This role sits within our Manchester Missing Service. Your role will be to deliver the Missing From Home Return Interview Service as set out in the contract with Manchester City Council.

• Support the Senior Individual Giving Offi cers in achieving strategic objectives, monitoring income and expenditure and using database analysis to inform and improve the individual giving programme.
• Integrate the direct marketing programme into Fundraising and Experience Directorate activities and support the overall Parkinson’s UK strategic plan.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience of successfully scheduling and managing campaigns to deliver results against agreed objectives and targets.

The role

The Community Engagement Officer is an essential role in fostering strong relationships with current and prospective members of the School Library Association community. The postholder will provide frontline support, drive online and in person engagement through outreach initiatives, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the membership base. Job Description: Training and Events Officer

The Training and Events Officer will play a key role developing and delivering high quality professional development, training, events, workshops to SLA members and wider audiences. The postholder will develop inspirational, insightful and innovative routes to supporting SLA members to deliver on their school library provision remit, enabling children and young people to reach their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about school libraries, education and training.

You will work with the CEO, SLA colleagues and key stakeholders to develop and deliver a comprehensive training offer, including leading on logistics planning and delivery of our flagship annual conference. In addition, you will develop and maintain a calendar of exciting events and opportunities to share knowledge and insight, working with colleagues to ensure the offer is timely and informative. A confident facilitator and coordinator, you will be comfortable leading on training delivery, or recruiting and working with external facilitators in order to achieve specific outcomes.  Creative, with a flair for spotting opportunities for professional development, you will have a keen eye for detail and an ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines. All team members contribute to office admin, maintaining member data and general office support.

To be successful in this role you should ideally demonstrate:

· experience of working in school libraries, the education sector and a strong understanding of the education landscape

· experience developing and delivering inspirational training, to small and large groups, both online and in person

· understanding of what works (and what doesn’t) for different formats and types of training and using evaluation to establish impact

· experience creating training resources, toolkits and teaching and learning resources

· a clear understanding of the curriculum and teaching and learning outcomes

· confidence in developing relationships with a variety of stakeholders

· an ability to manage own workload, prioritise and meet competing deadlines

· creativity and innovation, with a solution-focused approach

· an ability to work flexibly around training and event delivery and travel across the UK as needed

An understanding of business models in relation to training will be an advantage, as will experience planning events. Building relationships with all stakeholders will be an important part of this role.

The salary for this position is £21,945.95 (FTE £29,000) for 28 hours per week, and comes with a 6% employer pension contribution.

This is a remote working role, with monthly all team meetings which you will be required to attend, in addition to training and events across the UK. As our Marketing and Communications Manager (Maternity Cover), you will:

• work collaboratively with Fundraising colleagues, deliver results-driven marketing campaigns and communications support to grow both our audience of supporters and our income
• be part of a team that plans and delivers strategic campaigns that improve the system for seriously ill children and their families
• maximise our brand awareness and reputation among our audiences through our external communications
• stay abreast of print, broadcast and digital media to identify potential opportunities and threats to our ability to deliver our strategic plan

• line-manage our Creative Content Lead.

If so, St Giles Trust is looking for a target-driven Caseworker to join our comprehensive communities-based team in Wales, where you work collaboratively to provide a high-level service to young people who have faced challenges in education, been under the influence of, dealt or supplied substances, or been affected by violence or trauma.

About this exciting opportunity

This multi-faceted role will see our successful candidate assess referred clients, with reference to St Giles Trust assessment practices, and then produce support and risk management plans based on these assessments, ensuring you promote inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process.

We will also count on you to deliver a holistic support service, providing practical assistance with social and housing support, employment, training and education options, benefits work and debt advice, and to develop and maintain relationships with referral agencies, including police, Youth Offending Team and Youth Offending Institutions and local authorities. Closing cases efficiently and positively, identifying a survival plan for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support and assisting with providing monitoring information that will help with the evaluation of the project are also key duties.

What we are looking for

• Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy and the ability to assess clients’ needs.

• Experience in negotiating with partner agencies to establish links to further the aims of a project.

• The ability to use and develop monitoring systems to record all aspects of the project.

• An understanding of the need to use support plans.

• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, for example people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused.

• Excellent IT, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• A flexible, professional and empathetic approach to your work.
