About the role

As our Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in sustaining and expanding the services that make a real difference to people severely affected by mental illness. • Leading the end‑to‑end development of bids, retenders, and proposals in line with internal quality standards.

• Developing early-stage budget models and working with Finance and HR to finalise financials ahead of submission.
• Generating insight through data, evidence, and internal expertise to create winning proposals.

• Supporting successful bids through structured handovers and mobilisation.
• Contributing to continuous improvement through feedback, learning, and maintaining our Bid Library.

Working alongside the Senior Partnerships Manager, you will develop relationships with academy chains, local authorities and other charities, and represent the charity at conferences and events to grow awareness of our work.

The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales is looking for an experienced Financial Manager to lead our finance function covering the charity and trading subsidiary.  You will join the Senior Management Team working together to ensure strong and coordinated operational management across the charity. The role is accountable to the CEO and the Finance Committee for all aspects of the organisation’s finances, for ensuring that all income and expenditure are managed and monitored systematically, prudently and legally. Innovation and Development 

As we continue our exciting growth plans to deliver on our ambitious goals and refreshed strategy at Fair4All Finance, following additional funding from the Dormant Assets Scheme, we are seeking an Associate Director Commercial to join our Innovation and Development Team.

The role involves delivering a portfolio of work which includes completing, negotiating and managing innovative product pilots with commercial and mainstream financial providers, Fintech providers and not for profit community lenders; supporting programmes and transactions on our technology workstream; considering ad hoc strategic opportunities for market interventions and transformations.

Role Purpose:

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team working to make the financial services sector fairer for everyone. Millions of people are unable to access the mainstream products and services that meet their financial needs and have to choose between going without essentials or turning to high-cost credit or illegal money lenders. Without safety nets like credit, insurance or savings, everyday life events or financial shocks can tip people into increasingly vulnerable circumstances.

One of Fair4All Finance’s key strategic priorities, and a focus of the Innovation and Development team, is to transform the market, to test and deliver the right products to all customers who need them including dramatically improving access to credit, insurance and resilience products by attracting new entrants, scaling existing providers and supporting mainstream providers to diversify their offerings.

A key part of our strategy is to test and scale product propositions, working in partnership with providers, and, where successful, to scale these propositions up for long term success. We do this by codesigning propositions that work for the customer, commercial arrangements that work for the provider, societal outcomes that deliver for the funders and stakeholders.

The Associate Director – Commercial will lead on the commercial lifecycle of proposition tests, meeting potential partners and developing a pipeline of opportunities through to procurement (where appropriate) or running a transparent competition via a subsidy scheme, bid assessment, contract negotiation with significant providers of lending, insurance and savings products. You will work with those providers to oversee the successful setup and delivery including building in how we measure the success of the pilot or proposition and evaluate the impact.

Also key to the role is liaising with the Head of Proposition, Design and Development to design end to end products that meet the needs of people in financially vulnerable circumstances. Strong collaboration with other members of the team is also essential to build the evidence base (economic, value for money and societal impact) which you will then build into business cases for long term funding for these propositions, or alternative financial support. You will work flexibly across our portfolio of partnerships and propositions as it develops.

You will also engage with the Investment team to:

• Establish appropriate commercial agreements, investment structures and legal vehicles to safeguard our funding.
• Make clear and evidenced recommendations to our Investment Committee on the case for investment into our product and service pilot propositions.
• Oversee Innovation and Development team input into our ongoing portfolio management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and scale new proposition pilots through commercial partnerships, 60%

oWork with the team to be a key contributor in developing a pipeline of opportunities and potential partners to pilot products and propositions and lead on major market engagement exercises for key programmes of our work.

oLead on the process of selecting and appointing the providers who can deliver tests of those propositions and in setting up the diligence process and contractual arrangements for iterative testing and learning, robust data capture, and for their subsequent scaling if successful 

• Design and structuring of long-term financial instruments and subsidies to enable scale up, 20%

oSupport our work to stimulate new entrants and/or encourage provider pivots by designing appropriate risk and commercial mechanisms. 

oBe responsible for using early and final evaluation evidence to build the business case for the ongoing delivery of the proposition pilots and scaling them up in the future.

• Reporting, monitoring and pilot partner management, 10%

oOversee reporting and monitoring of pilot and proposition work as required supporting appropriate input and commentary into our portfolio management and financial tracking of commitments.

• Financial and procurement management and framework utilisation, 10% 

oWork closely with our procurement team and in house counsel adhering to our commercial frameworks for supply.

oManage suppliers and contracts to ensure the obligations are fulfilled to the appropriate quality and timelines.

oWork with the leadership team to set appropriate budgets for work to deliver value for money and oversee financial monitoring of Innovation and Development pilots and projects.

Skills and Experience:

Essential experience and capabilities

• A high tolerance for complexity and ambiguity as well as being a self-starter, with the ability to take commercial arrangements from scoping through to procurement, delivery, learning and evaluation, closure or scaling up.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills including ability to operate in a multi-stakeholder, multi-funder environment and bring clarity to complexity .
• Experience of financial services especially as regards consumer facing propositions and the commercial arrangements in place for their delivery.
• Contract and Supplier Management skills – The ability to work collaboratively with suppliers, being able to iterate and learn within proposition pilot experiences to contribute to improved supplier and outcome performance and utilise, where relevant, contract structures for extensions, variations, transfers, data management.
• Fluency in commercial contractual arrangements and in the management of external counsel and specialist consulting expertise where additional insight is needed. To be highly numerate with a keen understanding of structuring business cases and commercial models.
• Experience working alongside investment professionals to structure arrangements where lending capital is provided to enable the delivery of financial services.
• Highly numerate with a keen understanding of structuring commercial deals to work for all parties.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• People management experience and skills, and the ability and willingness to represent our organisation externally and with senior stakeholders.

Desirable experience and capabilities

The Opportunity:   

The Aspiring Professionals Programme Coordinator (APPC) postholder is responsible for supporting the delivery and development of the Social Mobility Foundation’s programme of activities for young people through their S5-6/sixth form and university years.   
The SMF offers in-person and online support and opportunities, so this role will involve providing virtual and in-person support to students and working with employers across the UK.

Key Responsibility Areas:
1. Project Delivery 

• Deliver key projects including recruiting and onboarding students, creating digital resources and student events  
• Support with programme pilots, scoping (and delivering on) new activity   
• Collaborate and build relationships with our employer partners, schools, and universities to support our young people in their applications for university, internships and graduate roles  
• Deliver on allocated events relating to our programme model (university applications, skill development, work experience and mentoring), presenting content to a high standard and in line with the Social Mobility Foundation messaging

 2. Monitoring and Evaluation  

• Follow established procedures to monitor the progress of your work area, using accurate data to inform decisions
• Maintain accurate records across relevant databases, updating data accurately and in a timely manner  
• Contribute to evaluation for key work areas (residentials, events, internships etc), produce high quality evaluation reports where required.

3. Stakeholder Management

• Communicate to internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
• Proactively update external partners (i.e. employers) on your work areas, flagging risks in a timely manner with relationship managers
• Manage internal student queries and maintain consistent stakeholder (e.g. students) processes through regular communication

4. Activity Delivery  

• Coordinate planning and delivery of skills sessions, partner events, university visits, and other activities, both virtually and in person across the Social Mobility Foundation’s target cities across the UK

• Coordinate and support with the organisation, logistics and delivery of in-person residential programmes for students, including staying on site for day and overnight visits when needed

• Most of our work is office based, but you will spend a lot of time collaborating with other teams and clients via email, telephone and other communications channels such as Teams or Zoom.  
• This role requires you to attend staff residentials for students on our Programme. This means that during the summer period (Jul – Aug) you will be expected to stay overnight on-site (in the UK - exact location to be confirmed closer to the time) for a period of up to two-weeks, help run the residential and be responsible for the welfare of the young people involved.

Travel:

• Some travel, to other offices and other locations, will occasionally be expected. 
• Please note this role may require some travel during our peak delivery period (February-May) which could be up to 4 times per month.
• Travel and accommodation if required will be covered by the SMF.

About you:We are looking for someone with proven experience delivering multi-channel fundraising appeals and growing an individual giving or monthly donor programme. You will be an exceptional copywriter, able to communicate impact with clarity and warmth, and someone who understands the importance of representing young people responsibly and with dignity. 

A confident project manager, you are highly organised and able to juggle multiple deadlines, coordinate stakeholders and keep campaigns on track. You are comfortable using data and insight to optimise performance, and you bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to everything you do.

Salary: Band 3 £27,152.71 - £30,443.60 per annum inclusive

Contract type: Permanent, full-time

About the job role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of People Administrator at St Joseph’s Hospice. This is a vital role in supporting the employee experience and helping deliver on our mission of continuous improvement, innovation, and compassionate care.

You will be responsible for a wide range of administrative duties across recruitment, onboarding, HR systems, records management, and general support. This is a varied role suited to someone highly organised, with a keen eye for detail, and a genuine commitment to providing excellent internal service to our teams.

Contract type: Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Hybrid – up to 1 day from home).

About you

You’ll bring solid admin experience from a busy environment, with a professional, organised approach and great attention to detail. You’re someone who can manage multiple tasks, communicate clearly, and enjoys using and learning new systems and ways of working.

• You’re confident using Microsoft Office and enthusiastic to learn new systems.

This role works with the Church Engagement Manager to create multiple points of connection for UK Churches and church-based volunteers to engage with BMS and with our story of mission. It will create and maintain relationships with churches and key Baptist leaders to help ensure they recognise BMS as an organisation which can take them deeper in their understanding of mission and global transformation.   

For this role, knowledge of BMS’ supporter base, experience of the evangelical aspects of BMS’ mission and full support of its missionary work are crucial. 

We are seeking an individual with the following experience and skills:

• Communication and interpersonal skills: You will be a confident speaker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build meaningful relationships between BMS and leaders across BMS-supporting churches.
• Christian ministry: You have significant insight into the Christian ministry and experience working with churches including Baptist Churches.
• Passion: You have a global vision, a heart for mission, and a passion for the role of the UK church in a growing world church.
• Strategic planning: You are a strategic thinker capable of developing and implementing a plan for our approach to Church engagement and volunteer development.
• Safeguarding knowledge: You have proven knowledge of up-to-date safeguarding processes and their application.

Location: This role can be office-based or hybrid but the role holder must be based in the United Kingdom, with regular UK travels

We are happy to appoint a candidate who lives too far from Didcot to attend the office regularly if they are willing to attend key events such as induction days and team away days (typically 4 times per year). The cost of travel to BMS Didcot whether on a regular basis or infrequently, would be borne by the employee.

We are looking for a thoughtful, resilient, and effective person to lead on both the delivery of SPRING that City of Sanctuary Sheffield is responsible for, and the advocacy associated with that work. 

You will ensure that the SPRING is accessible, trauma-informed, and impactful for the community of new refugees accessing the service. 

You will also make sure that systemic issues faced by the community accessing SPRING are chronicled and highlighted, and that we take collective steps to bring about positive change.

We particularly welcome applications from people who have personal experience of the asylum system and migration. To support all applicants, a preparation session will be offered by the New Beginnings team at Voluntary Action Sheffield.

We are looking for an Advisor to provide quality advice, information and support to students using the Advice Service, including casework and accompanying students to meetings and hearings. As our Homelessness Coordinator - or Welcome and Triage Coordinator - you’ll be the first point of contact for people coming in from the streets. You’ll offer reassurance, complete assessments, and help individuals take their first steps toward stability and safer accommodation. You’ll work closely with outreach teams and partner agencies to make sure no one slips through the net.

This role is about human connection and creating a moment of safety that can change the direction of someone’s life.
