As a Children’s Residential Worker, you will directly look after children and young people who have complex emotional and mental health needs due to trauma, loss and other adverse experiences.

You will be required to support children to regulate and understand their emotions. Working within a therapeutic framework, you will develop a direct programme of work aimed at developing authentic relationships with our children and young people (aged 12 – 17 years old on admission to the Children’s Home).

Meet your Manager

In this role you will be managed by Sebastien De Menthon who is a Philanthropy Manager and joined ClientEarth in 2022, based in London. Sebastien discovered ClientEarth while studying anthropology and law at university. The high-leverage legal approach to achieve tangible progress on the climate and biodiversity crisis was immediately appealing. Since joining ClientEarth as a Philanthropy Officer, Sebastien has progressed to the Philanthropy Manager position where he supports and oversees two members of the Philanthropy Team. He has found that working in the Philanthropy Team has been a fantastic way to support ClientEarth's mission while learning about the world and developing skills in relationship management and communication. 

Main Duties

• Actively manage donor relationships across assigned portfolio of largely UK supporters with first class stewardship and reporting to secure renewals and uplifts of approximately £1m per annum.
• Develop the pipeline of new donors through effective prospect research, network mapping and connecting with new contacts at external and internal events as a representative of ClientEarth
• Support the Philanthropy Manager, Philanthropy Lead for Europe and all the Philanthropy team to create the conditions for success in the European Philanthropy Team. Collaborating with colleagues across Europe inclusively to achieve shared goals, strengthen processes and model ClientEarth’s core values of courage, collaboration, integrity and care
• Keep up to date with fundraising trends and ensure these are worked into internal activities and planning
• Build a strong network of internal relationships across programme teams to facilitate engagement between legal staff and donors

The Finance department provides the complete finance function which includes payroll to the whole organisation overseeing all the 165 services across England, addressing all issues and processing payments to meet the demands of staff and external agencies.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of the new itrent payroll system, configurations are as per the requirements of the organisation and ensuring that the project is completed on time and goes live successfully. You will be a confident communicator and comfortable working in a small team environment where priorities can change at short notice. 

Main Responsibilities:

• To work closely with MHR, HR Team and consultants to ensure that tasks are scheduled and completed to meet project timelines.
• To co-ordinate work with HR and Payroll colleagues to ensure all relevant payroll processes are captured, reviewed, and, where necessary or appropriate, changed to ensure they are fit for purpose with the new system.
• To be responsible and manage the configuration of the new modules, working with HR and Payroll colleagues, MHR and other consultants to ensure that it is configured to Family Action’s requirements and that the rationale and effects of our chosen configuration is clearly documented.
• To work alongside the HR Systems and Operation Managers to ensure that the HR and Payroll teams are trained and supported in the effective use of the system as pertains to their roles.
• To be responsible and manage user testing of the new system and any parallel runs as part of the implementation process.
• To act as the Payroll System Administrator for iTrent, taking the lead on technical functionality and expertise and liaising with MHR as required for technical solutions.
• To support the Payroll team with other ad hoc duties, as may be required for running an effective and efficient payroll system.

• CIPP qualified or significant experience working in Payroll in a Payroll  Manager or payroll system development and implementation role
• Significant experience using and administrating itrent payroll systems, including liaison with system providers.
• Experience of implementing payroll system(s).
• Experience configuring systems in accordance with specific and complex requirements.
• Experience leading on projects.
• An excellent in-depth knowledge and understanding of HR and payroll processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to think creatively and decisively to solve problems.
• Demonstrable ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively, both internally within and across teams, and with external partners.
• An excellent understanding of payroll and related legislation, including pension, absences etc regulations
• A high level of proficiency using Microsoft Office, in particular use of Excel to manipulate data.

Job Summary

This is an opportunity for an experienced manager with a proven track record of supporting and leading a team of advocates to join Advance as the Angelou service manager. The post holder will manage a team of senior IDVAs (2) and IDVAs (4) who provide advocacy services to women experiencing domestic violence and abuse. This role requires the effective management of advocates who will deliver 1:1 advocacy that fulfils the needs of women accessing advocacy services across the boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the Multiagency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The post holder will collaborate with Advance management, external agencies, and key stakeholders to provide consistent and holistic service.

Dementia UK is currently seeking two Database Officers to lead on the delivery of processes within the Database Services team.

As a Database Officer, your primary responsibility will be managing a substantial volume of data files from a variety of sources, seamlessly importing this information into our fundraising database. You will handle supporter data ensuring a high level of accuracy, while being directly responsible for running the majority of data imports as well as handling enquires coming into the Database Services shared inbox and running regular data cleansing routines.

In addition, you will be expected to maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed. Working with the Supporter Care, Finance, and Fundraising teams to ensure income is accurately coded across all fundraising streams and maintaining the accuracy of database process guidance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data protection guidelines including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and will bring previous experience in using databases for data entry, maintenance, and importation. A high level of computer literacy is essential, and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is required. Your ability to function effectively within a team, coupled with your initiative in prioritising and organising your workload, will be key to success.

With the charity’s move from Raiser’s Edge to Dynamics 365, you will also be involved in the testing of the new database, training of end users, and the writing of new process documentation. It is an exciting time to be joining Database Services, and there will be opportunities for personal development and the acquisition of a broad base of technical skills across the work of the team.
