We are looking for a senior External Affairs leader to oversee a busy multi-disciplinary team to drive our reputational, influencing and engagement work across our national outreach, this is not a new post - it is one that already exists within the company's staffing structure. The role brings together three key areas:

1. Corporate Affairs and government and policy engagement, including parliamentary relationsand wider external influencers on careers, skills and education policy and provision

3. Marketing and Audience Engagement, to engage and support multiple key actors within the careers education landscape, including schools and colleges, employers and providers

The Head of Media is responsible for the Spokesperson Network and helping people in NEON’s networks make the most of media opportunities. They lead on strategy, developing high-level media contacts and managing staff associated with the programme. 

You will be someone who knows how to land stories and spokespeople in the media, capitalising on media and movement moments to push the conversation in a progressive direction. You’ll have a track record of jumping on opportunities, training spokespeople to deal with hostile interviews and staying calm under pressure. About the role

The Senior Media Officer is an important role in the media team. You will have responsibility for the development and implementation of a whole range of proactive media campaigns in support of our organisational strategy, and you’ll actively contribute to the successful running of our busy reactive press office. You will also deputise for the Media Manager as necessary.

As a Senior Media Officer, you will play a key part in the day to day running of a busy press office, and an active role in developing media campaigns and materials that meet the strategic needs of the whole organisation. You have extensive knowledge of different media channels and tactics, and your communication and relationship building skills are second to none. You’re confident influencing and negotiating at all levels – including with external partners, including handling crisis communications with diligence and sensitivity.

About the role

As Head of External Affairs, you will lead a team of seven and set the strategic direction for our external affairs function. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring our media relations, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement activities enhance the Health Foundation’s reputation, support our strategic objectives, and position us as a leading voice in health and care policy.

As a senior member of the Communications team, you will be responsible for contributing to the leadership and smooth running of the Communications team, as well as providing advice to senior staff and colleagues across the Foundation. In this role, you will:

• Lead the external affairs team, providing direction, motivation, performance management and development for team members and working with them to develop a vision for first class external affairs at the Foundation.

We are working in partnership with a Richard House Children’s Hospice to secure their new Head of Fundraising. Richard House helps children and their families in East London to lead as happy a life as possible when dealing with a life-limiting health condition. From the moment a child is diagnosed with a life-limiting, life-threatening or complex health condition everything changes. These changes affect the whole family, which is why Richard House feel it is vital not only to provide care to the child but to support the whole family. As a key member of the fundraising team, you will directly support the charity’s work, as the majority of their services are funded thanks to the generosity of their supporters.

An exciting opportunity has risen for a versatile and driven Head of Fundraising. The postholder will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy, implementing the fundraising plan, overseeing the fundraising budget, and ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations. This role has strategic accountability for fundraising, but will be hands on, involving operational fundraising that delivers crucial short- and medium-term funding impact, as well as longer-term and sustainable income sources for Richard House.

Main duties

Media relations

• Work with the Head of Communications and Campaigns to develop and deliver a proactive PR strategy to increase the reach of the charity.
• Develop PR materials including press releases, pitch angles, interview briefs, and media lists.
• Coordinate accurate and timely responses to inbound media enquiries, liaising with journalists and spokespeople.
• Work on media opportunities for our high-profile ambassadors.
• Support media planning and execution for fundraising partnerships and key organisational milestones.
• Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, and newswires, for opportunities and coverage relevant to women’s health.
• Analyse and share media coverage internally and externally.

The role

The Digital Media Officer role provides support to Crimestoppers and Crimestoppers’ youth service Fearless, in creating impactful content and campaigns that empower people to speak up about crime.

You will be responsible for filming, creating, and scheduling organic and paid social media content, and as the face of Fearless’ social media platforms, feature in the content yourself. Main Duties Social Media

• Draft social media copy for news stories and monitor media coverage.
• Produce daily updates on media trends and autism-related news.
• Participate in the out-of-hours PR and social media rota (additional pay provided).
• Support the Head of PR and Social Media and Media Manager with ad hoc tasks.

• Experience of sprout social and Cision
• Proven experience in a social media /media role within a charity.

As the Head of Fundraising, you will be a key player in driving their strategy for income generation. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy

• Write compelling funding applications and reports
• Lead new fundraising initiatives and events
