Katherine Low Settlement is a busy, local charity that has been serving Battersea and the wider Wandsworth community since 1924. We are dedicated to building stronger communities and enable people to challenge and find ways out of poverty and isolation.   

  

We run a range of our own community services to support local older people and children, young people, and their families from refugee communities. We campaign for social change. We are looking for an experienced, confident and proactive fundraiser to join our income generation team to raise more grant income from charitable trusts and foundations primarily, along with corporates and other partners. These include local schools and community organisations. Maintaining great relationships with these and other supporters Is a key requirement of this role. Role Purpose 

Working alongside our chief executive (who is an experienced fundraiser), an external larger bid writing resource and heads of programmes, the key objectives are to successfully generate income with grants valuing up to c.£10k in line with KLS fundraising plan and annual budget; develop and maintain relationships, and secure funding from, a portfolio of loyal and prospective supporters. Stewardship, reporting, pipeline and other database management tasks are other key features of the role.

• Drafting and submitting funding bids up to c£10k grant value 

• Reporting to funders and supporting relationships with funders and partners

• Researching and identifying grant funding opportunities 

• Managing bid writing process, including gathering input from colleagues

This is an opportunity to join the Gaia Centre as a Deputy Service Manager. 

The Deputy Service Manager will manage a team and carry a very small caseload of complex cases when necessary. The post will work closely with victims and survivors of different strands of strands of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), including domestic abuse and violence (physical, sexual, emotional,  psychological, economic or tech abuse)​​, Sexual Violence (Rape and sexual assault​)​, Stalking and harassment ​, Sexual exploitation ​​(including women working in sex industry and Child Sexual Exploitation)​​, female genital mutilation (FGM)​/cutting , forced marriage​​, So-called ‘honour’-based abuse, provide early identification and offer appropriate care pathways for survivors of all genders, aged 16 years and over and their children, living, working or/and studying in Lambeth at times from the point of crisis. 

The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the Multiagency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. Additionally, you will be working with survivors and agencies across Lambeth so will require significant travelling. 

The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional and practical support, thus enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The post holder will inform survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety. 

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

We’re looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to help drive our move to a cloud-first environment. In this role, you’ll support and deliver projects that bring Microsoft cloud technologies like Intune, Entra ID, and Azure AD into everyday use.

You’ll also collaborate with teams across the organisation to share best practices, improve tooling, and help build capability in modern management approaches.

You’ll provide technical expertise to build, deliver and improve solutions required to enhance business function, information security and infrastructure through small tasks and large projects alike. Driving efficiencies by assisting in design and lifecycle management of the infrastructure across the organisation encompassing physical, virtual and cloud platforms and associated stack technologies.

About you

​ You’ll have strong technical knowledge and practical experience of: 

• Significant experience implementing and supporting Microsoft-based infrastructure solutions, including Windows server operating systems, group policies, Intune, Entra ID, and SCCM. 
• Proven experience delivering endpoint modern management projects, particularly transitioning from on-premises SCCM and AD to Intune and Entra ID.
• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft cloud and on-prem services, including conditional access policies, Windows Hello, and Entra application proxies.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting tools, such as PowerShell, to streamline operations and deployments.
• Practical experience in securing and hardening infrastructure platforms, ensuring compliance and resilience.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Working arrangements 

12 -month fixed term contract

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

Interview process

The Senior Children’s and Families Pastor is a key role within the staff team at St Stephen’s.

We are looking for someone with a passion to see children (0-11s) and their families grow as whole life disciples of Jesus, with direct experience working with children, and proven strategic leadership skills, to lead this ministry into continued growth at this exciting time for St Stephen’s.

Currently there are 4 main strands to children’s ministry at St Stephen’s:

1. Church based kid’s ministry and discipleship

2. Community pre-school and families

3. School’s ministry (St Stephen’s primary and 2 other local primary schools); and

4. Parenting (building community and pastoral support).

We expect the director of children’s ministry to oversee all these strands but directly lead the church-based ministry and at least one other area.

The successful candidate will take responsibility and strategic oversight for all 0-11 ministry, leading the kids and families team (presently consisting of a part time community families pastor, and the Associate kids pastor, to be appointed.) and the recruitment and training of a large volunteer team.

We are supporting a leading professional body with the search for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to lead the finance business partnering function – playing a key role in supporting the achievement of the organisation’s aims and objectives through the provision of reliable data, financial modelling and insights.

Bringing your business partnering mindset, and excellent service delivery skills, you will be joining at a time where the organisation is investing in new back-office systems and a new finance system. You will therefore play a pivotal role in embedding new ways of working, and you will lead the continued development of effective financial analysis to facilitate informed decision making across the organisation.

In order to be considered for the role you will have a recognised CCAB qualification, and be able to demonstrate significant experience in roles focusing on Financial Planning and Analysis. You will be adept in implementing and utilising financial analysis tools and business models, demonstrate a customer focussed approach, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively at a senior level.
