Job description

Harris Hill is delighted to be working in partnership with a pioneering Human Rights organisation to recruit a People and Inclusion Manager, a new and vital role that will shape the future of a values-led Human Rights charity supporting survivors of trafficking and slavery.

This role is available on a part-time basis (up to 21 hours per week) and can be offered either on a permanent or freelance contract, with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

Our client is currently evolving its internal structure, including the creation of a new leadership team, and this role will be instrumental in shaping how the organisation supports and invests in its people. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead the development and delivery of a People, Culture and Inclusion strategy that embeds the organisation’s values into every aspect of the employee experience. From overseeing recruitment, onboarding and employee relations to reviewing policies, supporting line managers, and ensuring a trauma-informed, inclusive environment, your work will be both strategic and hands-on.

We are looking for someone with a solid track record in HR, with significant experience and a strong grasp of UK employment law. But more than that, we are seeking a thoughtful and emotionally intelligent individual who has experience in creating inclusive, empowering workplaces, particularly for people with lived experience of trauma and exploitation. You will bring exposure to coaching and supporting line managers, managing employee relations, and developing wellbeing strategies, along with the confidence to lead on policy, systems and culture change. Crucially, you will be deeply committed to equity and sensitive to the complexities of building inclusive pathways into employment for survivors of trafficking and slavery. A collaborative mindset, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to navigate sensitive situations with care and professionalism are key to success in this role.

If you are passionate about social justice and want to make a tangible difference through progressive people practice, we’d love to hear from you.

To apply, please submit your up-to-date CV by the 4th of August 2025 at 23:59.

Please note, only successful applicants will be contacted with further information.

As a leading charity recruitment specialist and a certified B Corp™, Harris Hill is committed to high and ever-improving standards of equitable and inclusive recruitment. We actively welcome applications from all sections of the community regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion, sexuality and other protected characteristics.
