As a Project Coordinator at Mind of the Student, you support the smooth planning and delivery of our mental health programmes in schools and the community. You’ll liaise with schools and our community partners to schedule workshops, manage logistics, and ensure everything runs to time.

Elders Voice is a charity supporting older people in the London Borough of Brent. Our mission is to enable older people to live safely and independently in the homes of their choosing and lead happier and healthier lives. We do this by providing a variety of services and activities, including a Handyperson Service and a Day Centre.

The Handyperson Service is our flagship service; it’s been in existence for 35 years and is highly valued by the older people who use it. The service aims to prevent accidents in the home and enable older people to live safely by carrying out basic repairs and improvements, and the installation of small equipment such as grab rails, which support mobility. Jobs include things like changing lightbulbs, hanging curtains and putting up shelves. Our handy team have decades of experience between them, and an exceptional reputation in the borough.

We are looking for a Handyperson Service Coordinator to oversee the Handyperson Service and be responsible for all aspects of facilities management at our premises in Kensal Green.

Salary: £18,000 per annum (FTE £30,000)

Handyperson Service

• Undertake all administrative tasks relating to the effective and efficient running of the Handyperson Service with meticulous attention to detail and record keeping.
• Coordinate the handy team and provide supervision and support.
• Promote service within borough and maintain relationships with Brent Adult Social Care, healthcare bodies and other statutory & voluntary sector organisations.
• Work with CEO in developing and expanding service.

Facilities Management

• Oversee all contracts related to Health & Safety and building maintenance.
• Carry out inspection of premises and flag areas requiring maintenance and repair.
• Ensure premises meets government regulations, health & safety standards and energy efficiency requirements.

About the role

Mind in Enfield and Barnet is seeking Community care coordinators for some of our most vulnerable users of emergency services. There is an established level of support from major donors at Action for ME so this is a role that will require exceptional relationship management to retain our current valued supporters while growing this crucial area of fundraising.

Key duties

Major Donor Fundraising

• Successfully develop and implement the philanthropy strategy to secure and maximise funds from high value individuals for Action for ME achieving annual income of £250k+

• Set plans and budgets which will deliver income through major gift fundraising and philanthropic giving through family trusts and foundations, including quarterly forecasting.

• Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors at the £5k to £100k level, to develop and maintain strong and long-standing partnerships

We are recruiting Finance Business Partners to support research teams and collaborate closely with the central finance team. In this role, you will be part of a research centre, working with budget holders and research leads to provide an effective and efficient financial service. Responsibilities will include producing regular quarterly forecasts and the annual budget, supporting project costing, overseeing financial management of research projects, and providing variance analysis. The Person

We are looking for an ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with experience in business partnering, financial project management, and setting budgets and forecasts. Experience in the charity/not-for-profit sector is advantageous, as is knowledge of different funders, philanthropic foundations, government departments, international organisations, businesses, and NGOs (grants and donor reporting). The ideal candidate will be able to present financial information clearly, work with accuracy and consistency, balance multiple deadlines, and have a proactive, self-motivating, and collaborative approach. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels are essential.

Role Requirements

• Dealing with incoming enquiries from across the organisation and externally to signpost to the right team in an efficient way.
• Point of contact for clinical administrators attending meetings, feeding back to marcomms team on activities and helping to keep lines of communication open between teams.
• Providing cover on press inbox if needed.
• Working with the team to create and send our weekly news round up.
• Facilitating the local induction and training of new staff to support new starters to feel welcomed, achieve compliance, and get up to speed in their roles.
• Arranging booking of regular Marketing and Communications team meetings.
• Maintaining the team sharepoint site.
• Supporting the team with planning and helping to monitor tasks that come in.
• Supporting the Digital Manager with managing tickets and enquiries to our web developers.
• Supporting the Marketing and Communications Officer to manage the collateral review and management process and assist with archiving.
• Assisting with intranet updates.
• Fulfilling printing and laminating requests.
• Creating posters and templates for retail.
• Creating resources for events eg name tags, signage.

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service.

The Healthier Lifestyle Service at Age UK Croydon offers a range of inclusive and accessible activities and events across the borough of Croydon combining, exercise, health checks, health talks and social engagement in a variety of local settings. 

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Service Manager to lead our Healthier Lifestyle team which includes a team of 3 part time Project Officers,  2 x Dementia Project officer 1 x Dementia Carers Group Support Adviser and a great team of volunteers.

Addressing health inequalities and fulfilling our mission means that the Healthier Lifestyles service has opportunity to grow and expand.  We want to reach younger older people to encourage “Act Now Age Well” . An important element of this role will be looking for opportunities to develop existing services and introduce a new services including some paid services.  The Healthier Lifestyles Manager is a member of the Integrated Leadership team to support our One Organisation One team ethos for integrated working and holistic support for the older residents of Croydon.

Some duties will include (but are not limited to) –

1. Monitor and manage workload, organise schedules, ensuring that work is purposeful, targets are clear and support staff to reach their potential and feel valued.
2. Support staff with regular supervision using the Age UK Croydon Empowerment Striving for Excellence, Innovation process
3. Recruit and manage staff in line with Age UK Croydon's policies and guarantee that efficient and effective procedures are in place.
4. Oversee recruitment and support for volunteers across the service.
5. Carry out regular supervision and appraisals and provide encouragement and support for staff including encouraging skills development and progression
