GLAN’s mission is to use the law to challenge powerful actors and secure justice for people and communities affected by human rights abuses and environmental harm. Through strategic litigation, advocacy and collaboration with partners, we work to hold those responsible to account and contribute to lasting change.
The Head of Income Generation is a significant leadership position at GLAN, responsible for leading our small, high-performing fundraising team and driving the organisation’s income generation strategy at an exciting point in its development. The fundraising team comprises three people, including this role.
The successful candidate will join GLAN in the final year of our current three-year fundraising strategy, with an exciting opportunity to help shape and lead the development of our next strategy for 2027–30. With a growing portfolio of new projects and opportunities, this is a particularly important moment for GLAN’s development.
We have a strong and established pipeline of committed, long-term supporters across trusts, foundations and philanthropy, providing a solid foundation on which to build. At the same time, GLAN is investing in diversifying its income. Our individual giving programme has recently launched, and 2027 is our first year of participation in challenge events, creating new opportunities to grow our supporter base and develop new sources of income.
The Head of Income Generation will lead a multi-income-stream fundraising function, balancing the stewardship and growth of established funding relationships with the development of new opportunities. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on income generation and relationship management, working closely with programme teams and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that GLAN’s ambitious work is financially sustainable.
This is an opportunity for an experienced fundraising leader to play a central role in shaping GLAN’s next phase of growth, strengthening our financial resilience and helping to ensure that our work can continue to deliver meaningful change.
