This is a new role being introduced within Rotherham Hospice which will provide expert operational leadership and clinical/professional accountability across all elements of the Hospice In-patient Unit. The operational remit of the role includes:

• Daily operational oversight of clinical service provision ensuring business continuity
• Working clinically a minimum of two days each week
• Provision of palliative & non-palliative care nursing across the 24/7 period
• Line management and supervision of the Hospice Inpatient Unit clinical team (excluding medical staff)
• Responsibility for all areas of clinical governance and risk management of the service
• Team integration and cross cover for the Head of the Hospice @ Home Team integration and partnership working across the Rotherham Hospice
• Working closely with our clinical and non-clinical teams, patients and loved ones will be responsible for the ongoing development of the Inpatient Unit clinical services.
• These will be aligned to the Hospice strategy, ensuring the needs of the patients and their loved ones are at the centre of the provision of high-quality services that deliver clinical excellence in line with CQC standards. 

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Current active registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).
• First degree in Nursing.
• Palliative care qualification or equiavalent experience.
• Operational experience of service delivery within an Inpatient setting.
• Caring for palliative and end of life patients, families & loved ones.
• Advanced communication skills.
• Experience of leading staff delivering palliative & end of life care and influencing maintenance and improvement of standards.
• Experience of working in partnership with patients, families and loved ones to hear experiential feedback and understand the needs of future service provision.
• Developing and delivering internal and external training packages/programmes.
• Leading and line management of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Working with and supporting volunteers.
• Receiving and providing clinical supervision.

Head of Development – Museums and Gardens

We are looking for a talented fundraiser, with a background in the cultural sector to join the Gardens, Libraries & Museums (GLAM) Team within the Development and Alumni Engagement team of the University of Oxford.

You will be working with such iconic institutions as the Pitt Rivers Museum, the Oxford Botanic Gardens, the History of Science Museum and the Oxford University Museum of Natural History.  In this role in any given week you might see a dodo, extraordinary thousand-year old Chinese ceramics, insects collected by Darwin, the first scientifically described dinosaur and drawings by John Ruskin, as well as work on projects involving saving the largest flower in the world or supporting world-leading restitution work.

The collections are important and renowned on their own accounts, but also play a key role in the University’s research.  In addition, they are the open doors to the University of Oxford, encouraging a diverse range of communities to engage our academics and curators.

Your role will include fundraising for major gifts to support the museums and gardens, and leading a team of fundraisers who will work to support a wide range of activities across the institutions.  You will also work closely with the Directors and other curators to raise funds from a range of donors and supporters. You will work with the Associate Director of Development – GLAM to develop strategies and manage relationships with the Directors and be part of the wider fundraising team for GLAM.

Who are Women’s Aid?

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. For almost 50 years we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse. 

Purpose of the post  

The post holder will oversee the day-to-day development and operational management of Women’s Aid Direct Services and be responsible for leading on service planning, delivery, impact monitoring, quality assurance and evaluation. You will be responsible for managing senior support workers and indirectly, support workers, bank staff and volunteers.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Manager of Direct Services:

• Assist the Head of Services in developing, implementing, and reporting on a strategic and operational plan for the direct services.
• Ensure the development and implementation of effective policies and procedures for all direct services.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of an equality framework and ensure the provision of direct services against agreed standards.

• Experience of direct work with survivors and their children who have experience of domestic violence or other forms of abuse.
• Demonstrable understanding of safeguarding issues and the management of risk.
• Experience of managing staff /volunteers including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management. 
• Knowledge of safeguarding issues relating to working with domestic abuse survivors and children.
• Good working knowledge of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
• Knowledge of the rights and options available to women and their children living with and fleeing domestic violence, including knowledge of relevant legislation. 
• A good understanding of the impact of domestic violence or other forms of violence on women and children.
• Knowledge of refuge provision and the range of services available for survivors and children affected by abuse provided across England and Wales. 
• Ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver high quality services.
• Education to a level that ensures a competent standard of literacy, numeracy, and analysis of complex information

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with London's Air Ambulance Charity, supporting them to recruit a Deputy Head of Philanthropy (Trusts) maternity cover. This role will start at a key time in strategy development and long term planning, as they enter the final phase of their incredibly successful Up Against Time Appeal to replace their two helicopters.

As they enter the final phase of the appeal, having raised £11.5m of their £15m target (with a number of further pledges confirmed) this role will focus on developing the long term Trusts fundraising strategy. As Deputy Head of Philanthropy you will be tasked with considering the opportunities presented by the new 15 year organisational strategy, and contributing to the wider Philanthropy, Partnerships and Events team plans to ensure they have a strong footing as they look to the long term and next 15 years of London's Air Ambulance Charity. 

As Deputy Head of Philanthropy you will not only lead on strategy development but also build and develop the Trusts pipeline, leading and developing the Trusts and Prospect Research teams to improve internal processes and influence/respond to upcoming fundraising opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Trusts and Prospect Research teams and programmes through a year of maternity cover, ensuring both areas are in a strong position on the return of the substantive postholder. 
• Act as LAAC's Trust and Lead Gift (£500k+) fundraising expert, leading the Trusts and Prospect Research teams to be ambitious and consider the long term funding opportunities for the charity. 
• Lead the team through the transition from the Up Against Time Appeal to focus on the new 15 year organisational strategy and opportunities it presents to develop the pipeline for new projects.
• Take ownership of the Trusts, Foundations and Statutory pipeline, leading income generation from these sources with a personal focus on £100k+ opportunities, while informing the organisation's approach to restricted fundraising opportunities.
• Support the development of direct reports and wider Philanthropy, Partnerships and Events team. 

Person Specification:

• Strong sector knowledge and technical expertise of Trust fundraising, with experience of securing £100k+ support from trusts, foundations and/or statutory sources.

About Volunteering Transformation Manager Role:

This role leads the team in the design, testing, delivery and support of new volunteer tools and processes; and inform the improvement of existing ones. To achieve this, they work in close collaboration with other colleagues within and outside the team, as well as in partnership with volunteer leads. The person in this role brings technical expertise in volunteering and champions inclusive design to help us to ensure the experience of volunteering in Scouts is fit for the future and truly enables everyone to join our adventure.

Key responsibilities as our Volunteering Transformation Manager Role include:

• Inspire innovation and lead user centred design to improve the volunteer experience at Scouts.
• Lead, develop and support the Volunteering Transformation staff team to develop and improve the volunteer experience and achieve the agreed project deliverables.
• Act as subject matter expert on volunteering across the organisation, including to inform digital system needs, acting as a product owner.
• Help connect work across the Volunteer Experience Programme and the Volunteering Experience Team to create a unified volunteer experience, supporting the team to identify and resolve dependencies.
• Build and support key volunteer relationships, as well as external relationships across the sector.

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
