We are recruiting for a Temporary part time Finance officer for a member body. This is a new role for the charity. The postholder will help us to review and improve our finance administration processes and support the charity through a period of transition. You will helping to implement new systems and processes as required and providing feedback and suggestions to the Head of Finance and Operations on finance-related procedures and tools.
Hybrid working 1 day in the office . This roles is 14 hours a week and can be worked over 2 days or over 4 half days
The Role
Financial Reconciliation & Reporting
Updating and maintaining Xero accounts system
Oversight of Purchase Ledger system, including weekly payments
Perform bank reconciliations
Perform reconciliation of income and expenditure.
Maintain accurate financial records in line with organisational and regulatory standards.Income Management
Process income received via royalty statement
Issue invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
General Finance Administration
Process purchase invoices and expense claims.
Maintain and update financial systems and databases.
Support audits and financial reviews by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
The Candidate
Previous experience in similar role
Proficient in managing day to day financial processes
Processing invoices, credit cards payments and expenses Familiar with Xero or similar

About ShowerBox
ShowerBox provides free mobile shower services for people experiencing homelessness and hygiene poverty – offering dignity, care, and a safe space for anyone who needs it. You’ll be responsible for taking the lead on setting up the Saturday service, managing the volunteer team, and ensuring a respectful, welcoming experience for all our guests.

The Role
Active Together is a multimodal prehabilitation and rehabilitation service that has been developed by world leading academics and practitioners at the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) at Sheffield Hallam University and funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research. The Active Together Programme is designed to prepare people with cancer for, and recover from, treatment quickly and to assist them to maintain healthy lifestyles after their cancer diagnosis. Further, the research evidence shows that exercise, part of the Active Together Service, can improve survival and quality of life of cancer patients.
The charity will be delivering the Active Together programme through our new Yorkshire Cancer Research Centre at Cherry Tree Court, Hull. The service will be open to patients in Hull and the surrounding areas.
Reporting to the Lead Fitness Instructor, as the Fitness Instructor will be responsible for delivering the physical activity component of the Active Together programme; supporting and advising on a range of fitness activities / services to develop and deliver a rehabilitation service for adults with a cancer diagnosis; working collaboratively to deliver a multidisciplinary, inclusive and responsive service, ensuring customer service excellence and responding to service user diversity.
Specifically, you will:
Service delivery and operations
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver the evidence based Active Together service as developed by the AWRC in the charity’s first bespoke cancer centre.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to adult service users affected by cancer, adhering to service standards; providing high quality care and support.
- Support service users who may have difficulties relating to the complex emotional, psychological and physical aspects of their cancer diagnosis.
- Create, evaluate and reassess individualised and group exercise plans in order to formulate a specialised programme of care for service users.
- Prepare for and conduct follow up appointments / assessments and report into Lead Fitness Instructor for review following appointments.
- Deliver group and individual exercise classes as part of the Active Together Service.
- Work closely with the AWRC to ensure the Active Together Programme is implemented correctly ensuring treatment fidelity and to ensure evaluation data is collected.
- Support the development and operation of administrative systems relevant to the service for data collection and record keeping within an agreed framework.
- Provide guidance and support for a diverse range of queries; maintain confidentiality and treat sensitive issues with appropriate tact and diplomacy.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of processes and procedures for the team, including guidelines and standards of good practice for rehabilitation of adults affected by cancer.
Communications
- Assist with communications and the promotion of activities/services following an established set of protocols and principles, in collaboration with other areas delivering the Active Together programme as required.
- Support the development of online and public-facing resources and proactively ensure information is kept up to date and accurate e.g. social media channels, designated websites.
Key working relationships
· Liaise with health care professionals to ensure service users are appropriately referred to physiotherapy, nutritional and psychological support as needed.
· Draft communications between the service and healthcare professionals regarding onward referrals or any queries relating to patient reporting symptoms, under the supervision of the lead fitness instructor or service manager.
· Work collaboratively across the multidisciplinary service team to provide consistent and high-quality service provision; liaise with stakeholders and colleagues; share information and represent the area in working groups and meetings.
General
· Embody the charity’s values both within and outside the organisation, role modelling behaviour and supporting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
· Work flexibly across the service to accommodate peak periods and adapt to changing demands in service delivery.
· Provide advice, support, one-to-one and group classes as needed that support the health and wellbeing of charity employees.
· Promote the culture and vision of the services, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing personal development.
· Be trained as a First Aider and where appropriate, a Mental Health First Aider and Fire Marshal.
· Undertake additional or other duties outside the key job duties within the team and across the charity, as the charity may reasonably require.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
Essential
· To have a CIMSPA endorsed Level 3 GP Referral Qualification.
· To have evidence of continued professional development relevant to the role purpose and level.
· To have experience of confidently and professionally delivering safe and effective exercise classes and individual exercise programmes to people living with cancer.
· To have experience of carrying out risk assessments, exercise testing and prescribing personalised exercise programmes.
· To have in-depth knowledge of the benefits of exercise rehabilitation for people living with long term conditions and experience of dealing with people living with long term conditions.
· To be able to travel across the Yorkshire region
· To be flexible to deliver weekend and evening classes as needed.
· To be familiar with the most recent evidence on the effects of different exercises on long term conditions.
· To have experience of working with behaviour change frameworks.
· To have excellent communication and interpersonal skills for delivering a service and working directly with service users.
· To have the ability to work with and assess service users living with or beyond cancer.
· To have knowledge of Health & Safety legislation relevant to the role.
· To have knowledge of UK GDPR.

The Job
As Financial Accountant, you'll lead a small team and report to the Head of Financial Accounting. About the Service
As part of an innovative pilot project, funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime, Solace will be providing two specialist workers to support victim/survivors engaged in the perpetrator behaviour change programme as part of a conditional caution. The programme aims to address perpetrators behaviour and increase safety for victim/survivors. In doing so, it is essential that the V/S has holistic support to ensure any risks are identified and managed.
This is a pilot project and it is expected that there will be a considerable amount of testing and learning, trailing new ways of working to meet intended outcomes.
About the Role
You will be working closely in partnership with Police forces in North London, as well as the Hampton Trust, to provide support for victim/survivors engaged in the CARA programme. You will also be supporting Police Officers to discuss eligibility for the programme and conditional cautions. You will be developing and delivering a series of training and learning sessions for the Police. As a new project, you will be developing key partnership relations, to strengthen collaborative working between the Police and Solace. You will provide light touch support to survivors whose partners are engaged with the CARA program, assess risk and share key updates with Hampton Trust and the Police to ensure safety.
About You
We're looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending VAWG. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. You will receive training and support for this role as necessary.
Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, experience of dynamic risk assessment and providing emotional and practical support to victims of VAWG. As this is a pilot programme where the delivery model may change, a flexible and adaptive approach to your work is important as well as willingness to contribute to programme evaluation. Part of your time will be spent ensuring that Police colleagues have the information they need to effectively administer conditional cautions so you will work closely with Police, Hampton Trust to develop different training elements, a willingness to develop and deliver this material is essential.
A relevant qualification in VAWG is essential, as well as willingness to undergo Police vetting.

Job Description
This role reports to the Head of Transactional Finance. The jobholder is one of three people working in the Accounts Payable Team, which is part of the Transactional Finance & Systems function. The Transactional Finance & Systems function is responsible for:
- recording and processing the financial transactions required to support the operations of ABRSM and its subsidiary ABRSM (Publishing) Limited and to enable it to meet its statutory obligations
- the provision of timely and accurate financial management information to departmental budget holders and to the ABRSM's committees.
- Management of the Accounts Payable Team including monitoring the volume of work and allocation of work to two Accounts Payable Assistants, ensuring that deadlines are met and accuracy is maintained.
- General review and oversight of the work carried out by the Accounts Payable Assistants providing leadership, support and training in Accounts Payable procedures as required.
- Ensuring all incoming Supplier invoices are shared between AP assistants and processed for authorisation daily.
- Ensuring Examiner fees are processed for weekly payment runs as set out in with ABRSM's payment policy.
- Ensuing Examiner and HLR expenses are processed weekly for payment.
- Ensuring Suppliers are paid in accordance with their payment terms and ABRSM's approval process.
- Resolving Supplier and Examiner queries, reconciling statements, and building strong relationships
- Ensuring bank Direct Debits relevant to supplier invoices are processed monthly before month end.
- Processing staff Barclaycard applications and maintaining expenditure limits.
- Meet with new staff to explain ABRSM's approval process before being given system access.

We are seeking a part-time Money Skills Coordinator to help us deliver our ambitious plans to equip more individuals with money skills. The primary purpose of this role is to manage Crosslight’s money skills courses that are attended by the local community as well as our debt advice clients. These are delivered online or in-person in a range of different locations across our network.
The role holder will take ownership of the planning and running of our money skills workshops, including setting them up on our systems. They will also act as a ‘champion’ for the courses, promoting them internally and externally, including through community engagement and outreach in different locations. And they will have the opportunity to deliver some of our workshops, as well as supporting and equipping our volunteers to do so to a high standard.
For the right candidate, this role is an exciting opportunity to play a part in supporting a wide range of people, through excellent organisational, interpersonal, technical and presentation skills.
