Full-time
Contract (Until December 2028)
Job description

In the UK, more than 14 million people live in poverty. Nearly every household on a low income in Britain pays extra for things that are essential to life, like energy, insurance and credit. This is known as the poverty premium. Fair By Design is dedicated to tackling the poverty premium by campaigning to change the systems and structures that lead to poverty premiums arising.

As Public Affairs Manager, you will lead Fair By Design’s engagement with political stakeholders, regulators, and industry bodies to influence policy and regulatory change. We put people with lived experience at the heart of what we do and strive to leave a legacy where being inclusive in the design of policy, regulation and services is the norm.

This is a full-time fixed term contract of 3 years with the possibility of renewal.

  • Salary: £47,500 - £55,000
  • Generous contributory pension scheme of up to 10%.
  • Hybrid working with an expectation that at least 2 days a week will be office/field-based. The Barrow               Cadbury Trust office is in Vauxhall, London.

Fair By Design is run by the Barrow Cadbury Trust on behalf of a group of foundations. Please note FBD is an advocacy programme and not a grants programme. Barrow Cadbury Trust is an independent, endowed charitable foundation that has been working with others to drive structural change that leads to a just and equal society for more than 100 years.

We have a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and we encourage applications from people with personal experience of the social justice and human rights issues we seek to address. All staff have the right to request flexible working and to have this considered by their manager.

Interviews for short listed candidates will be held on Monday 22nd September at our office at The Foundry, 17 Oval Way, London SE11 5RR.
