Job Summary
To manage talent acquisition for the Museum, working with hiring managers to plan and deliver effective campaigns to fill each role with the best possible candidate. To manage and develop a range of materials and systems to support talent acquisition activity.
Main responsibilities
- Be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment pipeline across the Museum (around 150 campaigns per year)
- Work with the HR Business Partners to understand and predict resourcing needs and plan future hiring needs
- Be responsible for the Museum’s candidate marketing materials including the careers site, developing content and working with the Digital team to ensure content is updated regularly
- Work with hiring managers to plan and deliver tailored recruitment campaigns for each role

The Role

Overview of the Team
The Corporate Services team provides essential strategic and operational support across the organisation. Our governance function oversees compliance, risk management, and performance frameworks. The finance team manages budgets, financial planning, and reporting. All of this contributes to effective decision making. We are also responsible for looking after our properties, which includes maintaining oversight of two commercial leases, and maintaining Dartmouth House which is a grade II* listed events venue and our Head Office in Mayfair.
Purpose of this role
The Senior Governance Officer will provide high quality support to the Board of Trustees and its sub-Committees, and the Chief Operating Officer. This role will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the Director General.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being at the heart of an organisation’s operations—helping to keep the corporate services running smoothly, so that our Education and Supporter teams can focus on delivering impact through our programmes.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Provide governance support including the preparation and timely circulation of agendas, papers, minutes and action logs for Board and Committee meetings.
- Monitor and report on progress against Board and Committee actions, ensuring timely follow-up and delivery.
- Ensure the charity complies with statutory, regulatory and sector best practice, including maintenance of key registers including the risk register, gift & hospitality register, declarations of interest, and compliance trackers.
- Maintain the organisation’s contract register, tracking review dates and supporting internal contract reviews and renewals.
- Provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to the Chief Operating Officer, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of the annual external audit, working with colleagues and auditors to meet key deadlines.
- Support the delivery of the annual Board effectiveness review, gathering feedback and helping to implement improvements.
- Facilitate due diligence checks as needed, liaising with legal advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Deliver one-off projects and provide flexible support across the Corporate Services team as required.
Skills and Experience
- A good understanding of Charities Act and Charity Governance Code.
- A track record of providing secretariat support, including minute taking.
- Excellent administrative skills, highly organised with very good attention to detail.

The post holder will be fully involved in all aspects of the day to day management of their designated service, including line managing the relevant front line staff.
You will lead in carrying out supervisions, case work management and working with the team to achieve service objectives.
You will work closely with the Contract Manager to ensure that the service delivers on all targets, both financial and those around the quality of the service.
9 - 5pm working Monday & Friday. Occasional asked to work weekend to ensure service needs are supported.
What you'll do:
- Lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
- Deliver effective supervision and team meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting and communication
- Responsible for the personal development of staff, identifying high performers and feeding into the organisations succession plans
- Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) required as part of the Contract are met and recorded correctly
- Develop key business relationships with all appropriate relevant customers/external parties to ensure service delivery excellence and maximise new business opportunities in own patch
- Participate in and monitor the initial and continuous assessment of needs and ensure that support planning is carried out in line with assessed needs of the customer
- Carry out other administrative tasks as relevant to the service and directed by the Contract/Heads of Operations
- Deliver an out of hours on-call service for region, where required
- Ensure that all safeguarding cases are managed in line with safeguarding protocols and are reported to Contract Manager/Head of service , as appropriate

The role will be pivotal in supporting our friendly fundraising team in the effective use of Donorfy.
The Centre has to raise circa £2.5m every year to support our work with young people, children and families facing homelessness. Our CRM and its effective use is critical to building our knowledge and insight to grow this income. It’s a critical role that will have real impact.

Key responsibilities of the role:
- Process and record donations received via donor platforms into Beacon and Xero.
- Conduct a daily review of bank transactions to ensure prompt and accurate coding.
- Process and pay supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with the procurement policy and scheme of delegation.
- Process and pay staff expenses, participant payments, pensions, and PAYE.
- Reconcile bank accounts weekly and assist with month-end tasks, including journals and accruals and ensure monthly bank reconciliation sign-off.
