Role Overview
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with Help Musicians and Music Minds Matter to support the recruitment of their new Head of Communications & Integrated Marketing. This leadership position involves designing & implementing strategic communication and marketing initiatives that enhance brand presence, engagement, and outreach.
Working closely with the Director of Marketing, Communications & Engagement, the post holder will help create departmental strategy and lead its execution across marketing, digital, communications and PR, social media, content and people stories. They will ensure that activity is innovative, audience led, insight informed, creatively strong, well integrated across channels and measured for impact, while providing strategic challenge, leadership and identifying opportunities that could strengthen organisational impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the organisation’s communication and marketing strategy through new ideas and tactics to effectively engage target audiences and support organisational objectives.
- Oversee the ideation & delivery of compelling content across multiple channels, ensuring consistent messaging and brand positioning.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including media, partners, and community agencies, to build positive engagement.
- Develop and monitor performance metrics to evaluate the success of campaigns and communication efforts.
- Lead a team of communications and marketing professionals, fostering collaborative working and thinking outside the box.
- Ensure all communications are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with best practice and organisational values.
- Stay informed on industry trends and incorporate innovative approaches to enhance outreach and reputation.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in leading and innovating communication and marketing functions, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector.
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills, with an ability to deliver timely and impactful campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting clear, engaging messages for diverse audiences.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and content creation.
- Collaborative approach with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

This position is a key leadership opportunity to shape and deliver the organisation’s branding, marketing, and creative strategy for 6-7 months, driving impactful engagement within the health charity sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a cohesive brand strategy that aligns with the organisation’s mission and enhances visibility and reputation.
- Lead the planning and implementation of innovative marketing campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring consistent messaging and audience engagement.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of impactful creative content, including digital, print, and multimedia materials.
- Manage external agencies and internal teams to ensure the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of campaigns and communications.
- Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, reporting insights and adjusting strategies to optimise outcomes.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to support fundraising, awareness, and engagement objectives.
- Maintain awareness of sector trends, ensuring the organisation remains a leader in innovative branding and marketing practices.

What’s on Offer
Salary: £66,300 (pro-rata for 6-7 months). This is a hybrid role, 2 days a week in their London office.
