As our HR Operations Assistant, you will play a vital part in delivering an efficient, professional and compassionate service across a wide range of HR, finance and operational activities. You will help ensure a positive employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle – from recruitment and onboarding through to transitions – supporting staff and managers across the organisation.

ARUK: Towards A Cure, our strategy to 2033, sets out our path towards a cure. It defines the changes we want to see for people affected by dementia and identifies the unique role we play.

We are currently mid-way through the first 3-year cycle of our 10-year strategy. Reporting to the Head of Programme Management, the newly created role of Strategy Manager will take the lead in managing and evolving our in-year strategic planning and progress reporting frameworks—ensuring they stay dynamic, effective, and aligned with our broader growth ambitions.  They will also ensure that ARUK’s strategy remains forefront of employee’s minds and embedded in teams’ work, building effective relationships with teams across ARUK.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Strategic Reporting

· Manage engagement with Heads of Department, programme leads, and key stakeholders to shape and align in-year milestones across strategic initiatives, ensuring cohesive delivery of organisational priorities.

· Conduct high-level analysis of milestone data to identify strategic opportunities, interdependencies, and key internal and external drivers. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to build support for integrated ways of working and ensure consistent communication across teams.

· Deliver strategic progress reporting at key intervals throughout the year, monitoring progress against milestones. Present key findings and forward-looking recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team and Heads of Department to inform decision-making.

· Develop clear, engaging, and informative reports for internal audiences that effectively communicate progress and priorities, helping to ensure the successful delivery of ARUK’s strategy.

· Proactively identify emerging risks to strategic delivery, assess their implications, and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders on mitigating actions and contingency planning.

Supporting the Delivery of Our Organisational Strategy

· Manage the coordination of ARUK’s annual planning and budgeting process in collaboration with the Head of Programme Management and Director of Strategy & Governance. Take day-to-day ownership of the process, ensuring effective communication and engagement across all levels of the organisation.

· Work closely with the Head of Programme Management and key stakeholders to assess and improve organisational structures and ways of working, with a focus on enhancing cross-team collaboration and the effectiveness of strategic working groups.

· Undertake horizon scanning and sector research to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities relevant to strategy development and delivery.

· Support the development of strategic capability across the organisation by partnering with teams on their planning and strategy work, helping embed structured, forward-looking thinking.

· Collaborate with external consultants and partners to support the delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

· Communicating About Our Organisational Strategy

· Support the Head of Programme Management and Director of Strategy & Governance in engaging employees across the organisation in the delivery of our strategy, helping to create clarity and alignment.

· Work with managers and Heads of Department to build support for updated or new ways of working that enable more effective strategy execution.

· Ensure that strategy-related communications are clear, timely, and relevant—particularly for managers—so they can effectively translate strategic goals into team-level action.

What we are looking for:

· Proven experience in strategy development or strategic planning, preferably within the charity sector.

· Experience of translating strategic thinking into practical plans and actions.

· Strong analytical skills, with both a keen eye for detail and understanding of the broader picture. Able to use data to drive decision-making.

· Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products.

· Experienced in working in a matrix or cross-team environment.

Additional Information:

Ways of working:  As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Bipolar is a severe mental health condition, characterised by extreme mood changes that range from manic highs to suicidal lows, affecting 2% of the UK population, and we are seeking a candidate who can work as part of our developing engagement in research, alongside our dedicated team of staff and volunteers in realising our ambition of making a far reaching and meaningful difference to the everyday lives of those impacted by Bipolar.

This role is 90% remote working. 

The Postdoctoral Research Manager will assist the Director of Research in running Bipolar UK’s Research Division:

• working with the charity and its multiple partner projects and collaborators to deliver on our current research commitments
• to develop the long-term sustainability of the Bipolar UK Research Division

This is an exciting role which will combine overseeing and managing existing and prospective research partnerships with research teams around the country and world, and taking part in the development of Bipolar UK-led research.

Current research partners include teams at UCL, Oxford, Cardiff and the GW4 Alliance, Swansea, King’s College London, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Lancaster, Liverpool, together with international organisations such as The Global Bipolar Cohort and the International Society for Bipolar Disorders. Our aim at Bipolar UK is to integrate research into the charity in a way which combines more traditional elements of facilitating lived experience involvement alongside actively contributing to and directing research. We are also striving to increase awareness of bipolar and to campaign for more bipolar-specific research, addressing the ‘bipolar gap’ within research and services.

Bipolar UK is very much a user-driven organisation. Approximately one-third of our staff, including our Director of Research, have lived experience of bipolar themselves, while many more have lived experience through family or close friends. Although lived experience is not essential for this role, we especially welcome applications from those with lived experience of bipolar and will expect anyone who takes on this role to have insight into the needs and priorities of the bipolar community, and a commitment to undertaking research which focuses on bipolar.

The Healthier Lifestyle team at Age UK Croydon offers a range of inclusive and accessible activities and events across the borough of Croydon combining exercise, and social engagement in a variety of local settings.  These sessions help reduce isolation, improve independence, prevent falls, increase fitness levels and manage health conditions.  They also provide social engagement and interaction, information and support around living with dementia, a safe and welcoming space for all to engage and relax.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Manager to lead our Healthier Lifestyle team which includes a team of 3 part-time Project Officers, one Dementia Support Officer, Dementia Project officer and a great team of volunteers. An important element of this role will be looking for opportunities to develop existing services and to introduce new services including some paid services. The Healthier Lifestyles Manager is a member of the Integrated Leadership team to support our One Organisation One team ethos for integrated working and holistic support for the older residents of Croydon.

The Finance directorate ensures Blood Cancer UK is financially sustainable, well-governed and equipped to make informed decisions in support of its mission through providing robust financial stewardship, strategic insights and rigorous risk and legal oversight.  

The FP&A and Business Partnering team plays a key role in enabling strategic and operational decision-making by providing strategic financial insight across all directorates, delivering the organisation’s budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.  

You’ll play a central role in shaping how we invest in fundraising to drive sustainable income growth—balancing financial insight with innovation and ambition. About Rekindle

Rekindle exists to create fierce critical thinkers who believe in themselves, question inherited truths, and learn in joyful, creative ways. We do this by developing a youth-led supplementary school provision which nurtures and supports working class young people (aged 11 - 14) who have faced numerous challenges on their education journey but still have a passion to learn and achieve their aspirations.

Our primary focus is to design an approach that offers support, connection, hope, and aspiration — one that pushes young people to believe they can be more, while first laying strong foundations of trust. We recognise that their knowledge and ideas are central to shaping this provision. Our approach is rooted in what young people care about, creating space for meaningful conversations with young adults and adults who can act as mentors. This is not an ordinary school or educational establishment. Our board of trustees — many aged 18 to 30 — have shaped the vision, created the previous curriculum, and will remain at the heart of the process every step of the way.

To make this vision a reality we’re looking for a Youth Team Manager to join our team in Tulse Hill, London, on an initial 12 month basis. Raven Housing Trust are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell in their search for a permanent Financial Controller. Raven is here to make a difference, working as a team to build homes and change lives. The overall purpose of this Financial Controller role is to prepare the statutory accounts for the Raven Group, alongside maintaining the general ledger, purchasing systems and interfaces to other operational systems, as well as leading the team responsible for managing Raven’s finance transactions, treasury, cash management and fixed assets.

The Role:

• Leading and co-ordinating delivery of the financial statements for the group including leading on the annual external audit
• Managing and developing the Financial Control Team consisting of five direct reports and a wider team of ten in total
• Management of the general ledger, including all financial transactions and fixed asset accounting
• Responsible for the financial control framework and for day to day treasury management
• Oversight of all VAT, corporation tax and the general tax strategy for the group
• Responsible for managing the annual rent setting process
• Reporting into the Assistant Director of Finance you will work with other Managers in the Finance and Procurement Teams to ensure best practice is maintained throughout the finance team.

Raven Housing Trust is a social housing provider based in Redhill, Surrey. They own or manage around 7,000 homes and are committed to investing in homes and neighbourhoods to develop local communities where people want to live. The majority of their customers rent their homes from them, although they also support customers who either own the lease to their homes or have purchased their homes on a part-rent/part-buy basis. You’ll be joining a highly committed team known for its collaborative culture, supported by a driven and supportive Line Manager.

Person Specification – Essential:

• Professional qualification (CCAB or equivalent)
• Proven track record of leading financial management in charitable, public sector, or similarly regulated environments, with a strong focus on compliance, transparency, and accountability.
• Good working knowledge of financial control frameworks, accounting and purchasing systems
• Skilled communicator, with the ability to influence and engage with a wide range of audience
• Proven experience leading on developing or implementing accounting and purchasing systems

You will be responsible for: 

• Driving decision making through insights on several strategic projects. 

• Developing an insight led decision making culture and structure. 

• Leading the development of best practices techniques for data analysis, visualization, and storytelling. 

• Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requests and translating them into analytical solutions. 

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance data capabilities within the business. 

• Line managing and leading a team of 2 data analysts   

Key Criteria:

• Established experience in a senior/lead analyst role with a solid track record of understanding of the production and role of data analysis in a business environment. 

• Significant and demonstrable experience of implementing best practice analytics techniques and leading initiatives to enhance datasets, thereby improving insight capabilities.

• Experience of using insights to influence stakeholders at all levels. 

• Significant and demonstrable experience of model building. 

• Strong communication and storytelling kills, with the communicate across a range of stakeholders. 

• Excellent SQL, Power BI skills and understanding of requirements of compliance in a regulated environment. 

• Line management experience would be an advantage.
