The role requires someone who is both strategic and hands-on – comfortable operating at board level while also managing the day-to-day financial operations of the charity.

Our Second Home (OSH) is the UK’s youth movement for people with refugee backgrounds. We support young people to build community, become leaders, and flourish into adulthood in the place they call home.

Each year, hundreds of young people from dozens of countries and living in London & Bristol take part in our residential programmes, leadership training and youth hubs. Our residentials are often the first step – immersive, relationship-rich spaces where young people connect, reflect and begin to see themselves as leaders. From there, many move into leadership training and take on volunteer roles within the movement.

Our work is youth-led and rooted in lived experience. We are now implementing our 2025–2028 strategy, focused on strengthening quality, embedding learning and ensuring our growth is sustainable and safe.

The Head of Programmes is a senior leadership role, reporting to the CEO and managing two senior colleagues. You will hold responsibility for the quality, coherence and safeguarding of all programme activity.

Programme Leadership & Strategy in Practice

• Lead implementation of OSH’s 2025–2028 programme strategy.

As Head of Programmes, you will join our senior management team, overseeing the growing programmes team. Strategic Leadership of the Scholarship Programme

• Provide strategic oversight of the end-to-end Martingale Scholarship lifecycle, from selection and admissions through to scholar progression and alumni outcomes.

Role purpose

Variety, the Children’s Charity is looking for a Head of People and Culture to lead and deliver all aspects of the charity’s people strategy. Part of the Operations Team, this is an exciting role combining strategic leadership with hands-on operational HR management. The postholder will be experienced in driving forward new strategies, ensuring Variety has robust, compliant and people centered practices in place. This is a new role at Variety during an exciting time as we develop and launch a new three-year strategy later this year and invest in our people and culture. Income generation

· Converting pilot and seed-funded contracts to longer-term sustainable contracts e.g. current Postcode Lottery agreement in the North-East converting to a long-term contract with North-East and North Cumbria ICB (more information to this can be given at interview stage)

· Support drawing up and negotiating contracts and ensuring delivery

· Work with stakeholders and our internal team to scope and develop exciting new opportunities

· Develop and steward fundraising and donor relationships in order to increase income

Partnerships and Networks

· Build and maintain a network of strategic key external contacts that can support Advantage Mentoring’s work. Stakeholders will be from private, public and third sector groups. Take an active role in representing Advantage Mentoring to appropriate Trusts and Foundations

· Develop a work plan for private sector and philanthropic engagement to achieve a joined up and coherent approach to engaging with commercial organisations across multiple outcomes (financial, brand awareness, influencing policy and support-in-kind)

Communication, marketing and external relations

· Work with Communications colleagues to create materials that will attract new strategic partners, for example highly targeted work aimed at specific sectors being clear about the value of partnering with Advantage Mentoring

· Represent Advantage Mentoring with external audiences (in the media, at events, in meetings with senior stakeholders)

Strategic Leadership

· Develop and implement Advantage’s income generation strategy and policies, as a part of the Leadership Team

· Ensure that partner organisations understand and commit to our values

Management

· Oversee the business development pipeline and ensure that enough proposals are being submitted to make the achievement of income targets probable

· Provide income generation information to the Managing Director and participate in Executive Team meetings and Board meetings

· Work in collaboration with the communications team to build brand awareness, and promote income generation and impact developing content for key messaging, PR, and branding materials to support effective marketing of the organisation

The organisation rescues high quality edible surplus food, from across the food industry and gets it to over 8,000 organisations across the UK who are working to strengthen communities and improve lives.

About the role

The Head of Public Fundraising & Engagement will lead our public fundraising portfolio. This newly created role will oversee Individual Giving and Legacies, Community Fundraising, Mass Participation and Challenge Events, and Fundraising Operations, with five direct reports.

You will be accountable for public fundraising income and performance, whilst also helping to bring together teams, systems and ways of working following the merger. Prospectus is delighted to be working with a London-based charity that supports homeless and vulnerable people to recruit for an Interim Head of Finance. This is a full time, contract role for 6 months however the charity is also open to this being a permanent role. To start by April 2026, the role is based from their London office and remotely.

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Corporate Partnerships to transform and scale our corporate income. This role is full time, based at our King’s Cross office in London, with hybrid working in place. The successful candidate will work 2–3 days per week on site, with the remainder worked remotely.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious corporate fundraising strategy that builds a sustainable pipeline of six and seven-figure, multi-year partnerships.

You will diversify and grow income across strategic partnerships, charity of the year initiatives, corporate grants, commercial partnerships and innovative new opportunities — securing long-term, transformational support for Sense.

What You’ll Lead

Strategic Income Growth

• Develop and deliver an ambitious corporate fundraising strategy.

• Take full accountability for budgets, forecasting and income targets.
• Monitor KPIs and performance indicators, taking action to ensure success.
• Lead cross-team strategic projects to strengthen collaboration and shared learning.
• Ensure compliance with the Fundraising Regulator Code of Conduct, GDPR and data protection requirements.

About You

You are a strategic and commercially astute fundraising leader with a proven track record of transforming corporate income.

You will bring:

• Demonstrable success in securing and managing six and seven-figure, multi-year partnerships.
• Experience leading both new business and account management functions.
• Significant leadership experience within the not-for-profit sector.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Experience using data and insight to drive decision-making (ideally Power BI, MS Dynamics or similar).
• Outstanding communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• A values-led leadership approach that authentically includes people with lived experience.
• The ability to operate confidently within a large, complex organisation.

You will also be willing to travel across the UK and attend occasional evening and weekend events.

A key part of your work will be within HR support—helping coordinate recruitment, onboarding new colleagues, maintaining records, and making sure staff feel welcomed and prepared from day one. You’ll also play a vital role in keeping our policies current and meaningful, working closely with the CEO to maintain our review cycle and ensure that information is clear and accessible across the organisation.

Health, safety, environment and fire safety (SHEF) responsibilities form another important strand. You’ll take the lead in maintaining compliance across the organisation, ensuring risk assessments are up to date, first aid provision is well‑stocked, and our premises and equipment remain safe, functional and fit for purpose.
