The Gray’s Inn Road supported accommodation project in Camden offers 16 short-stay places for people moving away from the streets and has quickly become a vital part of our mission to make rough sleeping in London rare, brief and not repeated. Funded by the Department of Levelling Up Housing and Communities and the Greater London Authority, and delivered in partnership with One Housing Group and Camden Council, this service is still in its early years, giving the next Service Manager the chance to build on strong foundations and lead it into the future.

As Service Manager you will ensure the project continues to meet specification while remaining agile to local authority and organisational priorities. You will oversee referrals, move-on pathways and personalised support planning, making sure each resident receives tailored guidance that promotes independence. By leading and inspiring your team you will embed consistency, quality and responsiveness in everything from day-to-day keywork and coaching to group sessions and links with external agencies, while also managing outcomes, commissioning requirements and policy adherence to maintain the highest standards.

We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel (Risk) to join our dynamic Legal & Risk team. This critical role offers the opportunity to influence and enhance Tearfund's risk management culture, support our global operations with expert legal guidance, and contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation.

The role: Working closely with teams across the organisation, you will:

• Lead on risk analysis and reporting: Engage with risk owners and focal points across Tearfund to assess, maintain, and report on organisational risks. You will manage key tools like the Corporate Risk Register with regular reporting to the Executive Team and Board Committees.
• Shape organisational understanding of risk: Support the Head of Legal & Risk in embedding best practice and fostering a culture of responsible risk-taking and compliance aligned with our strategic objectives.
• Drive process and policy improvement: Maintain and enhance risk management policies, procedures, and tools, ensuring they are empowering, integrated, and effective across the organisation.

• Support the Legal Team: Contribute to reviews of legal documentation, compliance advice, and support for incidents of wrongdoing—enabling Tearfund to operate with integrity and excellence worldwide.

Who we are looking for: You will be a confident legal professional who:

• Is a qualified lawyer with around 3 years of post qualification experience providing legal and compliance advice, ideally in the charity and/or international development sector
• Has strong knowledge of risk management principles and experience applying these within an organisation
• Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across all levels of an organisation
• Has strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex risk information clearly
• Has a commitment to Tearfund's values, vision, and mission

Hybrid working: This role is eligible for hybrid working and you will be required to work from the Teddington Tearfund office and from your home by agreement with the line manager. 
 
Contract Type: This is a permanent, part time role working 28 hours per week. The full time salary is £58,246 per annum. The part time salary is £46,597 per annum. The working pattern will be agreed with the line manager.

· Ensuring that financial information is accurately logged in our Customer Relationship Management System, so Direct Debits and Gift Aid can be claimed promptly. This includes the administration of BACSTEL-IP payment services and BACS job submission software.

9. Support the development of a new CRM for Relate, working closely with the Systems and Technology Team and Service Delivery Team to ensure a seamless front end client experience.

10. Manage existing infrastructure and systems integrated across the website client journey such as Acuity Scheduling, Typeform and Stripe.

11. Maintain and improve Relate’s website accessibility ensuring it meets WCAG 2.1 AA standard wherever possible.

12. Use sophisticated data and insight tools to test, measure and evaluate content, and website performance, and monitor emerging trends in the wider market.

13. Produce regular reports for senior stakeholders including data and commentary around website performance.

14. Work with external agencies to deliver effective PPC search and display ad campaigns.

15. Manage relationships with external suppliers, contractors, and service providers involved in digital initiatives at Relate.

The Role

As a Donation Centre Sorting Assistant, you will be reporting to the Donation Centre Manager, you will be responsible for quickly, efficiently and accurately sorting donations of clothing, bric-a-brac, electrical and all other donated items, for re-sale in our network of charity shops and via our eCommerce outlets. This role will operate in accordance with all health and safety regulations.

You will be expected to receive stock donations from our donors in a friendly, positive and welcoming way. We do not turn donations away as we have a significant growth plan for our retail network, so it is essential that you are able to remain positive and welcoming to all supporters and demonstrate our gratitude for receiving donations. Great customer service is also essential to maximise income through Gift Aid sign-ups and every donor should be encouraged to sign up to Gift Aid, if it is applicable for them.

Specifically, you will:

- Quickly and efficiently sort a wide variety of donated stock.

- Ensure that donated stock is stored appropriately and safely, in accordance with all health and safety regulations and charity policies, minimising the risk of damage and stock loss.

- Identify if any specific donated stock suits the profile/demographics of specific shops in the retail network and ensure that those items are ringfenced and delivered in a timely manner to maximise income for the charity.

- Communicate with Retail teams regarding stock offers and ensure that any requests for specific items are actioned in a timely manner.

- Create an engaging and supportive environment for our volunteers and ensure that the Donation Centre is a great place to work.

- Help create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all donors, customers and supporters.

- Support the volunteer team by providing communication, support, guidance and direction in the absence of the Donation Centre Manager or their Deputy.

- PAT test donated electrical items to ensure that they are able to be sold in the shops, or via eCommerce (training will be provided).

- Coach any corporate volunteers in the standards that we expect in sorting, and represent the charity positively.

- Ensure that all charity policies, standards and operating procedures are communicated effectively to all members of your team and be comfortable in supporting your peers to change their behaviour or processes if they are not adhering.

- Ensure that the donated goods are processed in a timely manner to maximise income for the charity.

- Manage complaints effectively and efficiently, escalating through the Operations team structure, as appropriate, where they cannot be resolved at a local level.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

- To be ideally educated to GCSE level or equivalent

- To have experience of working in a charity retailer or sorting high volume donated stock would be an advantage.

- To have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

- To have good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines.

- To have the ability to use own initiative and work with little direction, as management will not always be at the same site.

- To have good communication and interpersonal skills.

- A willingness to complete our pre-employment checks (to be undertaken once the role is offered and accepted) which include:

o A check on your employment history by seeking two references

o A check on your eligibility to work in the UK as per the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006

- A DBS check at enhanced level.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The Environmental and Sustainability Manager will lead and deliver the Federation’s environmental sustainability strategy across all academies. You will champion climate action, support academy-level implementation, drive behaviour change, monitor resource use, and report progress against sustainability targets.

As Environmental and Sustainability Manager you will:

• Leading development, delivery and monitoring the Federation Sustainability Strategy
• Provide high quality reporting to Federation senior leaders on environmental and sustainability performance
• Champion sustainability and environmental consideration as a key element of all property decision making including the development of our estate strategy
• In academies embed behaviour change, improving biodiversity of the estate, delivering on Net Zero (driving the reduction in creating carbon and heat emissions)
• Reducing waste (whether it be utilities, paper, or landfill).

Title: Human Resources Lead.

Reports to: Head of Operations.

Responsible for: No direct reports at this time.

Employer: Norfolk Rivers Trust (NRT).

Location: Office at Bayfield near Holt with opportunity for flexible working. However, it is important that the role holder is able to build culture and employee experience and be demonstrably participative in office life and organisational culture development. Visits across Norfolk and surrounding catchments with mileage expenses £0.45 per mile.

Job term:  This is a permanent 0.6 FTE position. The appointment is subject to a six-month probationary period.

Hours of work: 22.5 hours over a minimum of three days between Monday and Friday. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required, for which time off in lieu can be taken. No overtime will be paid.

Annual leave entitlement: 25 days plus public holidays (pro rata for part time).

Salary: £36,874.00 - £41,019.00 (0.6 FTE) dependant on experience.

Pension: NRT offers a contributory pension scheme and will pay 9% of salary subject to 6% employee contribution.

About the HR Lead role

As Norfolk Rivers Trust’s first dedicated HR professional, the HR Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing effective people practices that align with the organisation’s culture, values, and strategic objectives. Collaborating closely with the Senior Management Team and Line Managers, the HR Lead will offer expert guidance and operational support across the entire employee lifecycle.

This standalone, hands-on position requires a proactive self-starter who is confident in establishing new processes and adaptable to the needs of a small but growing organisation. The role is diverse and dynamic, ranging from advising managers on complex employee matters, enhancing recruitment practices, updating policies, to leading wellbeing initiatives.

Above all, the HR Lead will be instrumental in nurturing the Trust’s positive, values-driven culture, making it an exceptional place to work. Acting as the central point of contact for all people related matters, the HR Lead will also support the Senior Management Team in developing and delivering a long-term people strategy.

Although standalone, access to an external professional HR sounding board, HR advice and link to employment law advice will be available.

Key duties and responsibilities

HR Policy and Compliance

• Develop, implement, monitor and maintain HR policies and procedures ensuring they comply with employment legislation and reflect best practice. 

• Ensure policies are communicated clearly and are accessible to all staff. 

• Regularly review policies to ensure alignment with the culture and strategic direction of the Trust. 

Employee Relations

• Provide guidance to managers on a range of employee relations matters including absence management, performance concerns, disciplinary and grievance processes, flexible working, and annual leave. 

• Ensure processes are legally compliant, fair, and consistent.

• Coordinate complex or sensitive employee relations casework in collaboration with line managers and external advisors where appropriate.

Line Manager Support

• Act as a key advisor to line managers, providing coaching, tools and resources to help them manage their teams effectively.

• Deliver training and guidance on key HR topics (e.g. performance management, recruitment best practice, probation and employee wellbeing).

Recruitment and Onboarding

• Manage the recruitment process, reviewing job descriptions, advertising vacancies, shortlisting applications, overseeing interview process.

• Ensure inclusive and equitable recruitment practices are followed. 

• Manage new starter onboarding, ensuring new starters have a positive and structured induction experience.

Employee Lifecycle Administration

• Oversee all HR administration, including issuing contracts, processing changes to employment and managing leavers. 

• Maintain accurate and up to date HR records and use NRT’s HR database to ensure compliance with data protection and GDPR requirements.

Performance and Development

• Coordinate the performance review process (including appraisal, probation and the annual staff survey), providing support to managers to ensure a consistent approach. 

• Develop and support the implementation of learning and development policy and initiatives, including career development plans and staff skills audits.

Systems and Payroll

· Implement and maintain a HR management system.

• Liaise with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary changes, benefits and statutory deductions to administer payroll and payroll records.

 HR Data and Reporting

• Produce HR data and reports (e.g. staff turnover, absence, diversity data) to feed into the management team and use data to make recommendations regarding future practice.

• Use HR data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving people management practices. 

Strategic HR Support

• Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation (e.g. workforce planning, reward, and staff engagement). 

• Promote and drive delivery of the Trust’s equity, diversity, and inclusion priorities, through advice monitoring and collaboration. 

• Work with Senior Management Team to contribute to and drive HR strategy development and implementation, including reward strategy, recruitment and selection strategies, talent and succession planning, alignment between HR strategy and business goals, supporting change management processes.

Health, Safety and Wellbeing

• Collaborate with designated health and safety leads to develop and implement systems and procedures to create a safe working environment, drawing on specialist advice as appropriate.

• Ensure HR-related policies and processes reflect the organisation’s duty of care to staff, including wellbeing initiatives and support systems.

You will be responsible for developing our community engagement work in the West Midlands, as well as supporting the wider UK work. This work consists of developing the Safeguarding Action Groups (SAG) and also encouraging members of the local rail industry to engage with our training and become part of the safety net for vulnerable young people on the rail network. The Role

About the role  

As our Grants and Impact Manager, you will play a pivotal role in sustaining and growing Caring in Bristol’s income from Trusts, Foundations and statutory grants, by acquiring and managing high-value funder relationships. Alongside this, you will take the lead in developing and embedding a clear, organisation-wide Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) programme. This new focus will enable us to set measurable goals, track progress, and capture the real-world impact of our work - ensuring we can tell a compelling, evidence-based story to funders, partners, and the wider community.

Beyond managing relationships, you will help transform the way we demonstrate impact. By collaborating with service delivery staff to develop our impact monitoring practices you will ensure we can report back to funders with clarity, consistency, and confidence - showing exactly how their support translates into tangible outcomes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Bristol. 

You will also be instrumental in delivering a best-practice funder engagement programme, finding innovative ways to create value for funders through tailored reports, webinars, site visits, and other forms of involvement. Acting as an ambassador for Caring in Bristol, you will represent us to funders and stakeholders with credibility and passion, using your insight to strengthen our reputation and influence. 

Finally, you will act as a voice of the funder within the charity, ensuring their perspective shapes our project design, monitoring, and communications. The Senior Grants Manager will take a leading role in delivering The Childhood Trust’s new grant-making strategy.
