education. By leading on prospect research, philanthropic analysis, and network mapping, the postholder will help ensure ZSL’s fundraising efforts are focused, proactive, and aligned with our organisational priorities.
The Prospect Research Manager will play a key role in overseeing best practices in prospecting across the team. From crafting research tools to spotting new funding opportunities, this role will directly support the success of ZSL’s fundraising programmes and, ultimately, our mission to save wildlife around the world.
This is a part-time role, with the option of working either 2 days (15 hours) or 3 days (21.5 hours) per week which can be spread flexibly over 5 days. We see a real benefit in face to face collaboration and staff work from our London offices regularly. We understand that flexibility is important and for this research-based role we are happy to discuss working location on a case-by-case basis with candidates.
The full-time equivalent (FTE) salary for this role is £36,750-£43,050, which equates to a pro-rata salary of:

Key responsibilities:

- Proven experience in identifying and conducting detailed research on high-net-worth individuals, trusts and corporates for the higher education / charity sector.
- Evidenced track record of supporting fundraisers with insights in fundraising to achieve six or seven figure donations.
- Experience of using databases within fundraising for prospect management and reporting and making appropriate data management recommendations (Tessitura would be an advantage).

As Finance Director, you will work closely and collaboratively with Amit Sharma (Artistic Director/ CEO) and Iain Goosey (Executive Director), supporting them as they lead Kiln Theatre through a period of transition and growth. As a key member of the Senior Team, the Finance Director will be responsible for Kiln Theatre's financial health and for ensuring that effective controls are in place and that all regulatory requirements are met.
You will lead and manage the Finance department, ensuring that the finance operation at Kiln operates to the highest standards and is effectively embedded within the organisation.
The Finance Director will play a major role in contributing to Kiln Theatre's business planning and strategic development, including identifying opportunities for efficiencies, supporting the resilience of the organisation for the future, ensuring compliance with best practice at all times and helping the company to fulfil its creative and financial ambitions.
The role will work with members of the Board, particularly the Finance & Risk Committee, as well as the external auditors. The Finance Director also oversees the finances for Kiln Theatre Ltd and its two subsidiaries - Tricycle Screen Ltd and Kiln London Productions Limited.

A key part of your role will be to lead our team of supporter-facing Fundraising Executives and ensure they provide consistent and exceptional supporter stewardship to our incredible fundraisers.

We’re making it easier for people who use our services to find and connect to the support they need. And we're looking at ways to make our support more accessible and personalised to meet people’s individual needs, no matter where they are on their MS journey.
We’re creating services that are flexible so that, when someone's circumstance changes, we’ll change too. As demand for our services grows, we’ll always be ready to support everyone who needs our help.
Our new structure and our new ways of working will bring all of these services together under one delivery model launching next year. We're creating a new virtual support hub to bring together everything our community needs to manage their MS or support and care for someone living with MS.
Our Services Delivery team are responsible for: virtual support hub, community support teams, service comms and engagement
Our Director of Services Delivery will be:
- providing strategic direction and leadership to our Service Delivery function, spanning services such as a helpline, digital and remote, and community engagement
- taking overall responsibility for and providing thought-leadership to our strategic approach for all national and community service delivery, as well as our engagement and comms across our Services and Support
- ensuring our Services and Support are delivered to a consistently high standard and be accountable for the performance of our services in our Live Well activity.
- using evidence and insights, development and delivery of a UK-wide Service Delivery and Development strategy that ensures our services achieve maximum reach and impact, responding to the evolving needs and priorities of people with MS, and their families and carers.
- leading ongoing development and continuous improvement of MS Society’s service delivery operating model, responding to evolving needs and external environment to drive cultural change and inspiring staff and volunteers.
- leading by example, encouraging and role modelling transparency, learning from failure, reducing complexity, user centricity, collaborating, and seeking feedback and ideas from all
We’re looking for:
- substantial experience in Senior Leadership/Departmental Management roles, with the ability to manage large teams at all levels.
- proven success in setting and delivering strategic plans and achieving long standing impact.
- able to provide sector-leading thought-leadership and strategic expertise within Service Delivery of similar type services and scale.
- proven analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions and improve services through development and embedding of strategic transformation.
- proven experience of delivering significant and sustainable business benefits through change programmes.
