The Roundhouse’s 13-person fundraising team has recently increased its ambitious annual target, largely driven by strong performance from the Trusts and Statutory team. Operating within a successful mixed economy model, the charity benefits from a diverse range of income sources – including ticket sales, commercial hires, and an increasingly ambitious programme of grants and philanthropy.

Trusts and statutory funding is a core part of this model. This year’s £600k  Trusts target has almost been met, supported by a strong pipeline, multi-year relationships, and a wide portfolio of fundable work across employability, wellbeing, and diversity. The postholder will also be responsible for Arts Council England reporting.

With programmes closely aligned to youth sector priorities and policy initiatives, this role offers the opportunity to build on solid foundations and contribute to the organisation’s next phase of growth.

As Senior Trusts and Statutory Manager, you will:

• Lead and manage a successful team (Trusts and Statutory Manager and Coordinator), delivering and growing the team’s £600k annual income target
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of trust and statutory prospects by crafting compelling proposals, narratives, and packages of support
• Steward key long-term funder relationships, including Arts Council England, and take responsibility for accurate reporting and statutory funding compliance
• Identify and shape new funding opportunities across a broad portfolio, including youth employability, mental health, creative skills, and inclusion
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Programmes, and Evaluation to ensure projects are designed with purpose, evidence, and impact
• Represent Roundhouse confidently and professionally in meetings with trustees, funders, and senior stakeholders

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Proven success in securing high five- or six-figure grants from trusts, foundations, or statutory funders
• Strong track record of creatively packaging compelling cases for support that align funder interests with organisational priorities
• Experience managing and growing funder relationships with a strategic and entrepreneurial approach
• Experience managing teams (formal or dotted-line) with a collaborative and supportive leadership style
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a skilled storyteller capable of crafting persuasive funding proposals and impactful reports
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders, including board members, funders, and programme leads
• Experience in youth sectors is desirable, as is familiarity with funders such as Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Garfield Weston, and bigger strategic funders
• A strategic thinker with energy, creativity, and autonomy, comfortable working in an environment where innovation and adaptability are essential

Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same

This role requires using your initiative and proactive attitude than reactive.

You will also be working with women who are in trauma and can be in crisis requiring you to be empathetic but aspirational. You will provide advice and support to women who have experienced domestic abuse in a refuge setting, across the three sites.  You will carry out risk and needs assessments, develop support plans and carry out key work with women survivors. You will be expected to work in one of the three Refuges as part of your role

• Support – Induction, Risk Assessments, Domestic Abuse, Mental Health, Benefits, Debt Advice, Move On, maintain accurate recording on Solace case management system and ensure regular reviews are carried out.
• Frontline delivery of support directly to service users
• Repairs Identification/reporting/meeting contractors
• Void inspections, basic void works – i.e. clean/clear, furniture, welcome packs 
• Service Users Arrears & HB Claims and benefits - Identify arrears of concern & raise to Service Manager
• Helping service users understand housing benefits/welfare benefits available to them

• Deliver Clear Outcomes – contractual deliverables or Solace standards

• Support service user to access other community services

About You

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support to victims of domestic and sexual violence.  An in depth understanding of the needs of women and children from a diverse background is essential. 

• You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, and the ability to work with women to help them to understand their needs, risk assess, develop safety plan and support them in linking with other agencies.
• You should have an understanding of the homelessness process, either professionally or personally. 
• You will have a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing and welfare benefits, as well as experience of providing workshops.

Outside of this, you will have excellent administrative and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload.

The Head of Finance holds overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the finance function while serving as an integral member of the Charity’s senior management team. Key duties include full oversight of the general ledger, supervision of both monthly and year-end financial closure, and ensuring compliance with Charity Commission, HMRC regulations, and the FRS 102 Charities SORP.
 
The post holder is responsible for managing the finance team, which currently includes the Assistant Accountant and Finance Officer, supervising daily transactional activities, and maintaining internal controls. The position also involves preparing internal and external financial reports, budgeting, and conducting analysis to inform decision-making within the organisation.

They will also have demonstrable success in scoping new products or services and developing robust business cases. Strong commercial acumen will be a must, alongside a strategic mindset and an entrepreneurial approach. Finally, they will possess excellent analytical, financial modelling and project management skills, as well as being a confident communicator able to influence senior stakeholders and make the case for investment.

What you’ll be doing …

We are looking for a strategic and proactive fundraiser to lead the launch and delivery of a capital campaign to refurbish our Grade II* listed Lecture Theatre at Burlington House - a flagship project to enhance accessibility, sustainability and the visitor experience at the heart of our historic home.

Alongside this, you will support income generation across a range of charitable programmes, including education, outreach and member engagement, helping to grow both restricted and unrestricted income and strengthen the Society’s long-term supporter base.

This is a highly collaborative role focused on delivery. You will lead day-to-day campaign activity, with particular emphasis on individual giving, donor engagement and external communications. You will also play a key role in building the systems, processes and approaches that will underpin future fundraising success, supporting the Society’s wider ambition to grow income and resilience over the next decade.

Overall responsibilities / requirements ...

• Lead the capital fundraising campaign for the refurbishment of our Grade II* listed Lecture Theatre, driving income growth through individual giving, corporate partnerships and trust funding.
• Generate income to support our education and outreach campaigns, working collaboratively with colleagues in education, outreach and communications to engage a broad range of supporters.
• Shape compelling cases for support and deliver segmented donor communications that resonate with different audience groups.
• Strengthen internal fundraising infrastructure by improving systems, processes and reporting, ensuring the Society is well-positioned for future income growth.
• Support the Director of Membership & Development by preparing briefing materials, contributing to proposals, and identifying prospects for large gifts or grants.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and reporting related to campaign activity.
• Liaise with external suppliers, funders and design/marketing support as required.

What we’re looking for …

Essential

• Proven experience in a senior fundraising role, ideally within a charity, cultural or education focused setting.
• Demonstrated success delivering capital appeals and/or public fundraising campaigns.
• Track record of securing donations from individuals, major donors, companies and/or trusts.
• Experience developing and implementing fundraising strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
• Organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of establishing individual giving methods, including regular giving, legacy fundraising and digital channels.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (ideally Dynamics 365).
• Knowledge of fundraising regulation, GDPR and best practice in donor data handling.

Desirable

• Experience working on heritage, science or education-related campaigns.
• Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders, volunteers or boards/committees.
• Member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.

Light Up Learning is a Scottish charity providing bespoke support for high school students. We are dedicated to igniting a love of learning in young people and transforming the nature of education in Scotland.

Our programme aims to address issues of unequal access to education and disengagement in the classroom by creating low-stress, supportive, and playful learning environments for young people who have experienced disadvantage. The Role

As Global Head of Finance, you will lead a small, dedicated international team, overseeing strategic financial planning, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across UK and US entities.

You’ll play a key role on the Fund’s management team, ensuring financial integrity, promoting sustainable growth, and partnering across functions to embed strong financial practices organisation-wide.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role, offering the opportunity to guide long-term financial direction while staying closely connected to day-to-day operations and people.

Duties include, but aren’t limited to:

• Financial planning, reporting and strategy: managing annual budget cycle, produce monthly, quarterly and annual finance reports.
• Compliance, Audit and Risk Management: Oversee annual audits for both US and UK entities, support compliance checks and procurement systems meet organisational and donor requirements.
• Investment, Treasury and External Relations: Monitor and management investment and cash accounts across both the US and UK – optimising returns. Managing external banking, investment and lease negotiations, managing annual vendor negotiations and renewals globally.
• Systems optimisation and process improvement.
• Team leadership: Lead and support the finance team, reviewing outputs, resolving issues to support high performance. Oversee financial training to all budget holders to maintain financial literacy and accountability across the organisation.

Essential experience

The successful candidate will possess blends of technical financial expertise with operational leadership with a continuous commitment to purpose-driven work. You will have:

• Professional financial qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Senior-level finance experience in an international charity or NGO sector.
• Strong familiarity with both UK SORP and US GAAP.
• Proven extensive knowledge of strategic financial leadership.
• Experience supporting grant management and donor reporting.
• A commitment to human rights, social justice, and inclusive workplaces.
• Mindset for process improvement and cross collaboration and partnership.
