Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications Delivery

• Deliver and support the implementation of our communications and marketing strategy across all channels (digital and print.

• Lead on a regular calendar of activity across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, BlueSky, YouTube) to maintain and grow a network of online supporters.

• Lead on maintaining and developing content for the Headway East London website (using WordPress and Elementor), including blog posts, service pages and events.

Community & Co-Production

• Work with our members (services users - people with brain injury), volunteers and staff to co-create content that reflects their voices and experiences.
• Ensure accessibility is embedded in all communications, including use of plain English, inclusive visuals, and a variety of formats.
• Engage the wider Headway East London community in developing campaigns, storytelling, and communications planning.

 Campaigns, Partnerships & Income Generation

• Support fundraising and development teams to plan and deliver digital campaigns that increase donations, engagement and awareness.

• Explore opportunities for brand development, partnerships and earned media that align with our values and strategic priorities.

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with local and national media outlets and stakeholders

Internal Communications

• Support internal communication needs across the organisation, helping teams stay informed and connected across multiple sites.

OVERVIEW

This role will be a key member of our ambitious team, delivering a growing portfolio of fundraising campaigns, fundraising events, and supporter engagement initiatives. You’ll oversee our supporter journeys, manage our communications channels, and build meaningful relationships that drive income and deepen our impact.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising Campaigns & Income Generation

• Work with the Head of Fundraising to plan and deliver our 12-month supporter journey – including fundraising campaigns (online and offline), events and appeals.
• Manage our calendar of challenge events (e.g. The Don’s Cycle Challenge, Wombles Walk, Sponsored Skydive).
• Grow supporter-led community fundraising in the local area.
• Lead outreach to engage new local partners – including small businesses, schools and clubs – promoting fundraising opportunities and supporting their initiatives.

Communications & Marketing

• Alongside the Head of Fundraising, lead all communications for the charity.
• Create engaging fundraising content for email, website, and social media to drive online donations, event and programme sign-ups.
• Work with the wider Foundation team and club comms team to create content for social media, e-newsletters and our website.
• Promote Foundation programmes and campaigns to fans, families, and local supporters, driving participation and donations.
• Create marketing materials (posters, flyers, etc.) to support charitable prorammes and campaigns.
• Collaborate with Senior Managers to share the impact of the Foundation through monitoring and evaluation reports. Including creating the annual organsiation Impact Report.
• Manage the Foundation’s website, ensuring content is regularly updated, fully functioning, and aligned with key campaigns, events, and programmes.

​Supporter Engagement & Stewardship

• Manage the supporter engagement programme, delivering a rolling 12-month plan of personalised and meaningful touchpoints.
• Develop and implement strategies to encourage increased giving and recruit new regular donors.
• Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (particularly low- to mid-level donors) through excellent donor care, timely thanking, and compelling communications.
• Coordinate supporter stories and participant case studies to inspire giving.
• Manage our weekly e-communications, using engaging content to recruit new subscribers and convert them into donors, event participants, or programme attendees.

Supporter Care

• Act as the first point of contact for fundraisers and donors, delivering first-class stewardship and support.
• Ensure timely, warm and effective follow-up with all supporters, helping them feel inspired, valued and connected.

Events & Community Activation

• Support the delivery of fundraising and engagement opportunities at AFC Wimbledon fixtures and stadium events.
• Represent the Foundation at local events, cheque presentations, and community partner visits.

Administration & Data Management

• Maintain accurate supporter and income records in our CRM system, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection laws.
• Liaise with the Finance Officer to process donations, including Gift Aid claims and income reconciliation.
• Provide regular fundraising reports and insights for internal and external stakeholders.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

Qualifications & Experience

• Hold a relevant higher education or industry recognised certification or have a minimum of at least 1–2 years' experience in a fundraising, communications, supporter engagement or similar role
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with supporters, partners, or donors
• Experience planning and delivering fundraising campaigns, events, or community initiatives
• Experience using digital tools for fundraising and engagement (e.g. mass email platforms, design tools, giving platforms, CRM systems)
• Experience creating digital content (e.g. website management social media, e-newsletters, case studies)

Job Purpose

The weekend Home & Settle Project Officer is responsible for responding to referrals received over the weekend from both Royal London Hospital & Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. You will work with the manager on Friday to deliver services and plan visits on the weekend for you to attend.

The service supports people returning after a stay in hospital, helping them to settle back at home, regain confidence and support with some practical tasks, e.g. shopping/cleaning.  You will manage referrals, carry out assessments, and in liaison with the manager, allocate service users to Discharge and Settle Worker caseloads. You will provide direct frontline support and co-ordinate visits to the service users’ home in preparation for their return home. You will work collaboratively to lead and manage the weekend service to support the smooth transition from hospital to home for service users.  The service is time limited, up to 4 or 6 weeks, to adjust, build confidence, and settle back in their homes.

Key Tasks

• Act as the first point of contact for all referrals over the weekend across both hospitals.
• Meet with patients in the community and/or hospital and carrying out assessments and risk assessments.
• Enter referrals on to AUKEL’s case management system (currently Charity Log) in accordance with GDPR guidelines.
• Allocate referrals to Discharge and Settle workers (in the week) using tech available (currently the Call Round App), training will be available.
• Collect feedback from service users and upload to case management system.
• Prepare and keep stock of AUKEL Welcome Packs and service leaflets.
• Deputise for the manger at discharge planning and other meetings as required.
• Support hospitals to improve the patient’s experience of the discharge process.
• Monitor the case loads of each of the Discharge and Settle workers (DSW) to ensure they are evenly and fairly balanced.
• Work collaboratively with other agencies providing support services.
• Work with people with a range of needs, dealing with issues ranging from social isolation and keeping people engaged in their community, to preventing unnecessary readmission to hospital.
• Plan and develop person centred interventions to provide short term support for people after hospital discharge.

Administration

• ·Keep AUKEL’s case management system up to date, input all data, and ensure all referrals, interventions, time spent with service users are recorded.
• Allocate referrals to DSW using tech available (currently - Charity Log ‘Call Round’ App).
• Ensure wards have good supply of service leaflets and referral forms.
• Ensure data collected meets the requirements of the service’s contract monitoring and key performance indicators.
• Ensure customer feedback questionnaires are sent at the end of each intervention and record returns.
• Ensure admin tasks relating to service users, Discharge and Settle workers or general admin is carried out in a timely and efficient manner. 
• Provide cover as needed, i.e. annual leave and sickness, for the services you manage, and other hospital settle services provided by AUKEL
• Carry out monitoring of the service ensuring it meets the contractual requirements of commissioners.

Quality

This is a key role within a small and busy finance team. The postholder is responsible for a range of transaction processing and finance administration; mostly focused on purchase ledger, sales ledger, assisting with the month-end process, and plays a vital role in upholding HFEH Mind’s financial controls.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer will also need to communicate effectively with staff across the organisation and a wide range of suppliers to help resolve queries and ensure that the purchase and sales ledger processes are operating efficiently and effectively. Excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise to achieve internal reporting deadlines, and meticulous attention to detail, are critical for this role.
 

Job Description

Purchase and payments

• Ensure all invoices, expenses and credit notes received are processed following the agreed systems and controls.
• Process invoices and expenses into the accounting system.
• Creation of twice weekly and ad-hoc pay runs.
• Process and pay file generated into the bank software.
• Produce and send out remittances.
• Aged creditors review monthly
• Oversee that authorisation processes are being followed by staff.
• Process staff expense claims following the agreed systems and controls.
• Organise and process occasional cash floats and petty cash, ensuring unspent cash is accounted for and all transactions evidenced and recorded.

Card purchases

• Oversee day to day administration of card purchases, ensuring cardholders upload receipts and code transactions by the stated month end deadlines.

• Reconcile transactions to the bank statements

Sales

• Raise sales invoices as requested and per income schedule.
• Sending out sales invoices to customers.

• Posting cash receipts and allocate to the relevant invoice.

Banking

• Reconcile banking on a timely basis
• Post direct debit payments

Inbox management and other queries

• Daily review of new messages received into the finance email inbox from staff, suppliers and other parties, dealing with queries directly where possible.
• Be especially vigilant about phishing, Malware / spam emails which are common in generically named inboxes and following all data protection guidance given.
• For more involved queries, liaise with and assist other finance team members to resolve them appropriately; maintain responsibility for ensuring they are resolved.
• Excellent organisation and administration of both inboxes, to ensure the status of queries is clear at all times and appropriate records are kept on file.

Other regular tasks

• Support the Finance Manager with weekly payroll administration, for example communications with staff members regarding timesheets and new starter information.
• Pay cheques and cash into the bank account, including accurate completion of banking.
• Withdraw cash from the bank as necessary
• Lead on ensuring the digital filing structure is adhered to and support the rest of the team with scanning and filing as needed.
• Lead on the archiving of paper documents stored in the office.

About the Role

As a Caller Support Officer, you will:

• Provide expert advice and guidance on caller support policies and procedures to volunteers and staff.
• Work closely with branches, the Caller Support & Safeguarding Hub, and Central Office to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
• Help manage support for callers with complex mental health needs, ensuring appropriate boundaries and reducing dependency on the service.

What We’re Looking For

• Has experience with working in a helpline setting, to support volunteers to deliver safe and effective emotional support to individuals in distress or with complex emotional/mental health needs, ideally in a helpline setting.

• Is confident managing sensitive and sometimes confrontational situations.
• Can work independently and manage a varied workload effectively.

The Estate Officer will ensure the delivery of the regional maintenance programme, comprising routine, periodic, planned and urgent works, and the delivery of time limited maintenance consultancy and estate management projects. Action for Refugees in Lewisham (AFRIL) is seeking our next Executive Director to lead our small, dynamic charity. You will be joining an impactful local organisation at a crucial time in our development. Since 2021 we have grown significantly and sustainably, developing new services based on client needs. Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Without our care, these buildings might have disappeared entirely. Instead, they are enjoyed as social, tourism, educational and cultural resources, kept open, in use, and living once again in the heart of their communities.

Role Purpose

Responsible for documenting and maintaining up-to-date fundraising income processes, ensuring the accurate and efficient integration of donation data from multiple platforms into the organisation’s CRM (Salesforce). Focus on maintaining current and comprehensive supporter records to optimise engagement and maximise fundraising income. Provide strategic insight through audience analysis and data reporting. Collaborate with colleagues in the Corporate Services Team to reconcile income streams monthly. Offer database support, guidance, and training to fundraising staff to improve data quality and enhance the overall effectiveness of Salesforce.

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing fundraising income recording processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

• To manage and execute data imports from the Winston’s Wish website and various online giving platforms, ensuring accuracy of data, monitoring, and reconciliation.
