This is a varied and interesting role working with the National Grants Team and colleagues across the Programmes & Partnerships Directorate. We awarded over £2.4m of grants in 2023-24, supporting individuals and families experiencing financial insecurity. This role is about helping the team to operate efficiently, use our resources effectively and facilitating opportunities so we can listen, learn and improve using the insights we gather from our data, partnerships and people with lived experience.
This role requires a proactive, organised, and collaborative person with good attention to detail. We’re looking for someone who is committed to supporting impactful grant-making processes and fostering strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll need to be great at managing a varied and busy workload, capable of working on your own initiative and as part of a team and feel comfortable working flexibly to manage different priorities and timeframes.
We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are contractually required to work from the office a minimum of 4 days a month.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individuals to join our fundraising team as a Supporter Engagement Officer. In this role, you will play a vital role in building and growing relationships with our individual donors and managing digital campaigns and challenge events to help the team raise as much funding as possible to support people experiencing homelessness across London.
About the role:
As the Supporter Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for the stewardship of new and existing donors to becoming regular Single Homeless Project supporters. Working closely with the Supporter Engagement Lead and alongside the fundraising team, you will contribute towards the delivery of achieving SHP's overarching vision of a society where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to live a fulfilling life.
In your role, you will be responsible for building and delivering a successful supporter engagement campaigns focusing on:
- Building and growing relationships with our fantastic supporters throughout their journey with Single Homeless Project.
- Supporting with the management and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising events.
- Developing and delivering engaging digital campaigns and content through our online portfolio of products and emergency appeals.
- Working with internal SHP departments to create new concepts for supporter engagement.
- Stewarding new and existing donors to become regular supporters of Single Homeless Project.
Please note the role will follow a hybrid working model, with two days working in our head office in Kings Cross and 3 days WFH.
About you:
- Highly numerate and attentive to detail, with strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.

A rare breed of marketer/fundraiser and data analyst, with the unique ability to analyse and interpret data, you’ll be able to tell the insight stories needed to drive and evolve campaigns and develop new products.
You’ll have a natural curiosity to explore and interrogate all the data points available to us (both on and offline), being able to clearly communicate to non-technical colleagues at all levels.
You’ll have experience of working either as part of a marketing team or directly with marketers or fundraisers, and be able to pro-actively provide insights that deliver real change.

Key accountabilities:
Use insight and analysis to inform and guide the Fundraising and CX team:
· Work with the Head of CX to manage all campaign analysis and insight projects and ensure that interpretations of the findings and insights are delivered to the appropriate stakeholders in order to inform and drive future performance and strategies
· Manage the analysis of fundraising campaigns and products, working closely with the relevant fundraising teams to identify key learning and make recommendations for future activity
· Build dashboards and ways of visualising data that fundraisers can use on a daily basis to track, report on and optimise their campaigns
· Work with others across the CX team to report against testing schedules and strategies
· Run segmentations as required for fundraising teams
· Ensure that completed insight is effectively disseminated to internal customers and that they understand and use it
· Work with the Head of CX to guide, plan and implement market research as required
· Work with the management team to ensure reporting, performance and insight is made available across the organisation for all key channels and activities eg website, CX journeys, email etc
