Training on MPS and related conditions will be provided to help you develop a good understanding of MPS and related conditions, and the needs of those affected by these progressive, life-limiting conditions.

This is an essential car user post. The applicant must hold a current UK driver’s licence, with no more than 6 points, have access to a car and be able and willing to drive UK wide as required.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in our Amersham office each week. As part of the role, UK wide travel is necessary. which may on occasion include early morning and/or evening working and sometimes overnight stays.  You may also occasionally be required to attend evening or weekend conferences and events. As the Head of Engagement and Communications, you’ll support the Executive Director in leading AMOSSHE as a senior leader. You’ll also act as the Deputy Director, contributing to operational management, strategic development and stepping in for the Executive Director as needed. You’ll have line management responsibilities for members of the team. As well, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering impactful communications strategies that drive member engagement, promote AMOSSHE’s events and initiatives, and elevate the organisation’s profile.

Head of Programmes is a key role with significant scope to grow as the charity evolves. High Trees Community Development Trust is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Community Action to join our senior management team and lead one of our core service areas.

This is an exciting and important role within our work, continually shaped by the needs and priorities of the communities we work alongside. While the focus of our Community Action service evolves year on year, it always centres on social action, capacity building, and strengthening community voice.

The Head of Therapeutic Support will provide strategic clinical leadership to TLG’s mission, driving forward our 10-year vision to bring fullness of life for every child, no matter what struggles they face. This pioneering role will shape therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches across the organisation, ensuring consistent, high-quality practice in both existing and new programmes. With deep clinical experience across multiple sectors, the successful candidate will develop scalable, innovative concepts that balance speed, safety, and effectiveness.

As a member of the Wider Leadership Team, reporting to the Director of Programmes, the Head of Therapeutic Support will influence strategy at the highest level, inspire confidence among church partners, statutory agencies, professionals, and other stakeholders, and manage clinical risk across TLG’s community-based services. They will be the authoritative voice on the way TLG works with children and families, ensuring strong ownership and impact throughout the organisation.

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Services and Branch Finance Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Resources, you will oversee financial compliance, business support services, and operational governance across our homing network.

This multifaceted role blends financial expertise, business services leadership, and compliance oversight, including Health & Safety, HR administration, procurement, fleet management, and facilities. You will be key in ensuring strong financial controls and supporting strategic decisions to enhance the impact of our charity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage branch financial compliance, ensuring timely, accurate reporting aligned with Trust policies.

• Lead financial modelling and analysis to support new and ongoing branch activities.

• Oversee business support services including HR administration, insurance, data protection, and facilities management.

• Manage procurement and contract arrangements to secure best value and service quality.

• Provide strategic oversight of Health & Safety compliance, working with partners and branch teams.

• Lead fleet management, ensuring compliance, maintenance, and cost-effectiveness.

• Maintain financial policies, support investigations into irregularities, and embed robust governance frameworks.

• Prepare and present financial and operational reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with strong management accounting skills; part-qualified candidates considered.

• Charity financial management experience, including understanding of Charity SORP and subsidiary reporting.

• Proven track record managing business services functions, Health & Safety, and procurement.

• Experience with fleet oversight and compliance management.

• Strong analytical skills, including financial modelling and forecasting.

• Excellent communicator, able to simplify complex financial and compliance issues for non-specialists.

• Proficient with financial software, MS Office, and IT systems.

About the Role

The Management Accountant will work closely with the Head of Finance to enhance financial services and provide supportive management accounting at Solace. You will work alongside the Assistant Management Accountants to produce accurate and timely internal and external financial reports. 

The Management Accountant will have line management responsibilities for the two Assistant Management Accountants.

In this role, you will prepare monthly income and expenditure reports for more complex allocated projects and the organisation as a whole, the monthly cashflow, funder reports and lead on the preparation of the budget and half yearly forecasting. You will ensure that management accounts are produced within established deadlines with commentary of financial reporting variances. You you will meet regularly with budget holders and be able to explain the accounts to non-finance colleagues. Provide project terms and financial information to the Director of Finance and Business Support and Head of Finance.

As part of your support to our business development plans you will provide fast responses to requests for support for pricing of new bids, grant applications, tenders and provision of other relevant financial information.

As part of the annual statutory reporting you will assist and support in the preparation of the year-end close and audit.

At all times you will support the Head of Finance to develop a business partnering approach between Finance and the widder organisation.

About You

The successful candidate will be a nearly or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CCAB) or qualified by experience and desirably with knowledge of charity SORP reporting requirements, with charity experience on multi projects accounting.

Able to produce accurate reporting on timely manner and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Strong team player as well as working independently. Can work with non-finance budget holders with clear communication skills. Have strong knowledge of Excel and of working with finance systems.
