Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Carolina Bejarano, Development Manager within ClientEarth's Business Development team. Carolina brings over nine years of experience in the public and international development sector, with a strong track record in securing funding from trusts, foundations, corporate and institutional donors. She has worked with a diverse range of NGOs, supporting programmes focused on humanitarian aid, human rights, and sustainable development. She is based in our London office.

Main Duties

• Undertake prospect research and due diligence to scope potential new funders 
• Draft clear and compelling fundraising materials including cases for support, funding proposals, and concept notes 
• Meet with funder contact points to understand their interests/priorities, present proposals and provide insight to ClientEarth’s work 
• Support the development and improvement of team systems and processes to enable effective and efficient working

Job Overview:

The Accounts Assistant will support the Purchase Ledger Officer with purchase ledger transactions, bank reconciliations and supplier reconciliations as well as ad hoc accounting.  This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a business that positively affects people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchases and payments:

o Log purchase invoices into the finance system, check that documentation is complete and correct.

o Save all back-up and authorisations for purchase invoices in appropriate files and ensure these are well managed and easily navigable.

o Request and reconcile supplier statements.

o Maintain a log of all direct debits and regular payments to ensure that invoices are received and processed in the appropriate accounting period

o Download and distribute credit card statements to holders and process payments on the finance system. Follow up on missing documentation or non-compliance.

o Ensure finance policies are followed for the set up of new suppliers.

o Assist with finance training for new and existing administrative staff.

o Manage and act on queries sent to purchase ledger inbox in a timely and courteous manner.

o Deputise for the Purchase Ledger Clerk as appropriate. In their absence, upload payments on the bank and send out notifications to staff allocated to carry out checks and authorisations.

• Month end support:

o Reconcile bank accounts for the main entity and subsidiaries.

o Check ledgers for missing costs.

• Compliance & Audit:

o Assist with year-end audit, providing supporting documentation to auditors.

• Qualifications:

o AAT Level 3/4 or equivalent professional qualification or qualified by experience

The Role

We are seeking a Finance Officer with a keen eye for detail, and an aptitude for learning new skills, to take on purchase ledger and payroll administration duties in our Finance Department.   You will have either begun on the path of attaining a financial qualification or had some experience in a similar role.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all purchases, payments and returns, including supplier invoices, staff payments (salaries, expenses and advances), project and contractor payments and credit card transactions.  Responsible for project reporting against budget.

Key responsibilities (full responsibilities listed in the application pack):

• Ownership of the purchase ledger system, administering the entire process of invoice receiving, checking, coding, distributing for approval, posting to the accounts software (currently Sage), setting up domestic and international payments for authorisation, and electronic filing of documents.
• Administering all credit card returns including distribution of statements to colleagues, checking and coding returns, collating documents, submitting for line-manager approval, posting to Sage and following up on outstanding items.
• Administering staff and contractors expense claims, advances, returns and funds transfer requests, including checking and coding, submitting for budget-holder approval, arranging payment both domestic and international, and electronic filing of documents.
• Recording project expenditure against budget and drafting project financial returns to meet funder deadlines.

What the job involves

We’re seeking a Website Content Officer to join our Integrated Marketing and Media team. In this role, you’ll take the lead in managing and improving the content on our website, making sure it’s clear, accessible and meets the needs of our diverse audience.

Acting as the ‘voice of the user’, you’ll be responsible for publishing updates via our content management system (CMS), maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and accessibility across the site. You’ll oversee key areas, including the homepage, keeping information accurate, up to date, and easy to navigate.

You’ll work closely with teams across the Prostate Cancer UK to help shape their messages for the web, offering advice, guidance, and training where needed. Day to day, you’ll manage content schedules, review pages to identify improvements, and create or edit content to keep the site fresh and effective. You’ll also use digital analytics tools to monitor performance and suggest ways we can enhance the user experience.

As part of the Digital Marketing and Channels team, you’ll work closely with our email and social media teams to ensure our owned channels are aligned. You’ll lead on the delivery of our regular ‘News and Views’ articles in conjunction with our Strategic Communications team, and you’ll work closely with our Web Operations team to help identify and test new website features and fix technical issues.

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in writing, editing, and proofreading web content to serve a specific audience. You'll be skilled in using content management systems (ideally Umbraco) to build and update web pages.

A good understanding of interpreting website analytics, including experience with Google Analytics and search engine optimisation techniques, is essential. Role Summary

An exciting opportunity to join Into Film and lead on the production of all audio-visual content for the UK’s foremost film education charity. Overseeing an in-house production team of six, the Production Lead will work closely with colleagues from across the organisation to identify, develop and deliver an exciting and wide range of content for classroom resources, social media channels and the Into Film website.

The role is initially available for a fixed term through to 31st March 2026, but may become permanent pending continuation of funding.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Joint Heads of Programme and Head of Marcomms to identify audio visual requirements in support of the Into Film strategy, including income generation. 
• Lead on planning and allocation of work for a team of six, supporting on and leading projects as required.
• Oversee departmental production budget, and budget from commissioning departments, ensuring that expenditure is planned, tracked and evaluated. 
• Plan for and manage freelancers in support of production activity as required.
• Manage Production Team, identifying where support, training and development are required to ensure a flexible approach to producing a diverse range of audio-visual content. 
• Ensure that statutory regulations in the provision of film and media content are complied with (safeguarding and child protection, GDPR etc.). 
• Ensure that all audio-visual content is legally compliant and rights are cleared for use on specified channels. 
• Oversee production on key projects including the Into Film Festival and the Into Film Awards. 
• Ensure that Into Film audio-visual content reflects the diversity of its audiences, including teachers, young people and children from under-represented backgrounds and communities. 
• Any other reasonable duties assigned by Into Film.

General Responsibilities:

• Commitment to quality internally and in all dealings with Into Film’s stakeholders including teachers, children and young people, industry partners, funders, supporters, parents and carers, and members of the public.

Person Specification:

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of two years’ experience of team management in a fast-moving production environment. 
• Experience of audio-visual content production and post-production, including for social media.
• Extensive experience of working successfully and collaboratively with senior colleagues from across an organisation to plan and produce audio-visual content.
• Experience of managing individual project and departmental budgets. 
• Good working knowledge of rights and compliance issues in relation to audio visual production. 
• Confident, creative judgement, including experience of feeding back on briefs, scripts and edits, and taking responsibility for project sign-off and delivery. 

Desirable:

• Experience of producing audio-visual content for an education and/or youth audience.
• Experience of editing audio-visual content using Premiere Pro.

Redemption Roasters Barista Trainer

Role summary:

To deliver barista training courses in HMP High Down and HMP Downview. The goal of the training is to prepare residents for employment in hospitality on release.

Overview:
Redemption Roasters is looking to appoint a skilled and passionate barista to deliver training courses in HMP High Down and HMP Downview.  Both prisons are located in Sutton. The training will be delivered to small groups of prison residents who are looking to learn a new skill and are interested in a career in hospitality on release. The successful applicant will be offered comprehensive on-boarding training, with opportunities to shadow experienced trainers.

Duties:

• Deliver a tried and tested Redemption Roasters barista training course, including espresso preparation, milk steaming technique and pouring, alternative brewing methods, cleaning equipment, and basic grinder and machine maintenance. 
• Liaise with prison staff, including the Prison Employment Lead and Activities Manager, to ensure courses are well-attended.
• Act as a positive role model for course participants and encourage participants to grow outside of their comfort zones whilst respecting professional boundaries.
• Conduct basic assessments during the course, coordinate the completion of feedback forms, and track learner journeys, in line with the guidance given by the prisons.
• Provide one-to-one support to facilitate sustainable employment for interested participants on their release. 
• Deliver additional training to participants as is required; this would typically be in Redemption Roasters 13 coffee shops. 
• Other ad-hoc tasks to support the smooth running of the programme in HMP High Down, HMP Downview and wider success of the Impact team at Redemption Roasters. 

Schedule:

• On joining the team, the Barista Trainer will complete a minimum of three-weeks of on-boarding training. This will include an induction to HMP High Down and HMP Downview and shadowing experienced Redemption Roasters trainers in a prison environment.
• During a 12 month period, the Barista Trainer will deliver 7 three-week courses in HMP High Down and 6 one week courses in HMP Downview. 
• During training delivery weeks, the Barista Trainer will typically be based in prison Monday - Thursday (with the Trainer arriving at the prison for 8am), with Fridays in the Redemption Roasters HQ in Kings X, London. 
• During non-delivery weeks, the Barista Trainer will visit the prisons to support course recruitment (usually one day a week), as well as delivering one-to-one support and ‘top up’ training to participants working across the Redemption Roasters coffee shops.

Personal specification:

Essential

• 2+ years' experience as a barista and/or barista training
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Empathetic and kind, with a strong belief in the Redemption Roasters mission 

Desirable

• SCA Certifications
• Experience working with vulnerable people 
• Experience in managing sensitive personal data

Terms & Benefits

• Permanent contract, 40 hours per week.
