The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. We are now looking for an Active Sports Officer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 36 hours per week.

The Role

As an Active Sports Officer, you will assist in the day-to-day operation and management of The Hub, the largest, most popular outdoor sports facility in central London.

Delivering outstanding customer service, you will create opportunities for under-represented groups to engage in sport and physical activity, generating income from sports bookings, events and fitness licensing in Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill.

You will assist in ensuring that staff, contractors, coaches, volunteers and league organisers and programmes provide a safe, high-quality experience and respond to the needs of our users.

Additionally, you will:

• Oversee the use of the Hub and sports pitches and assist with pitch inspections
• Assist with the Fitness Licence application process
• Ensure the sports facilities and equipment comply with good practice standards
• Open and close the Hub when acting as Duty Officer

Job description

Programme delivery:

• Support the Programmes Team to deliver our programmes, including Pride Groups, School Talks and School Diversity Week 
• Manage the administration of Education Programmes 
• Act as a first point of contact for schools on our programmes, answering questions, sharing new resources and encouraging participation. This includes engaging with new schools to increase our networks and managing a busy inbox 
• Engage new schools to increase our networks, including representing the charity at conferences and events

Role Purpose

The main purpose of the programmes team is to grow, develop and deliver all aspects of the day-to-day relationship management of:

· Schools and colleges running the Career Ready programme

Each Regional Manager is responsible for a local patch which currently typically consists of 5-6 schools or colleges, up to 100 students and 4-5 operational relationships with our corporate partners. Regional Managers will also be responsible for building and maintaining a local network of employer supporters and seeking opportunities for new employer support ..

There will be opportunities to be creative, as well as being autonomous in how you run and develop the programme with the Career Ready schools and colleges in your area.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities

Centre Management and Student Support

· You will work 1:1 with our community of school/college coordinators in your region to support them in delivering the programme. This will require regular meetings and communication, to support coordinators with the planning and managing of masterclasses, workplace visits and other Career Ready events for students and volunteers

· Regularly communicate and report to the Head of Programmes  

· Execute our strategy across the region

· Support schools and colleges in programme onboarding (students and mentors) and delivery of paid internships

· From time to time there may be a need to deliver sessions to skills and careers leads and to groups of young people within the school and college setting

· Recruit new schools and colleges to the network from the region in accordance with priority target areas. Manage their induction, training, activities prior to launch and implementation of the Career Ready programme

· Assist schools and colleges on our programmes to plan, manage and run events (i.e. icebreakers, launches, or student promotion sessions) and be prepared to present at such events.

Partnership Management, Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development

· Day-to-day operational account management for employer supporters, ensuring they have excellent experiences.

· Full partnership and operational account management for lower-level funders in your region.

General

About the role 

This is an exciting new post in the Communications Team at Glass Door. Reporting to the Head of Communications, this role will support the delivery of a new paid & organic digital marketing strategy, working closely & collaboratively with both the Comms & Fundraising Teams, as well as co-lead on the delivery of a new website. 

Through this role, we will ensure that all our existing supporters are actively communicated with and that we are regularly engaging with a range of new supporters through a unique & tailored approach.

Marketing:  

• Work with all internal stakeholders to develop digital marketing campaigns across paid, earned and owned channels delivering against KPI’s for income, campaigning and brand awareness. 

• Co-manage delivery of multiple/ congruent campaigns, appeals & events to attract & engage new supporters - often working alongside key members of other teams including fundraising, operations and advocacy teams.

• Contribute creative ideas to generate content for campaigns, news stories, blogs and social media

Monitor impact 

• Monitor the impact of paid & organic marketing campaigns to report on key KPI’s and metrics. Using tools within social media platforms and Google analytics. 

• Work closely & collaboratively with the Digital Comms Officer to ensure all conversions of paid promotion are tracked effectively & efficiently 

• Analyse marketing journeys for collaborative Fundraising deliverables – including campaigns & appeals and create monthly reports to share success of conversions

We are looking for a Contracts and Commissioning Manager to join our busy Finance and Commercial team to maintain oversight, monitoring and review of our care services contracts.

Reporting into our Head of Care Homes Finance, this role will see you lead on negotiations and contract management activity across bed-based, day care and Admiral Nurse Services for services purchased by statutory commissioners on behalf of RBLs beneficiaries.

RBL have six care homes across the country for the Armed Forces community and their families. Our homes, including five with specialist dementia care, are designed to be a home from home for our residents and visitors. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our residents and their families by ensuring that we make the best possible use of our resources to provide outstanding care in our award-winning Care Homes.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Ensure beneficiary contracts are regularly reviewed and updated to align with current legislation and good practice

· Lead on negotiations with the health and social care commissioners by developing a negotiation strategy and providing scrutiny to the contract requirements

· Develop strong working relationships with the contract managers at each of our host local authorities

· Proactively manage the contractual and funding arrangements for new state-funded residents

· Develop appropriate processes and measures for evidencing contract performance

· Support the Head of Care Homes Finance to identify, manage, and mitigate contractual risks

· Develop appropriate contract management registers, plans, and reports

New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. The Services Manager will be the key operational lead for the Alliance, and oversee successful delivery of housing casework services to young people fleeing violence and exploitation who are referred in. You should have experience of working in services that support young people fleeing violence or who are impacted by the criminal justice system, and have a solid understanding of housing options for young people under 25. You should be exceptionally well organised and have excellent partnership management skills.

Salary: £37,024 - £41,600

As the Monitoring & Rights Manager at RFUK, you will drive forward our strategy to empower frontline communities to monitor and defend their rights and to bring about systemic change in the management and protection of tropical forests. With a proven track record in programme management, you will ensure successful implementation of high-impact projects together with our local partners including the roll out of our innovative ForestLink real-time monitoring system. You'll propose ways to strengthen and expand the programme, coordinate with key stakeholders, and represent this work externally. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, your responsibilities include programme management and development, support to local partners and staff management.

Person specifications

The Monitoring & Rights Manager should hold a Master's Degree in law, anthropology, or international development, with 3 to 5 years of project management experience in charity or international development. Fluency in English and French is required, with a strong grasp of forest governance and human rights issues, particularly in West and Central Africa.

Essential skills include leadership, strategic thinking, negotiation, and financial management, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Personal attributes include a commitment to defending human rights, cultural sensitivity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Willingness to travel up to 16 weeks per year, including to remote areas, is necessary.

As part of our new strategy, we have six key priorities which include a commitment to deliver science solutions for people, gardens and nature, by rooting science across all our work to meet our social and environmental goals.  Another priority is to build horticulture for the future, by strengthening education, growing skills and networks, and championing sustainable practices. We have pledged to be net positive for nature and people by 2030. This reaches into every aspect of what we do, setting stretching sustainability targets for our own operations.

To support this new strategy and to develop our fundraising further, we are now looking for a proactive and experienced grants fundraiser to join our Development and Corporate Partnerships Team on a 12-month contract in a new and pivotal role.  During this initial 12 months you will be working to develop and implement a new plan which will significantly increase funding for our core scientific research from research bodies and other funding sources, develop support for our sustainability projects, and secure new institutional and government funding for our national education programmes.

Reporting into the Head of Trusts and Statutory Funding and based either at our headquarters in London, or at RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey, you will work closely with our science and education departments, collaorating with colleagues to develop a strong pipeline of sustainable and long-term funding for our programmes, core activities and new initiatives.  You will be familiar with fundraising for scientific research and other core programmes and be able to utilise your existing experience and networks across a broad range of funding sectors.
