The Head of Corporate Development will create and implement a Corporate Fundraising strategy to secure, grow and sustain partnerships with the corporate sector that deliver income and impact. This role will inspire a team of 12 to generate c. £6m each year from partnerships and will help diversify an already strong portfolio of partnerships. Reporting to the Associate Director of Development, this role will act as the senior leadership contact across the Corporate Development team's highest-level accounts and will also be responsible for leading the organisation's Corporate Development Board.
This role requires an ability to hold a senior position within a fast-paced and dynamic team of twelve, and the selected candidate will have extensive corporate partnerships experience with demonstrable success of generating six and seven figure partnerships. You will have an in-depth knowledge of the corporate fundraising landscape and will have evidence of an entrepreneurial approach to forming new corporate partnership propositions.

They will lead a team of two, directing prospect research for maximum strategic benefit and identifying novel ways of approaching potential prospects. The new Head of PDO will also lead the department’s database operations (CRM Raiser’s Edge NXT), turning vital data into useful information, including specialist financial reports. They will improve usage of the database, manipulating it and customising it to a high level. The post-holder will have the opportunity to make a transformative difference to UAL’s development infrastructure, in advance of the University’s upcoming fundraising campaign.

Sitting within the organisation’s Fundraising and Communications directorate, you’ll have overall responsibility for the department’s database and insight function – line managing two people (aDatabase Officer and a Database Assistant.
In this integral role, you’ll be working with your team to maintain an accurate, consistent and reliable dataset covering all areas of fundraising and engagement on our CRM – Raiser’s Edge. You’ll be responsible for making sure data is stored safely and compliantly, and that good data hygiene rules are in place. You’ll also be supporting and upskilling the Fundraising and Communications department to use the database properly, empowering them to get the information they need.

This role is part of the Global Fundraising Team of over 50 staff. You will be responsible for planning and managing a digital fundraising portfolio including paid and organic advertising, Shop and eCommerce products, and Community and Events fundraising.

The Candidate
Track record of working on successful digital marketing, campaigns and communications ideally in a charity setting.
Experience of delivering digital marketing strategy and campaign management for lead generation, acquisition and retention that is audience-centric, rooted in insight and target driven.
Experience of working across a range of digital channels including paid and organic social media, Google Ads , web and email.
Hands-on experience of working with digital production, service providers and platforms to identify and deliver best-in-class digital solutions.
Experience of digital and data reporting and analysis, with track-record of acting on insights to achieve KPls and income targets.
