Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby (GBWR) is the national governing body for the game of wheelchair rugby in England, Scotland, and Wales, is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, and is a full member of World Wheelchair Rugby (WWR) and of the British Paralympic Association (BPA).  

In the last ten years, GBWR has grown the paralympic discipline of the sport from a domestic league with a single division comprised of seven teams, to one which now has three leagues providing competition opportunities for 22 teams. The domestic league is internationally recognised for its high level of competition, where it regularly sees international players from Europe joining domestic teams and strengthening the level of competition.

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and driven Head of Community and Participation to lead the development and implementation of strategies aimed at significantly increasing participation in wheelchair rugby across Great Britain. This pivotal role will be responsible for designing and delivering impactful community outreach programs, engaging with local clubs and organisations, and developing innovative approaches to reach new participants, particularly those that are classifiable for wheelchair rugby (Paralympic discipline).

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in community development, sports development, and marketing, with a strong understanding of how to build sustainable participation pathways. While experience within disability sports is advantageous, it is not essential for an individual with the right blend of skills and passion.

About the role

The role of the Standards and Regulation function is to monitor newspaper, magazine and digital publishers’ compliance with the Editors’ Code of Practice and to take action to address concerns about editorial standards, including by undertaking investigations into serious standards failures as necessary. It’s a busy team that coordinates closely with others at IPSO and outside the organisation, engaging with members of the public, journalists, and experts on a wide variety of subjects. Some recent issues that the standards team has worked on are reporting of sexual offences, suicide, major incidents, and domestic abuse.

As the Standards Policy Officer, you will carry out a range of tasks, including analysing information drawn from complaints received by IPSO, supporting the annual statements process and engaging with a range of representative groups who have concerns about press reporting. You will work closely with the Head of Standards and other colleagues across IPSO.

This is a role for someone who is interested in news and journalism, has excellent communication and analytical skills, and enjoys working with others to achieve a shared purpose. Candidates who demonstrate relevant experience will be given an opportunity to demonstrate their skills through a written exercise prior to short-listing for interview. This means that we can measure candidates’ relevant skills directly and make a fairer decision on which applications to take forward.

As a key member of the fundraising team, you will directly support the charity’s work, as the majority of their services are funded thanks to the generosity of their supporters.

An exciting opportunity has risen for a versatile and driven Head of Fundraising. The postholder will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy, implementing the fundraising plan, overseeing the fundraising budget, and ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations. This role has strategic accountability for fundraising, but will be hands on, involving operational fundraising that delivers crucial short- and medium-term funding impact, as well as longer-term and sustainable income sources for Richard House.

The role

The Head of Philanthropy and Capital Campaign will lead a high-performing team responsible for cultivating and securing philanthropic income from major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners. A key focus will be overseeing the delivery of the new £50 million capital campaign, Join the Future, to fund the construction of the Royal Free London Cancer Centre.
 
This role requires a strategic thinker and relationship-builder with a deep understanding of high-value fundraising. You will play a hands-on role in securing transformational gifts, working closely with senior stakeholders, Campaign Development Board members, trustees, clinicians, and the wider fundraising team.

Prospectus is collaborating with an internationally renowned art and educational institution to recruit for a newly created role in their Advancement Team - Head of Advancement Operations.

Managing a direct team of three, this role reports in to the Director of Advancement. The post holder is responsible for providing oversight, analysis and leadership to the department based on their in-depth knowledge and understanding of information management and financial systems. The Head of Advancement Operations leads the team responsible for the management of the Advancement database, gift administration, prospect research, and leads the financial monitoring of the department, working closely with the Finance team and providing complex analysis and forecasting to the Senior Management Team, Governing Board and other committees. The postholder is also responsible for maintaining and delivering regular and ad-hoc reports for internal and external audiences, including quarterly committee papers.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role with a strong grasp of fundraising activity and working closely with finance teams. You will have experience of using Raiser’s Edge, Tessitura or a similar database in an educational, charity, arts or heritage fundraising department. You will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, and will be adept at providing advice on matters relating to information management, operations, and systems. You will demonstrate advanced experience of data analysis with the ability to provide recommendations and deliver actionable insights. You will also demonstrate excellent organisational, planning and leadership skills, ensuring team projects and targets are on track and met in full.

About the Role

We have a strong Fundraising & Communications team with a clear strategy in place to achieve growth of voluntary income from £2.7m-£4.1m a year by 2028. We’re seeking an innovative and driven fundraiser to lead some of our less-developed areas of Fundraising to achieve the potential that we know that they have. This includes Major Gifts, Trust Fundraising and Legacies, and supporting our Service Delivery team to identify opportunities and submit Statutory tenders as appropriate.

In addition to leading on the strategic planning for growth in the areas outlined above, you’ll be confident in establishing relationships across the organisation, collating the data and information needed to ensure that Fundraisers are able to build an excellent case for support to take to their donors. You’ll also be excited about helping us to incorporate our clients’ lived experience of homelessness into our fundraising activity wherever possible.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Fundraising Team as a Head of Trusts and Foundations.

This important role as a key member of Street League’s Commercial Fundraising Team will be integral to the success of the charity as you provide first-class stewardship to existing trusts and win exciting new partnerships. You will be part of a highly successful and dynamic fundraising team that are currently working with some hugely significant long-term partners.

As one of two Heads of Department within the Commercial Team, you will line manage two Trust Managers, and oversee all research and prospecting, application processes and on-going stewardship of partners. Street League also has a number of long-term high value strategic funding partners that you will account manage alongside the CEO and Commercial Director. Alongside the Commercial Director and other members of staff, you will ensure all income is secured against target annually. You will also hold wider leadership responsibilities across the organisation alongside other Heads of within Street League.
