The main purpose of this role is is to deliver day-to-day facilities and conference/event services. You will be assisting in the building maintenance and support of general facilities requirements. This will include supporting the Events@no6 commercial team and clients in set up and ‘in meeting’ delivery of AV equipment and service. Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. SPANA - The Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad is the global charity for working animals in low-income countries. Since 1923, we have supported the welfare of working animals, including donkeys, horses, camels and elephants, in communities that depend on working animals for water, transport, agriculture and their very survival. Today, we support working animals across 26 countries, through a series of global projects and partnerships.
This role will be a part of the Global Programmes team, working alongside colleagues responsible for Education & Social Behaviour Change Communication, and Programme Quality and Delivery. The succesful candidate will liaise with colleagues in the Global Resources, Global Fundraising, Marketing, and Communication departments, and in support of our colleagues across the majority world. The role will report to the Director of Global Programmes, and directly oversee three Technical Animal Health & Welfare Advisors.
You will be responsible for delivering SPANA’s technical animal health and welfare work, relatedly, against the 2023-2027 SPANA strategy and its key performance indicators. Your work will be supported by a nascent external animal health and welfare advisory panel, as well as that of your direct reports. You will be responsible for representing the organisation in relevant fora, amongst other responsibilities as required.
While we classify this role as hybrid, it's worth noting that the vast majority of your work can be done from the comfort of your own home. Occasional in-person visits to our London office (located in Borough High Street), and all-staff gatherings will be necessary. Our full time hours are 34.5 hours per week and we offer core working hours between 10am and 4pm.

Strategy

About You
Training and Qualifications
Essential
- Qualified Veterinarian MRCVS a minimum of 12 years of veterinary experience.
- Clinical experience in mixed or large animal practice.
Desirable
- Further qualifications in the areas of animal welfare, herd health, surveillance, preventive medicine, epidemiology or One Health is highly desirable
- Further qualifications or proven experience in project management and/or leadership.
Experience
- Experience of working or living in low-income countries
- Experience working in the animal welfare, humanitarian and/or development NGO sector.

The Team:
We are a team of three that sit within the wider Income Generation and Grants directorate. The Compassionate Employers team includes the Compassionate Employers Programme Lead, Corporate Development Manager and the Compassionate Employers Executive.
Working together, we aim to support employers who need our workplace services, ultimately raising funds for hospices throughout the UK.
The Compassionate Employers programme and this role sit within our Corporate Development Team, within Income Generation and Grants. Compassionate Employers is a key part of Hospice UK’s Income Generation strategy.
Our Corporate Development Team works closely within and across the department. The focus in the team is on building partnerships with businesses, through commercial activity, fundraising or strategic support. Current corporate partnerships include several ‘charity of the year’ relationships, conferences and events, sponsorship, cause-related marketing partnerships, a supplier directory and a jobs board. As well as driving positive change for people affected by terminal illness and bereavement in the workplace, Compassionate Employers is an important income generation stream and ‘door-opener’ for Hospice UK.

As Fundraising Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring our supporters receive a positive and rewarding experience, as well as providing administration support for the fundraising team, including assisting on events and campaigns.
We are looking for a motivated, confident individual with strong organisational skills and an impeccable attention to detail, who is passionate about fundraising and our ambition and purpose. The successful applicant will be expected to have a broad understanding of a range of income generation methods and communication styles, and the charity sector.
You will play a key role in attracting, building and managing relationships with a range of supporters including individual donors and fundraisers, community groups, local businesses, and volunteers. From initial enquiries to fundraisers and doners, to taking responsibility for our thanking, you will look after our complete supporter care journey and ensure that the Foundation provides an exceptional experience for our supporters.
You will develop key relationships within the Foundation and Club, providing support to the rest of the Fundraising and Engagement Team as required. Some weekend and evening working will be required as part of the role. Key responsibilities
- Act as main point of contact for supporters and donors, responding to enquiries in a timely manner
- Provide fundraising support to those raising money for the Foundation, including challenge event participants, schools, clubs, and community fundraisers
- Assist in the delivery of matchday activity for the Foundation, primarily through our 50/50 Raffle and other activations that raise funds and awareness of our purpose

As the Fundraising Partnerships Manager you will be responsible for delivering and managing strategic partnerships between corporate partners and the Harlequins Foundation, building strong relationships with a focus on maximising income and raising awareness of the Foundation’s purpose.
The Harlequins Foundation is the charitable arm of the Club, delivering programmes in our communities that primarily support young people to develop the Essential Skills, enabling success on and off the pitch.
This is an incredible opportunity for a corporate fundraising professional with an excellent grasp of working across all aspects of partnership management to make a difference with our impactful organisation. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Engagement and within a small Fundraising team, your focus will be on identifying and securing long-term, strategic partnerships with a variety of organisations as well as building on and maintaining those already in place.
You will develop key relationships within the Foundation and Club’s network of supporters and partners to manage a portfolio of different partnerships, securing donations, sponsorship, volunteers, communication opportunities and fundraising as relevant to each corporate relationship.
