Role Overview:
The Head of Programmes will ensure the implementation of the MH programmes Strategy, which encompasses the implementation of international programme.
The Head of UK Programmes will report to the Director of Programmes and manage the thematic programmes team.
The candidate will have demonstrable experience of successful delivery of international programmes and project management. Ideally will have experience and knowledge of WASH, Food, Health and Livelihood programmes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strategy
- To ensure that the MH programmes strategy and theory of change for MH programmes aligns with and in support MH’s global strategy.
- Carry out regular performance and annual review of programmes based on strategic aims and KPI’s
- Programme Management
- Review proposals of proposed interventions to ensure innovative projects and programmes are designed adhering to sectoral standards, principles in accordance with guideline on humanitarian interventions and best practice
- Overseeing end to end cycle of the programme
- Effectively coordinate and liaise with partners to successfully implement interventions
- Ensure effective M&E arrangements through impact evaluation.
- Ensure the programme is in line with MH policies and procedures
- Ensure the effective use of the internal programme management system
- Ensure all programmes are in line with due diligence, risk procedures

- To ensure effective implementation of projects through progress and financial reporting

Role Overview:
This role is to bridge the gap between the programmes team and the fundraising team. It will entail working closely with the thematic leads and Country Offices (CO) to improve and develop reporting structures throughout our programmes, for the use of internal communications. These structures will ensure that reporting requirements (donor or fundraising) are addressed through the project cycle management and especially at design stage and ensure that feedback reports are circulated in a timely and effective manner. The candidate will also work hand in hand with the fundraising /donor liaison team ensure that all data (pictures, data reports, case studies etc.) are available for campaigns or donors.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure all programme information is available for other departments such as fundraising.
- Develop reporting catalogues for different data (for internal use and for Comms use externally)

As a vital part of the Marketing and Fundraising Team, the post holder will build relationships with the Family Support and Care Team to proactively recruit and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing Rainbows families to help spread the word about the work we do across the East Midlands.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working very closely with the Family Support and Care Team to understand current issues facing our families, the person will provide continuous weekly content (written, video and photo) sourced from families for multi-channel marketing, fundraising, social media, and PR campaigns, as well as supporting fundraising events. They will also create, maintain and update family records on our database detailing how and where families have been involved in helping promote Rainbows.
Based at the Hospice a minimum of one day a week, the post holder will also be required to source, support and train families to talk about Rainbows at fundraising events. The person will be required to accompany families to fundraising events (evenings/weekends) to support the work of Rainbows.
The person will work as the key liaison between Rainbows and Rainbows families, ensuring the best interests of the family and the organisation are protected.
You’ll have proven experience of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds including children with complex care / special needs and their families, and well as strong understanding of safeguarding processes and data protection.
An understanding of marketing campaigns and the use of social media for promotion / marketing purposes is essential, along with the ability to develop and maintain cross team relationships at all levels. You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of developing and working simultaneously on a number of campaigns, liaising and coordinating with various stakeholders.

Background

Role Overview:
1. Finance
- Provide direction and support to the partner offices to develop and implement a financial strategy in line with their organisational strategic aims.
- Work with international partner offices to develop and implement the organisation’s annual budgetary planning. Ensure effective models and tools to enable planning and budget management at all levels.
- Oversee the preparation of the partner offices’ annual budget, monthly management accounts and annual financial accounts.
- Support senior management in creating strategic financial plans for the future through an analysis of the business climate and market trends.

You could be editing a case study video one day, and a video podcast the next. Story telling must be your passion, with the ability to story board and script write being part of your core skills. Your technical skills will be highly polished yet have a desire to learn and develop further. Motion graphic skills are a huge bonus. Colour grading, sound editing and captioning are all second nature to you.
You will also be skilled in using a camera to record new footage, which will require travel across the UK and abroad, so ability to travel is a must. You must also be able to turn archived footage into something new and fresh.
You will have experience in creating video content which is emotive and drive the viewer to take action. Above all, you must be able to work well as part of a team and express your ideas effectively.
Essential: The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Possess a BA [or Equivalent] Qualification in a relevant programme of Study
- Possess the ability to demonstrate current eligibility to work within the United Kingdom
- Be able to either:
- Provide a valid Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate (issued within the last year) when requested by Muslim Hands; OR
- Undertake to provide full cooperation for Muslim Hands to perform a DBS Check at the required level appropriate for this / similar role.
- Demonstrate Muslim Hands’ values and ethics in own working practices, approach and conduct
- Support with other Fundraising activities from time-to-time, committing to partake in live TV-Appeals during our peak periods.
- Undertake any reasonable responsibilities as required by Line Manager
- Promote and adhere to all Muslim Hands Policies, Procedures and Professional Practices

About the Role
In this exciting new post, you will play a pivotal role as a senior leader within the newly formed Funding Strategy Directorate, working closely with the Funding Strategy Director and Senior Management Team to ensure the implementation of the Fund’s vision and ambition.
The Funding Strategy Directorate is a central enabling function that supports the development, innovation and delivery of our funding across all our funding portfolios. This role will lead the Funding Design and Development function, accountable for our grant management system alongside funding controls, policy and practice. With a deep understanding and demonstrable experience of delivering user-centred design approaches and applied strategic thinking you will enable us to deliver excellent services both to our external customers as well as our internal teams.
To be successful in this post you will be passionate about our work and strategy ‘People in the Lead’. You will be an established leader with first class team leadership and coaching skills. You will be adept at setting strategies that drive forward positive change marrying business needs with innovative analysis. You will have experience of designing and delivering a major digital system and be skilled in making complex decisions balancing outcomes with risks.
The team is spread across the UK and you can be based at any of our office locations. When we return to the workplace there will be some travel between offices.

Derbyshire Mind is looking for a well organised, enthusiastic and committed Administrator who enjoys talking to people on the phone and believes in providing excellent customer service to everyone who contacts us.
This key role would suit someone with strong administrative and customer service skills with an interest in mental health, advocacy or working for a charity.
The role will be office based at Kingsway Hospital, Derby with occasional travel across Derbyshire. The role is temporarily based at home however, due to the Coronavirus situation.
You will be inputting data into a database on a daily basis and working alongside a colleague in the same role, you will be the administrative support hub for advocates and managers.
Many of our clients and people who contact Derbyshire Mind are vulnerable people who have a mental health problem, dementia, learning disabilities, or autism. They will have differing support needs and may be distressed, so you will need to have an empathetic, non-judgemental and calm approach.
The purpose of the role is to:-
