About the role and the London Adult Service:

The London Adult Service is a transformational service which aims to provide end-to-end support and casework to victims and witnesses of crime in London. The service is funded by the Mayor's Office for Police and Crime (MOPAC) and is a key part of the London criminal justice landscape. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting our external interface with our stakeholders. The role will be home-based, but attendance at our London office may sometimes be required for meetings.

As a Digital Engagement and Partnerships Manager you'll:

• Promote the London adult digital services to encourage referrals into the service.
• Oversee the implementation of key digital initiatives, working with partners to ensure a joined up user journey.
• Work with key stakeholders to encourage feedback and continuous improvement of the service.
• Manage the digital elements of the service ensuring operational teams are provided with assistance, for example with developing webinars and online group activities.

This role takes a matrix approach, reporting to the Head of Digital within the Communications and Digital team and also to staff within the London Adult Service.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Has experience developing content for websites, social media and webinars.
• Has experience planning and implementing strategies for improving user experience for digital services.

Location: Home based with frequent travel to projects in Hucknall, Broxtowe-Aspley, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Mansfield and soon to be opening in Leicester in 2024.​​

As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate FoodCycle meals for your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run their own community meals using surplus food. You will manage local relationships with venues, community partners, supermarkets and volunteer recruitment channels to enable this to happen. You will continually be looking to increase our impact by working towards targets of increased meals served to our guests, expanding our existing Projects and setting up new ones within East Midlands.​

An excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each Project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy. You will have experience of recruiting and managing volunteers, as well as programme development and delivery.​

This role will require some attendance at our Community Meals projects, to support with delivery as necessary, which will include evening and weekend work. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this exciting role.​

We are seeking a passionate, dynamic individual to take on the role of Garden Community Hub Coordinator for our site in Tooting.

The role will involve supporting our garden move and coordinating the development of our site and provision in our new space. This will include working closely with the team to develop new projects delivered from the site and coordinating the transition of our operations. You will also oversee the growth and development of the Share Garden Centre, our customer-facing enterprise, enabling it to flourish. In managing the Garden Centre, you will ensure that it provides excellent training and work experience for our students as well as being the plant centre of choice for local people.

You will work closely with our Lead Horticulture Trainer and Head of Training to support the delivery of training and therapeutic activities in the garden. You will report into the Head of Volunteering and Community Services to ensure the smooth transition of the site activities into our new temporary building as well as planning our operations ahead of the move to our permanent new space. You will line manage our Project Support Worker and Cleaner, work closely with the garden team and across departments to develop and deliver our provision for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. You will ensure the space, activities and provision is a welcoming, supportive and safe environment for students, external members, and volunteers. The Assessment, Advocacy & Advice Lead will provide frontline services to people diagnosed with HIV in Lewisham, Southwark and Lambeth as part of the Bridges partnership and South West London and Wandsworth HIV Support project. These services include assessment, emotional support and advice and advocacy for issues such as housing, welfare benefits, debt, dealing with HIV stigma or HIV treatment adherence. The Lead will facilitate signposting and referral into other support services including counselling, peer support and immigration services.

Programme

As part of Bridges programme, South West London HIV Partnership and Wandsworth HIV Support project, these services support new and previously diagnosed service users as well as family members/or carers who live in the same household. The programme will support people living with HIV and improve their health and well-being through the provision of services, delivered both face-to-face and virtually where appropriate.

Main purpose of role 

The Programmes Administrator will be in charge of the smooth running of 1MM Mentoring Programmes in London, including the supporting of mentors & mentees through their journey. By ensuring a fast and effective onboarding process, timely communication, and ongoing support for our participants the Programmes Administrator will assist the Regional Manager with maximising the positive impact of 1MM’s mentoring programmes. This role reports to the Head of Delivery.

This is a varied and integral role providing administrative support to Arthritis Action’s Finance, Executive Management, Services Teams and Trustees, working under the supervision of the Operations Manager.  

Your role will provide day to day operational assistance in our London office including: meeting and diary management, writing minutes and providing admin support across the Charity. Liaison with the landlord and office suppliers, assist with finance including processing direct debits, staff credit cards and supplier invoices and compiling monthly reports. You will also be the first port of call for incoming calls and manage incoming/outgoing post and IT administration.

Key Responsibilities – the role will include but not be restricted to:

• Providing admin support to the Finance, Executive Management and Services Teams
• Ensuring smooth running of the office and troubleshooting issues that arise

Office & Executive Admin

• Support CEO with scheduling meetings, database entries and diary management
• Support with administration of Committee & Trustee meetings, and writing minutes
• Provide admin support for the Executive Management Team
• Responsible for premises troubleshooting, arranging minor repairs, cleaners, and refurbishment
• Liaise with landlord and office contacts where necessary
• Deal with incoming and external post and franking machine.
• IT administration

Finance

• Process staff credit card transactions
• Set up and process all direct debits and reconcile with monthly reports from the Direct Debit supplier
• Upload invoices, donations and other transactions, and file supplier invoices
• Other ad hoc finance tasks

Services & Team Support

• Be the first point of contact for incoming telephone calls to Arthritis Action
• Organise monthly team meetings and write the minutes
• Respond to research requests

Refugee Council – Philanthropy Manager 

Location: Home working / Stratford, London (hybrid of home working and 1-2 days per week in Stratford Office)

Refugee Council is seeking an experienced philanthropy specialist to develop and grow the Refugee Council’s Philanthropy relationships and programme and deliver an ambitious Philanthropy strategy.

Refugee Council is a leading charity supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives in safety here in the UK.  Providing practical, hands on support, their award winning services include welcoming refugees into local communities across the country, providing specialist children’s services – with a particular focus on refugee children who arrive here alone, helping people to navigate the asylum system, and supporting people to access housing and employment.  Evidence from services is then used to also inform the charity’s leading policy and influencing work, including campaigning for a fairer and kinder refugee protection system.  The charity works with more than 14,000 men, women and children every year.

As a result of growing need and increasing interest in Refugee Council’s work, the charity has ambitious plans to make a leap in impact, with investment in their Philanthropy Team to raise increased funds from key high value audiences.

This role will be a critical part of the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team and presents an exciting opportunity to grow Refugee Council’s established Philanthropy programme. The role will be responsible for delivering and creating bespoke development plans, supported by engaging cultivation and stewardship activities to secure increased funding from existing and new donors. It will also be a key point of contact for key Major Donors and high-profile supporters, patrons and ambassadors.

The position offers the opportunity to work alongside an engaged and well-connected Senior Management Team, supported by the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships and a highly regarded and experienced Philanthropy Consultant to make the charity’s ambitions a reality.

To succeed, candidates will have experience of running a Philanthropy/major giving programme, with extensive experience of managing their own pool of donors, as well as a track record of securing five and six figure donations from high net-worth individuals. You will have extensive knowledge of the Major Donor landscape and your fundraising skills will be matched by your strategic planning and leadership abilities.
