Job Description

Delivering the philanthropy plan​

• Manage the philanthropy programme at Bookmark, working with the Head of Fundraising to grow the major donor portfolio within the wider strategy​
• Lead a team of three to deliver on the fundraising strategy, providing direction, support and guidance. Line manage the Philanthropy Manager and support their professional development ​
• Work with trustees, staff, and our wonderfully supportive Partnerships Board to build a robust pipeline of supporters and secure introductions ​
• Own and build a portfolio of new major donors through the full donor cycle who give £25,000 or more, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey​
• Lead on the philanthropy events strategy and programme, providing support to the Philanthropy Manager and wider team in delivering income generating, cultivation and stewardship events ​
• Create compelling, relevant and tailored funding proposals, reports and collateral to inspire and inform donors, reflecting Bookmark’s strong brand​

Person specification​

Essential​

• A successful track record in high value fundraising and acquisition, including a proven track record of securing five or six-figure gifts, to meet or exceed targets​
• Experience line managing individuals, nurturing their development and managing their performance to achieve results​
• Excellent understanding of complex relationship-based fundraising from high-net worth individuals and/or grant making organisations​
• Experience developing and managing a calendar of successful charity events that meet fundraising targets​
• Great verbal communication skills, a passion for presenting and public speaking​
• Experience managing or working with a fundraising board or high value committee​
• You will have the skills to influence, motivate and persuade people to donate​

As Digital Marketing Analyst you will lead on providing key insights and optimisations, tracking user journeys and measuring the impact of fundraising and campaigning activity.

You will also help to lead on best practice for digital analytics, maintaining and leveraging analytics tools, processes, and reporting on Crisis’ digital channels.

About you 

As our in-house digital analytics expert, we are looking for someone with a proven track record of providing data-driven insights, analysis and recommendations to help continuously improve the performance of digital channels and campaigns. You will be skilled at communicating complex ideas simply and effectively and making recommendations to colleagues across the charity. 

You will be proficient in various analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics 4 and Bing Analytics), and email and social media tracking tools, with experience in drafting clear, concise reports and in providing considered recommendations based on your insights.

You will also be confident using Google Data Studio/Looker, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar and various SEO tools. You will have a sound working knowledge of cookie compliance and take on the role of team lead for ensuring GDPR compliance and organisational confidence across paid media plans.

Are you considering entering a career in law, having a strong passion for social justice? We are recruiting a Legal Assistant to provide administrative and legal support to PILC’s Gypsy and Traveller Legal Advice project which aims to defend and promote the rights of gypsies and travellers to pursue a nomadic way of life. You will assist our Supervising Solicitor, an expert in gypsy and traveller law, who has represented this underprivileged community over the last 15 years. As well as working on client files, you will liaise with the Legal Aid Agency to ensure their cases receive public funding, making sure documentation is prepared for court hearings, and arranging for experts and other participants to take part in proceedings.  

Ideally you will be available to join us from the beginning of September to benefit from a full introduction by the incumbent.
