The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with strong customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Key Tasks

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all high value fundraising activity, including proposals, applications, and donor interactions, and be able to regularly report this activity back to the Head of Philanthropy.

• Manage a portfolio of low-mid level prospects and existing donors, developing clear strategies to cultivate relationships and secure continued philanthropic support of £1,000 to £10,000. Ensure all donors in the assigned portfolio are provided stewardship and take responsibility for contacts and annual work plan.

• Develop and deliver a programme of cultivation, stewardship and recognition low-mid level donors and prospects, proactively seeking opportunities to improve the chances of securing repeat gifts through bespoke communications and consistent stewardship.

• Support the Head of Philanthropy and wider High Value Team with stewardship and cultivation of donors and key contacts. These activities may include virtual events, stewardship events, proposal development, annual reporting, and direct marketing appeals.

• Ensure the upkeep of a database and filing system for all existing and prospective donors within High Value Giving liaising with the Finance and Administrative team to ensure reconciliation with financial record.

• Work closely with the Philanthropy team and other colleagues to maximise all opportunities and support a dynamic, successful, and professional team

• Ensure that data security is maintained and that legal and regulatory requirements are fully complied with.

• Undertake other tasks, when necessary, to achieve the team’s and the organisation’s overall objectives.

 General

• Managing a complex workload with competing demands and deadlines. The role holder will agree objectives and overall priorities with the Head of Philanthropy but is expected to manage unexpected/unplanned work within overall timeframes.

• The post holder is required to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues within the Fundraising Team to ensure the successful delivery of fundraising activities.

• The post holder will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will need to communicate effectively and sensitively, building strong relationships with existing and potential donors.

Experience

About you

 Are you detail-oriented, love working with data and want to work in a great team that’s making a difference to people living with myeloma? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Data Officer who has experience working with relational databases with a strong understanding of data protection and electronic marketing regulation. This role is ideal for someone who is methodical, enjoys a varied to-do list, and is committed to continuous professional development.

The right candidate will have experience working with databases in a fundraising or marketing context, be comfortable wrangling and cleaning data and possess the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively. If you have experience with data analysis and visualisation that’s even better!

About the Role

As a Data Officer at Myeloma UK, you will be supporting the charity as we implement a brand-new data strategy. You will ensure our data is handled with the highest care, complying with best practice in data protection, and be involved in projects covering data management, data cleaning, reporting, and analysis.

Some of your varied responsibilities will include:

· Collaborate across the charity assessing our processing and help to manage communication preferences, data assets, including maintaining the Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) log.

The Data Insights Analyst will ensure that Advance is able to accurately measure the effectiveness and impact of Advance’s programming and communicate and report on this effectively to both internal stakeholders – including managers and Trustees – and external stakeholders like commissioners and funders. This will involve developing, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing systems and processes to measure impact and meet stakeholders’ changing needs; training and supporting staff in these systems; preparing and writing reports; championing best practice around monitoring and evaluation; and supporting management as required. This is a role that is focused on handling large data sets and translating the data into a narrative that amplifies the voices of the women we support. Data is essential to the work that we do and you will lead from the front in driving a culture of quality data capture and use

About You: 

 To be successful in this role:

You will bring  good understanding of the Theory of Change (ToC) approach, logical frameworks, MEL plan development and other key MEL approaches/methodologies, including both quantitative and qualitative, and ideally including participatory methodologies. You will have sound knowledge  and experience to interpret, analyse and document results from charity Programmes in writing through a variety of publications, including donor reports and guidelines/toolkits in a clear and succinct manner. You will have experience of working with highly sensitive data, and excellent and proven analytical skills working with both quantitative and qualitative data, including advanced skills on excel, and case management systems. Bringing a successful track record of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and managers, plus developing networks and partnerships.

Data Engineer

£42,000-£45,000 (dependent on skills and experience) plus generous benefits

Location – Hybrid working split between the Foundation’s office in London and home.

We are the Football Foundation - the Premier League, the FA and government’s charity that delivers outstanding grassroots facilities, more and better places to play, transforming lives and communities where it is needed most. 

To help us with this important mission, we currently have vacancies for a Data Engineer to work within the Data & Insight team. This key role will help the Foundation develop its Data Warehouse environment by integrating various data sets efficiently, cleaning the data and optimising query performance to enable deeper and more meaningful analysis. In addition, this role will also be a key contact with funding partners to maintain effective data sharing between them.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer with experience working in a similar role to demonstrate their knowledge and expertise and make a difference in how grassroots community football analyses data.

What can we offer you?

The salary band for this role is £42,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

The purpose being to increase the awareness in Black communities of the risk of prostate cancer and to narrow the health inequalities faced by Black men.

As a Senior Black Health Equity Engagement Officer, you'll be responsible for managing the operational aspects of our charity's Black Men's Health Advisory Group. This includes scheduling meetings, planning agendas, and ensuring effective communication within the group to gather insights, support, and guidance. You'll actively engage with various groups, organisations, and networks within Black communities, building trusting relationships to spread awareness of prostate cancer. Additionally, you’ll also identify and establish ways to build strategic relationships with grassroots organisations who are best placed to deliver work and increase its impact.

You’ll help to build an understanding and knowledge of ways in which health inequalities impact Black men affected by prostate cancer (including their families) and be able to provide expert advice and partner with teams across the charity to help to tackle health inequalities.

You'll develop work plans, measure impact, and ensure that the lived experiences of Black communities shape our work. Additionally, you'll work with colleagues to increase our number of Black volunteers to help make a bigger difference in communities.

What we want from you

We’re looking for candidates who understand health inequalities and are able to explain how they may impact Black men affected by prostate cancer. Knowledge of, or previous involvement in health awareness initiatives would be beneficial for this role, although we also value transferable skills gained from other sectors.

You’ll have experience in organising meetings or events that cater to a diverse range of participants, ensuring that various perspectives are heard and valued, especially within Black communities. You’ll ensure their lived experiences shapes any proposed solutions.

You’ll be an excellent communicator and comfortable presenting to a wide range of audiences and show credibility to those at senior levels and external stakeholders and partners. You’ll also be able to work will with a mix of teams and work together to develop and coordinate plans to benefit Black communities and raising awareness.

Please note that community events often take place on evenings or weekends – the successful candidate will need to work flexibly to attend c. one weekend event a month and take time back mid-week.

What the job involves 

We’re looking for a Black Health Equity Engagement Officer to join us in a newly created role in our Black Health Equity Team alongside a Senior Black Health Equity Engagement Officer. 

The team will support our community engagement function to build trust and engagement with Black community organisations and leaders across the UK. The purpose being to increase the awareness in Black communities of the risk of prostate cancer and to narrow the health inequalities faced by Black men.

As a Black Health Equity Engagement Officer, you’ll be providing the logistical support to Prostate Cancer UK’s Black Men’s Advisory Group - who provide insights, support and guidance to the charity to help us address Black health equity. You’ll attend a wide range of community events and identify ways to spread awareness and build trusting relationships with groups, organisations and networks. 

By building an understanding of the ways which health inequalities impact Black men affected by prostate cancer (and their families) you’ll establish effective and efficient working practices and gather data capturing the impact of this work. 

You’ll get to meet a wide range of supporters and work with Black communities to ensure their lived experiences shape our work and help to increase our number of Black volunteers to increase awareness. You’ll also get to work with different teams across the charity and act as a source of knowledge for our work in tackling health inequalities.

You would be joining a small, tight-knit team, harnessing your passion for designing and delivering exceptional, engaging events (whether virtually or in-person).

About you:

We’re looking for an experienced events fundraiser or someone with substantial experience in a comparable transferable field, with experience in project management and the end-to-end development and delivery of events.

You’ll be a confident communicator with strong marketing experience and focused on exceptional supporter experience whilst being accomplished at building great relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Combined with excellent organisation and time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities whilst keeping to deadlines, you’ll bring your knowledge, creativity and new ideas to help continue to shape the future of our Bespoke Events team.

You will be adept at using data and insight to identify potential areas of growth and be a proactive self-starter, responsible for the end-to-end development and delivery of the events you manage and be comfortable analysing performance and making recommendations for change where necessary.

Research & Policy Assistant

As part of this work, our Insights Team generates actionable insights to inform and deliver the Trust’s programmes of work, and the Research and Policy Assistant is integral to this.

 We are looking for a Research and Policy Assistant to contribute to and support the Trust’s research, evaluation and policy monitoring activity. This includes collecting and communicating research and policy evidence and information, to inform the development of the Trust’s current and potential programmes of work.

An understanding of different types of research methods and excellent communication skills are essential for this role. Knowledge of the barriers experienced by disabled people and those living with mental health conditions as well as an understanding of local and national policy context are welcomed.

Contract terms:

Summary of key duties:

Collecting research evidence and policy information

• Contributing to desk-based research: gathering, analysing, and synthesising secondary research studies relevant to the Trust’s work.
• Contributing to policy monitoring: gathering, interpreting, and synthesising information about national and local policy relevant to the Trust’s work.
• Supporting other elements of the Research & Policy Team’s research, monitoring and evaluation activity where needed, including research and evaluation design, research and evaluation activity, and data analysis.

Communicating research and policy evidence

• Communicating desk-based research and policy evidence: collating and summarising key evidence to share with a range of audiences, both internal and external, in a range of formats and contexts.
• Working with the Research and Policy Team to contribute to written reports, policy position statements, and evidence reviews in support of the Trust’s programmes of work.
• Supporting other elements of the Research & Policy Team’s dissemination activity where needed, including at events to share research findings.

Knowledge and experience:

• An understanding of different types of research data and data collection methods.
• Ability to source, collate and analyse research and policy evidence from a range of sources, including an ability to discern the quality and relevance of those sources.
• Excellent and flexible communication skills, able to communicate information at varying levels of detail in different formats to different audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
