As Development Manager for Perth Theatre and Concert Hall you will take the lead role in developing and implementing our fundraising strategy and growing our charitable income across Trusts & Foundations, Individual Giving and Corporate Sponsorship.

A natural people person and confident communicator you will build relationships with key funding partners and donors to identify the most impactful fundraising opportunities and maximise returns.

You will collaborate with departments across the organisation to understand their fundraising needs crafting creative and compelling propositions that support our vision: ensuring everyone in our communities experiences the transformational power of the performing arts. 

Working closely with the Leadership Team, with responsibility for two Development Officers, you will: 

Fundraising Management and Development

• Review the fundraising strategy to achieve the agreed annual fundraising targets;
•  Act as a lead ambassador for fundraising across the organisation;
•  Engage key funding partners and donors to build long-term relationships;
• Identify/manage fundraising campaigns, creating impactful storytelling for supporter engagement;
• Lead high-value fundraising bids nurturing relationships to ensure the best outcomes. 

Individual Giving

• Develop and manage the individual giving schemes and major donor fundraising in support of cultural programmes;
• Implement a legacy giving scheme, working across departments to create support material and identify communication channels;
• Collaborate with the Director and Board to build a major donor pipeline;
• Grow the donor base and average gift size through communications, events, and stewardship;
• Liaise with the Development Officer, Marketing and Box Office, Director and Programming team, and Learning & Engagement to effectively promote and manage individual giving and supporters;
• Maximise Gift Aid income and promote tax-effective giving.

Trusts & Foundations

• Develop and manage PTCH’s Trusts & Foundations pipeline for cultural programming and Learning & Engagement projects;
•  Research/identify a wide range of income sources to increase the number of funders and grant size;
• Oversee the database, maintaining accurate records to plan and prioritise funding applications;
• Work with the Director, Programming,Head of Learning & Engagement and others to devise high-quality applications and cases for support;
• Oversee the preparation of timely, accurate funder reports in collaboration with relevant teams;
• Nurture relationships with Trusts & Foundations contacts. 

Corporate Sponsorship

• Review the sponsorship offering and create a pitch pack for prospective partners;
• Proactively seek company partnerships and increase sponsor numbers and fees;
• Collaborate across departments to identify projects with sponsorship potential.

Person Specification

• Experience in the charity sector, ideally in an arts or cultural environment;
• Team player;
• Outstanding communicator and persuasive storyteller;
• Enthousiastic about new fundraising opportunities and sector trends.

Essential:

• Experience in developing and delivering a fundraising strategy for a similar-sized organisation;
• Proven track record of raising at least £250,000 annually through Trusts & Foundations and individual giving;
• Thorough understanding of the arts fundraising landscape;
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and budget management skills, with the ability to motivate others and deliver against deadlines/targets;
• Experience in developing relationships with partners, major donors and individual supporters;
• Proficiency in accurate fundraising income forecasting ROI assessment.

About You

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the postholder will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager and other fundraising team members to identify major donor prospects, ensuring thorough research and engagement to cultivate relationships and solicit major gifts. The role will also involve interacting with senior church contacts such as Archbishops and diocesan representatives who have a history of support, so whilst the charity is non-religious and non-political, sensitivity within this jurisdiction will be required.

Respite and Care Executives play a significant role in enabling our beneficiaries to continue to be independent for as long as possible and when/if they require formal care, they can support them during this time too. They work closely with the Advocacy Team and the Friendships and Connections team to ensure that all their needs are met.

We are looking for a candidate to cover Maternity Leave for 14 months. They will work alongside the current post holder and the other team members for 2 months to learn the role and take over existing cases. They will form part of the existing Respite, Care and Advocacy Team and work closely with other members of the team as well as other colleagues in the Operations Directorate (mainly Welfare).

An articulate communicator with IT skills suited to working in a paperless environment, you must be able to demonstrate an ability to relate to people of all ages as well as professionals such as external case working organisations, RAF stations, care providers, those who have lasting power of attorney (LPA). You must have an understanding of the social care system and the Mental Capacity Act.

The role is based in our London HQ, with a minimum of three days working in the office per week. The successful candidate for this role will need to be Standard DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

The Role

As Head of Finance & Operations, you will play a pivotal role in leading EFN’s financial, operational, and HR functions, ensuring the organisation continues to thrive and deliver on its ambitious strategy.

Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), you will join the Leadership Team and work closely with the ED and Board of Trustees to ensure sound financial management, operational excellence, and a supportive, effective working culture.

You will:

• Lead on day-to-day financial management, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
• Oversee governance, compliance, and risk management across all areas of operations
• Manage HR, IT, and systems to support our remote-working team
• Drive continuous improvement in policies, processes, and internal systems (including Salesforce and Xero)
• Provide strategic insight and deputise for the ED when required
• Support staff development and wellbeing, ensuring a positive and inclusive organisational culture

About You

We are seeking an experienced and strategic finance and operations leader who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

You will have:

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or AAT)
• At least 7 years’ experience in financial and operational management within the charity sector
• Strong understanding of HR, IT, risk management, and governance in small teams
• Proven experience managing budgets, audits, and charity accounts (Xero experience ideal)
• Excellent project management and strategic planning skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and mentor others
• A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach

The role is a full time and fixed term contract for one year. 

The Cafes Manager will take full responsibility in leading and operating a successful cafes and catering operation, giving our student members an excellent service experience every day, looking to implement our cafes operation with new and innovative ideas led by the Head of Commercial Services. Purpose of the role

The CAPSA (Culturally Appropriate Peer Support and Advocacy) Worker role has been specifically designed to support Black people using the secondary mental health system. As a CAPSA Worker, you will provide both Generic Mental Health Advocacy and Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) to eligible individuals, including people detained under the Mental Health Act(MHA) 1983/2007, conditionally discharged restricted patients, those under Guardianship, and those on Community Treatment orders, as well as individuals considered for section 57 treatments.

You will play a key role in ensuring that the perspectives of Black service users are recognised and respected, addressing their unique and multiple needs, and promoting access to advocacy for all eligible individuals. You will raise awareness of advocacy, rights under the MHA, and the CAPSA service among professionals, individuals, and agencies.

In addition to direct advocacy, you will contribute to service development by supporting an effective administration system and helping evaluate the impact of advocacy for both service users and commissioners.

As part of CAPSA’s race-led approach to systems change, you will also help challenge systemic racism in mental health services, embed culturally competent practice, and promote equitable care within South London and Maudsley NHS Trust (SLaM).

Job summary

Black Thrive Lambeth has developed a co-designed, culturally appropriate peer support and advocacy service (CAPSA) on behalf of the Living Well Network Alliance (LWNA). CAPSA provides support to Black community members with mental health needs through peer support and advocacy, led by individuals with lived experience or lived understanding of mental health challenges. The service creates a space where experiences are respected, accepted, and valued equally.

The role involves building positive relationships with Black service users; offering one-to-one and group advocacy; supporting self-advocacy; gathering and sharing information to inform decision-making; and preparing monitoring reports and feedback. Advocates ensure that the views, wishes, and needs of Black service users are heard and acknowledged, addressing the impact of racism within traditional mental health services.

Duties and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Advocacy & Support for Black Service Users

• Work with individual Black service users to provide culturally informed advocacy, support, and representation to assist them in decision-making related to their care, treatment, and legal status.
• You will manage a caseload of up to 10 clients.
• This will consist of weekly meetings with clients and supporting them around their care in the mental health system, this will be both within inpatient services and CMHTs (Community Mental Health Teams) as well as in the community.
• Support Black service users in developing and maintaining their cultural identity by identifying strengths and advocating for culturally relevant mental health interventions.
• Develop trusting relationships with Black service users within appropriate boundaries to help them express their mental health needs.
• Assist service users in preparing for meetings, attend appointments with them if required, and advocate on their behalf where needed.
• Provide information and updates on the progress of advocacy issues and ensure clients understand proceedings.

Culturally Informed Peer Support & Recovery

• Use lived experience and cultural understanding to promote positive self-esteem and recovery through a culturally informed peer support model.
• Provide practical guidance to Black service users, and where appropriate, their carers, on self-care, resilience strategies, and managing mental health within a race equality framework.
• Promote service user involvement by empowering individuals to communicate their culturally lived experiences and mental health needs to professionals.
• Challenge peer support models, stigma, and discriminatory practices that fail to recognise the cultural needs of Black service users.

Community Engagement & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and community members to develop a culturally informed advocacy and peer support model.
• Establish regular advocacy ‘drop-ins’ on wards and in the community, ensuring accessibility for Black service users.
• Signpost service users to culturally relevant community, inpatient, and online resources, as well as mainstream and specialist services.
• Liaise with, and when necessary, challenge NHS professionals, care teams, and local authorities to ensure due process and cultural competence in service delivery.
• To maintain a level of professionalism in all spaces always.

Job Purpose

This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.

The objectives of the service include:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
• To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)
• To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
• To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation
• To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service
