About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Service Manager to lead our Healthier Lifestyle team which includes a team of 3 part time Project Officers,  2 x Dementia Project officer 1 x Dementia Carers Group Support Adviser and a great team of volunteers.

Addressing health inequalities and fulfilling our mission means that the Healthier Lifestyles service has opportunity to grow and expand.  We want to reach younger older people to encourage “Act Now Age Well” . An important element of this role will be looking for opportunities to develop existing services and introduce a new services including some paid services.  The Healthier Lifestyles Manager is a member of the Integrated Leadership team to support our One Organisation One team ethos for integrated working and holistic support for the older residents of Croydon.

Some duties will include (but are not limited to) –

1. Monitor and manage workload, organise schedules, ensuring that work is purposeful, targets are clear and support staff to reach their potential and feel valued.
2. Support staff with regular supervision using the Age UK Croydon Empowerment Striving for Excellence, Innovation process
3. Recruit and manage staff in line with Age UK Croydon's policies and guarantee that efficient and effective procedures are in place.
4. Oversee recruitment and support for volunteers across the service.
5. Carry out regular supervision and appraisals and provide encouragement and support for staff including encouraging skills development and progression

The Finance Manager will support the Head of Finance and work closely with the Finance Officer to deliver an efficient and robust financial service for The Photographers’ Gallery (TPG) and its trading subsidiary. A pivotal role within a small but impactful team, the Finance Manager will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, strengthen financial processes and controls, and contribute to strategic decision-making across the organisation.

A summary of key duties is as below:

• Oversee all day-to-day finance operations, including bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, reconciliations, purchase and sales ledgers.
• Prepare quarterly management accounts, budgets, and cashflow reports in collaboration with the Head of Finance.
• Support in the preparation of the annual accounts and liaise directly with auditors.
• Ensure compliance with charity accounting standards (SORP), HMRC, VAT and pension requirements.
• Maintain effective financial systems and controls, working with senior staff to ensure best practice across the organisation.
• Work closely with budget holders to monitor financial performance and support effective decision making.
• Contribute to wider organisational initiatives, including digital transformation of finance processes and cross-departmental working groups.

About You

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (part-qualified considered) or significant relevant finance experience.
• Experience in financial management and bookkeeping, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
• Strong technical skills, including use of accounting systems, Excel, and financial reporting.
• Excellent organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across a range of stakeholders.
• An interest in the arts, culture, and working in a values-driven environment.

We are looking for a Boarding Schools Bursary Manager to join our team. The postholder will have responsibility for leading and developing the Boarding Schools Bursary programme in partnership with Royal SpringBoard and will be the principal point of contact for IntoUniversity centres, the bursary students and their families, the boarding schools and Royal SpringBoard.

What will my main duties be?

Programme Management

• To oversee the IntoUniversity Boarding School Bursary Programme including recruitment of potential students and ongoing support of current boarders.
• To prepare the students and their families for Royal SpringBoard and school assessments as well as reparing for boarding school life. 
• To plan and/or attend boarding school taster and pastoral visits across the UK. 
• To create a calendar of out-of-boarding events and support for students and families to connect to their local centre, including centre visits and community hubs. 
• Work with the Safeguarding Team to promote the wellbeing of students and respond to safeguarding concerns (additional training will be provided for this aspect of the role). 
• Encourage post-18 alumni to engage with the Royal SpringBoard alumni programmes and the IntoUniversity Student Associate Network
• Ensure Salesforce database records and monitoring requirements are kept up to date. 

Stakeholder Management

• Manage the relationship with Royal Springboard, including reporting on KPIs and maintaining communication.
• To build strong relationships and liaise with the host boarding schools and the key staff members such as Houseparents.
• To provide support to parents/carers as needed and manage any issues that may arise sensitively, mediating between the boarding schools, parents/carers and students as necessary.

ROLE PURPOSE:

This dynamic role presents a unique opportunity to build upon the procurement progress achieved so far and to help establish robust procurement foundations across the organisation, following the implementation of a new ERP system. Some key projects for this role over the next 12 months will be:

• Contribute to the development, testing, training, and successful deployment of the new ERP Procurement App.

The successful Procurement Manager will be strategic, decisive and collaborative with an eye for opportunity and influence. Worldwide Veterinary Service is searching for an experienced manager to support the growth of our global education programme.

 This is an ideal role for an experienced project manager who wants to make lasting improvements to the lives of children and animals around the world.

Reporting to the Head of Education at global animal welfare charity, Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS), you will help grow and develop education programmes that protect children from key zoonotic disease and improve the relationship between animals and people.

One child dies from rabies every 10 minutes. Most victims are under the age of 15. Rabies is 100% fatal, but entirely vaccine preventable. Children just need the right information to protect themselves. WVS established Mission Rabies, a campaign that aims to eliminate rabies for good, in 2013. We have worked hard to reach 9.6 million children worldwide, but around half of the world’s 2 billion children at this age still live in rabies endemic countries. You will manage national education managers based across Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America to spread our core messages to a wider audience. This is essential if we are to deliver our goal to halve the number of people dying from rabies in the next 5 years.

We are looking for somebody who is proactive, driven and has a history of making things happen. The ideal candidate will have a results-oriented mindset, be comfortable working with ambiguity and adaptable to change. At Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) we champion animal welfare around the world. We send vets where they are needed most, provide expert veterinary training in hard-to-reach places, and ship urgent aid supplies worldwide, every day of the year.

We deploy teams of vets and vet nurses, send equipment and supplies to help struggling organisations on the front line of animal welfare, and train vets at our international training centres in India, Thailand, Malawi and the Galápagos Islands.  We also work on strategic one health projects such as rabies elimination campaigns with Governments and NGOs all over the world.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

•  Support with the development of our education and behaviour change campaigns in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
