Job Summary

The BSR education programme is a key benefit to members and the wider rheumatology community, providing updates on the essentials needed to deliver top-quality care for patients and ensuring professional development opportunities. 

This role sits within the Education team who are responsible for delivering BSR’s educational activity. Working alongside the Head of Education, the Education & Events Manager, Event Executive (Education) and the Digital Events Manager, you will assist in the planning and delivery of a range of education courses, webinars, bursary schemes and digital learning activities. You will work with the team to support the work of our Education Committee, Trainee Committee and Digital Learning Board. 

This is an exciting role for someone looking to get further hands-on experience in planning and executing a variety of educational events and activities and liaising with multiple stakeholders. It is a unique opportunity to be part of the team at the forefront of rheumatology education, making a tangible impact on the professional development of members and the broader rheumatology community.

Main Responsibilties 

Event & Course Coordination

• Lead on course and webinar registration processes, including delegate bookings, communications, data management and reporting, and producing delegate materials.
• Support course logistics including venue sourcing and management, accommodation and travel, catering and AV.
• Support stakeholder management at education courses, including communications with patients, sponsors and event supporters.
• Occasional travel, including attendance and overnight stays at BSR courses, conferences and events.
   

Systems & Data Management

• Oversee the team’s CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and registration systems, ensuring data integrity, implementing system enhancements, coordinating stakeholders, and carrying out testing.

Project Coordination

•  Coordinate the rheumatology training webinar series, including topic development, speaker management and live delivery.
• Coordinate the education bursary programme, including promotion, application management and financial reconciliation.
• Coordinate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation of educational activities.
• Support the delivery of digital sponsorship and educational partnership opportunities.

Marketing & Communications

• Work with the Marketing and Communications team to create digital content to engage target audiences, including providing content for webpages, newsletters and delegate communications.

General Duties

• Manage the events inbox and education team enquiries, delivering excellent customer service and being the main point of contact for the team.
• Input into education budgets by monitoring progress against income and expenditure for owned projects.
• Support on reporting for and evaluation of all education activities and outputs, identifying impact and ways to improve.
• Support with BSR Committee liaison and logistics.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Head of Education and the Education & Events Manager.

Please note: This role will require travel and overnight stays, for example at our in-person courses. As we are a small team you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in cross-departmental projects, lead or contribute to agile sprint working and support wider business needs. There are other opportunities to get involved with our staff forum or peer group meetings.

Person Specification

1.  Enthusiastic about all aspects of education and CPD, self-motivated, and eager to contribute to educational initiatives. 
2.  Proven event planning or coordination experience (preferably within education and training, healthcare, or professional membership sectors). 
3.  Experience of working on a variety of digital systems, including CRM, and quick to pick up new programs. 
4.  Confidence to manage stakeholders at all levels and to deal with external contacts. 
5.  Professional and personable when communicating with members, customers and volunteers.
6.  Confident time and project management skills as you’ll be working on various projects simultaneously.

We’re looking for a driven and detail focused professional to join our Housing Services Team as a Senior Housing and Income Officer. In this pivotal role, you’ll help ensure our housing services remain financially secure while supporting our clients to sustain their tenancies and build brighter futures. The weekly working hours are 37.5 hrs, to be completed between 9am-5pm Mon- Fri, with occasional need to work outside of these times in the event of an emergency.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to for an experienced Finance Operations Manager to join our team based at our Head Office in Abbots Leigh. This key role is responsible for ensuring the efficiency, accuracy and compliance of all day-to-day financial operations for both Freeways and Freeways Trust.

You’ll lead a small finance administration team, oversee financial processing and play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems and controls.

As this role includes direct line management responsibilities, it requires the successful candidate to be based in the office for a minimum of 75% of their working time to provide effective leadership, mentoring and day-to-day support to the team. Ample free parking is available on site.

As part of our Finance Team, you will:

· ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information across both organisations

· oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and cashbook processes

· line manage and develop the finance administration team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture

About You

You will be a part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CIPFA) or have equivalent experience at a similar level. With a strong background in financial operations and systems, you’ll bring excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. Experience within the charity or public sector is desirable.

You will also have:

· Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

· Experience with computerised accounting systems (e.g. Access Financials, Dimensions)

The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) is looking for a Senior Manager - Network to support our mission to help every young person find their best next step. You will ensure consistent high-quality delivery and support for all Careers Hubs across the country.

You will play a key role in delivering CEC’s current and future ambitions through our network of Careers Hubs, including the government’s ambition for a new work experience guarantee to ensure that all pupils participate in 2 weeks’ worth of work experience by the time they leave year 11. You will be working within the Curriculum Team which sits within the Chief Social Worker directorate. The team oversees the design and development of Frontline’s programmes, including the Approach Social Work three-year master’s programme and our in-house practice education training known as the Consultant Social Worker (CSW) programme. 

The Curriculum Team is responsible for delivering teaching and learning to participants, designing and delivering assessment, marking, moderation and ensuring that robust quality assurance processes are in place. The Curriculum Team works very closely with a variety of teams including, but not limited to Delivery, Programme Management, Academic Registry, Partnerships and university partners.

The Principal Curriculum Lead for Practice Education and Social Worker Development will be responsible for Practice Education and social worker development, providing strategic leadership and academic direction for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the Practice Education CSW Programme and other training for students and qualified social workers. 

Some key responsibilities include:

• Provide vision and leadership for our Practice Education provision, ensuring programmes reflect professional standards, innovation, and best practice.
• Lead curriculum design and enhancement to maintain academic rigor, coherence, and alignment with PEPS 1 and 2 and Social Work England requirements.
• Lead and teach across the CSW practice education programme and Master’s Dissertation module, embedding innovative and research-informed pedagogy and contribute to teaching and assessment across other programmes.
• Maintain current knowledge of social work education, pedagogy, and practice through research and scholarship.

We are looking for a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England (SWE) who has a masters’ degree in social work or a related discipline, with substantial experience in social work practice and higher education teaching. You’ll have strong leadership and management skills, with an excellent understanding of social work values, ethics and professional practice frameworks including a strong commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and social justice.

You will have excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with people and be willing to learn. Cross-Income Stream Support

• Support the delivery of activity and appeals across major donor, corporate, legacy, and individual giving programmes.

The Cafes Manager will take full responsibility in leading and operating a successful cafes and catering operation, giving our student members an excellent service experience every day, looking to implement our cafes operation with new and innovative ideas led by the Head of Commercial Services. This role forms a key part of our Operations team, led by the Director of Operations. Comprising of both front facing and behind the scenes departments including; Cafés and Bars, Retail, Bloomsbury Fitness Gym, Human Resources, Facilities and Systems, the team delivers core functions and central services for the Union, as well as providing a diverse range of quality facilities accessible to our 55,000 members. The Operations team, and this role, are central to the successful delivery of our new strategic plan that will set us on the path to become one of the best students’ unions in the UK, and more importantly a better students’ union for our members.

About You and the Role

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of the organisation’s marketing work spanning advertising, social media, print, content creation, data capture and intelligence gathering, evaluation and reporting.

Working closely with the Head of Digital and Communications and the Design and Communications Officer, this role is instrumental in the delivery of marketing and communications strategies, and plays a role in nurturing relationships with stakeholders, including partners, artists and audiences.

The role will also be responsible for sharing intelligence and ideas to support colleagues across the organisation in identifying/developing new digital strategies to positively impact upon Modern Art Oxford’s reach, engagement, brand and profile.

Principal Responsibilities

• To work closely with the Head of Digital and Communications and in consultation with the wider team, to plan, develop, manage and deliver Modern Art Oxford’s marketing and communications strategies spanning advertising, print, content production and campaign-specific.
• Develop and manage Modern Art Oxford’s digital marketing work, with assistance from the Design and Communications Officer, including content production for social media, email marketing and website platforms.
• To manage ticketing for our public programme events using Eventbrite.
• To promote and communicate Modern Art Oxford’s artistic programme, spanning exhibitions, projects and learning work, to a diverse and broad range of audiences and stakeholders to support the organisation’s targets for visitor figures and online engagement and reach, whilst consistently protecting and building its brand and profile.
• To lead in promoting Modern Art Oxford’s commercial offer to a broad range of audiences, including our artist-designed café, our shop and our hires offer.
• To manage multiple programmes of work including content management, scheduling, project delivery and evaluation to ensure Modern Art Oxford’s communications work is delivered in an effective and timely manner.
• To gather and share intelligence to identify new and impactful methods to grow Modern Art Oxford’s communications activities in line with the organisation’s mission and business plan.

Person Specification

Essential

• A minimum of four years experience of working in a digital marketing or communications role within an arts or comparable organisation.
• Demonstrable experience of content creation and distribution across a wide range of digital platforms.
• Experience of creating printed media, including liaising with designers, printers, distributors and ad providers.
• Experience of working across multiple strands of communications work including campaigns, print, ads, social media, website management and email marketing.
• Strong knowledge of marketing analytics platforms such as social media and Google Analytics and AdWords.
• Experience of working professionally on paid social media campaigns.
• Experience of design packages, such as InDesign, Photoshop, or Canva, and content editing platforms, such as Premier Pro or CapCut.
• Excellent written, editing and verbal communication skills. Rigorous attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy.

Travel Requirements:

The role of Training Manager is a vital part of the Learning and Development team, leading on our core calendar of purpose-led, residential training programmes as well as managing the compliance and mandatory training needs of our people.

Main role and responsibilities

As Training Manager, you will be responsible for the development, planning and delivery of ShelterBox's core training calendar. This encompasses our range of mandatory and compliance training courses, alongside our residential training programmes and any other programmes as decided in collaboration with the Head of Learning and Development. Through careful planning, budgeting and engagement with key stakeholders across the organisation, you will ensure the core calendar and associated training content is relevant to the evolving business needs and is able to be accessed by all who require it. You will ensure the stewardship and maintenance of our training resources, and relationship management of key contacts at our training venues and volunteers to enable long-term, sustainable delivery of our programmes. In addition, you will support the delivery of other L&D solutions as required by other organisational requirements.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Annual planning of our core training calendar in-line with the business planning and budgeting cycle
• Development and management of the budget to enable the delivery of the core training calendar in-line with the budgeting cycle and promoting the best value-for money
• Planning and delivery of the Travel Security Training programme in-line with the requirements of the Deployable Personnel Minimum Training Standards Policy
• Planning and delivery of the We Are ShelterBox programme in-line with the induction pathway and business need
• Working with the People Assistant, ensure the management of all course and participant logistics including travel, accommodation and expenses.
• Scheduling and delivery of all compliance and mandatory training programmes including, but not limited to: GDPR; Cyber Security; Anti-Money Laundering; Anti Bribery; Payment Card Industry; First Aid; Trauma Risk Management; Fire Marshall, Etc.
• Maintenance and resupply of all training resources required to deliver our core calendar programmes, including inventory management of our 40ft shipping container.
• Business partnering with key risk owners such as Head of Legal and Risk, IT Service and Security Manager, Facilities Manager, and Head of Security to ensure our compliance needs are being met with the course content we have available, amending as necessary.
• Track and report on the compliance of our people against our mandatory and compliance programmes, feeding into the People and Risk Committee papers.
• Manage all risk assessment and mitigations processes for our training programmes, ensuring they are up to date, relevant to the risks faced on our programmes and our compliance with them.
• Support the management of the Qualsafe-registered "ShelterBox Training Centre" that enables the delivery of in-house first aid qualifications.
• Deliver Qualsafe-regulated, in-house first aid training as well as developing and delivering austere first aid training packages relevant to our work in high-risk environments.
• Develop and manage relationships with external service providers and volunteers to enable the sustainable delivery of our residential training programmes.
• Work with the learning management system to ensure all learning initiatives are tracked and monitored for completion.
• Support the delivery of capacity sharing initiatives with our programme partners in high-risk locations as required by the Programme Delivery team.
• Support the delivery of corporate and donor engagement events as required by the Philanthropy and Partnerships team
