Role Overview
Starlight has a long and successful track record of delivering high-profile, high-value special events, including the prestigious Blenheim Ball, Newbury Race Day, and until recently, the Highclere Clay Pigeon Shoot. These events are supported by influential committees and have played a critical role in raising income, stewarding donors and connecting supporters with our purpose.
With a gap in our Philanthropy team and maternity cover needed until around May next year, this 9-month fixed-term role exists to lead, develop and deliver Starlight’s flagship events at a senior level. Immediate responsibilities are for the Starlight Health Play Awards a key stewardship event in October; and the development of a Royal Palace Event to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Starlight likely to be in November. There is also the opportunity to shape the Starlight Event Strategy, with the development of a new event building on the success of our Newbury Race Days and the development of our biennial activity with the Blenheim Ball Committee.
This is a senior, delivery-focused role designed for an experienced events professional who can hit the ground running. This role will join an ambitious programme developing the capacity of the Libraries Connected public library networks. The Line is East London's public art trail that connects Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and The O2, following the waterways and the line of the Greenwich Meridian. The role
This role is suited to an experienced fundraiser with a strong track record of securing significant income, including six-figure gifts, within the charitable sector. Working closely with the Director and Board, the Head of Development will lead fundraising strategy, strengthen supporter relationships, and diversify income streams to support The Line's future growth and impact.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, you'll secure income from trusts and foundations, individual donors, corporate partners and other sources; build and manage relationships with funders and supporters; identify new opportunities for growth; and ensure excellent stewardship across all fundraising activities. You'll also line manage the Development Coordinator and oversee freelance fundraising support.
Key responsibilities include:

- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of the UK cultural funding landscape and fundraising best practice
- Experience using CRM systems and managing supporter data
- Financial literacy, with experience developing budgets and funding bids

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. The role will report to the Head of Marketing and Fundraising and will be responsible for developing and implementing the fundraising strategy, driving forward all aspects of fundraising, including building corporate charity of the year partnerships, individual giving, major donors,
trusts and foundations, legacies and community fundraising.
The successful candidate will be a core member of the Central Team, working closely with the Marketing Team to develop and deliver income for the charity.
This role will have budgetary responsibility to achieving a revenue target in financial year 26/27 of £1.5 million, whilst building a sustainable income stream for the long-term with Yr on Yr growth. Key priorities include increasing the Individual Giving and Regular Giving donor database, donor and fundraiser stewardship, organising fundraising events, and securing grants and sponsorships.

The Role
Our Individual Giving programme is central to our fundraising strategy to increase our unrestricted, sustainable income. This is a key role in supporting the Individual Giving Manager to recruit and steward donors across a range of channels including face-to-face, telemarketing, direct mail and digital. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple programmes including regular giving, lottery, cash appeals, in-memory and legacy, as well as to play a key role in our matched funding Christmas campaign. This role will help to meet or exceed our annual targets which will help us provide the best care for patients, staff and loved ones at our hospitals.
Key Tasks
- Help to co-ordinate our match funded Christmas Campaign
- Using evidence-based insights, support with the planning and implementation of several integrated direct marketing campaigns across a range of channels including direct mail, email, social, display advertising and newsletters including managing suppliers on concept creation, oversight of copy and creative and delivery schedules. Work with the IG Manager on performance analysis and learnings to enable enhancements and improvements
- Support the IG Manager in the set up and operational management of our face-to-face fundraising campaigns for regular donor and lottery player recruitment. Including invoice processing, complaint handling, site management and training for third party fundraising teams
- Work with the other IG Officer to optimise and improve our regular giving and lottery stewardship journeys. This will include researching and proofing content, engaging with supporters and looking for opportunities to cross-sell
- Being proactive in writing up process documents and maintaining documents for Individual Giving Team
- Day-to-day point of contact with external agencies including face-to-face agencies, creative agencies, printers and fulfilment houses
- To support the Head of Supporter Engagement with the development of a legacy marketing programme

Purpose
The Living Wage Foundation is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Media and Communications Manager to join our team for a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive communications professional with a strong background in media relations, public messaging, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be experienced and confident in working to tight deadlines, responding to last-minute changes, and prioritising competing demands in a high-profile environment. The postholder will lead all media, messaging, and external affairs work, developing and implementing a proactive media strategy that supports our mission and key campaigns, such as Living Wage Week and the annual Rates announcement.
