This role reports into the Head of Brand and Marketing and sits withing the multi-disciplined Marketing and Communications Team, producing high quality, compelling and insight-driven content for use across multiple channels. This includes video and multimedia content, written stories and blogs as well as leading the podcast production.

Key Responsibilities:

· Content strategy and development – work with the Head of Brand and Marketing to develop and deliver content strategy; assessing content production needs across the charity, generating content ideas with the wider team and managing content production.

· Video creation - lead on the development of video content across the charity, sourcing contributors, managing scripts, overseeing filming and editing with the Multimedia Content Producer for campaigns..

· Blogs and written content – lead on the delivery of the blog plan, ensuring you’re continually publishing relevant, audience-focused blogs in line with wider objectives and activity. Support others to deliver blogs and written articles.

· Podcast – lead on the production and delivery the charity’s podcast, working with external podcast producer and collaborating with colleagues across Marcomms to promote the content. Build business case and plans to develop and grow podcast.  

· Photography – work with the Multimedia Content Producer to maintain the image library, ensuring that consent is current and stories/photography are continually uploaded.

· Family stories – work closely with the Stories Manager to source storytellers for upcoming content activity, collaborating closely with families on commissioned projects to ensure stories are shared in the most effective way.

· Relationship building and engagement – work with external video agencies and freelancers, to brief in, project manage, and deliver content projects that aren’t being produced in house.

· Line manage Multimedia Content Producer – effectively line manage and develop the Multimedia Content Producer including regular 1-2-1 meetings and annual appraisals. Identify learning and development opportunities including training, coaching and skills sharing.

Person Specification:

· Experience planning and implementing content strategies.

· Strong experience of managing video production agencies and other suppliers, from quotation/brief through to delivery.

· Excellent proficiency and understanding of content creation, including video production and editing (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X).

· Strong knowledge of digital requirements such as video sharing formats across channels.

Finance Manager

Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.  

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.

ROLE OVERVIEW

AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands of this growth, we are looking for a full time Finance and Resources Manager to join our team.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

To work with the Board, CEO and Deputy CEO to ensure efficient and effective financial management, including setting and monitoring budgets, producing financial reports, and overseeing day to day financial management, including payroll and bookkeeping via Quickbooks, and providing advice and guidance, to inform the development and delivery of AAFDA’s strategy and business plan.

To work with the CEO and Deputy CEO to ensure that AAFDA meets its funder obligations, including reporting on time, gathering data from across the team and compiling reports for CEO/Deputy CEO sign off.

To work with Trustees and staff to ensure AAFDA fulfils its legal and regulatory requirements, including; coordinating the implementation of health and safety, GDPR and other policies and procedures; leading on human resources support; and overseeing office management and IT. Note that specialist HR advice and support and IT are provided to AAFDA by external contractors.

The role provides and manages the HR, administration and finance activities of the Charity and sits within the Senior Leadership Team.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

· Ensuring the day-to-day financial and accounting operations (Quickbooks) are delivered and maintained.

· Administering and managing Payroll, expenses, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, managing the bank including reconciliations and other financial management.

· Managing AAFDA’s budget planning, monitoring and review and year-end accounts processes.

· Meeting AAFDA’s funder reporting deadlines, including oversight of the compilation of information for the funder and the provision of financial reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance:

· In conjunction with the Leadership team, undertake regular finance operational duties including;

- Preparation and setting of a three-year outline budget to accompany AAFDA’s three-year strategy.

- Preparation and setting of the annual budget.

- quarterly reviews – including cashflow and operational re-forecasts.

- Monthly management accounts and variance analysis.

· Prepare quarterly finance reports for the Board, including variance analysis, re-forecasts and ad-hoc reports, as necessary.

· Assist the third-party accountant with the preparation of year-end accounts.

· Manage and operate the internal finance and accounting systems and databases.

· Oversee delivery of payroll, through the use of third-party providers software and using the staff time management recording system.

· Manage all staff expense systems and ensure compliance with relevant AAFDA policies.

· Manage and operate a purchasing system and ensure appropriate levels of pre-expenditure financial authorisation are in place and followed and that suppliers are paid on a timely basis.

· Ensure that all receivables are billed and collected on a timely basis.

· Be the main contact with and management of, the day-to-day operations of the Charity’s banking arrangements, seeking secondary authorisations where required.

· Ensure compliance with HMRC, including monitoring VAT threshold, tax and gift aid, and undertake necessary returns where necessary.

As Assistant Donation Hub Manager, your primary purpose is to support the efficient and effective operation of our Donations Hub, ensuring that all incoming stock is sorted, processed, and distributed in line with the needs of our retail and ecommerce operations.

You will work closely with the Operations Manager to manage a complex and varied stock flow coming from multiple sources - including in-store donations, house clearances, home collections, corporate and community events, and direct drop-offs from the public. A key part of your role will be to ensure these donations are processed efficiently, assessed for maximum value, and appropriately segmented to drive income across our 14 shops and online platforms.

This is a highly practical and physical role that requires strong organisational skills and a deep understanding of operational logistics. You’ll be responsible for ensuring timely fulfilment of shop orders, maintaining high standards of stock quality by both sorting incoming donations from shops, allocating corporate donations and supporting the movement and dispatch of goods in a way that maximises efficiency and minimises waste.

You’ll lead day-to-day activities in the hub, supervising volunteers and working collaboratively with drivers to deliver an excellent internal service to shop teams. You will also act as a key support for community-facing donation activity - helping to deliver excellent service during home collections, managing local donor interactions at the warehouse, and assisting with the logistics of house clearances.

Flexibility will be vital, as the role will operate across a seven-day rota and may require you to deputise for the Operations Manager or drivers when needed. About the role

This is an exciting new role within a brand new contract to support the referral process from the Housing Solutions teams! The service focuses on providing floating and wraparound support to single applicants who are at risk of homelessness and are able to live independently, by providing a housing support plan towards resolving housing needs and support them into long-term, stable housing.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between single homeless individuals seeking accommodation and landlords within the private rented sector. You will identify and secure housing opportunities for our participants, ensuring that properties align with their needs and financial capabilities. You will build and maintain positive relationships with landlords, facilitating open communication to address concerns, manage expectations, and promote collaborative solutions. You will act as the main point of contact for landlords, providing necessary information, assistance, and resources regarding tenant management and the rental process to foster a supportive environment for both parties.

This role is ideal for someone who has a real passion towards helping to end the cycle of homelessness, providing support to those who need it to live in stable accommodation. You will thrive in a person centred environment with real compassion and a non-judgmental attitude, understanding that people face different life experiences and sometimes just need that extra support to get back on their feet. The Debt Advice Team at Toynbee Hall provides crucial support to individuals and families struggling with financial burdens. Funded by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), this team delivers expert guidance and practical solutions to help clients manage and reduce their debt. The team's advisors are trained to navigate complex financial situations, offering tailored advice that empowers clients to regain control of their finances. Their work is vital in fostering financial resilience within the community, ensuring that individuals have the tools they need to achieve long-term financial stability.

Scope of role

The Debt Technical Supervisor is responsible for supporting Debt Advisers to ensure the delivery of accurate, effective, and tailored advice to over-indebted clients. This role involves conducting debt-advice interview observations, reviewing case files, and identifying training needs for advisers. The Debt Technical Supervisor provides real-time support and constructive feedback, helping advisers navigate complex cases and ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and information. Additionally, the role includes auditing delivery partner organisations to prepare them for external reviews and supporting them in meeting compliance and quality standards. The supervisor will collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to promote best practices, address risks, and contribute to the continuous professional development of advisers.

Key Responsibilities

Support Debt Advisers in their roles and ensure that the advice provided to over- indebted Clients is accurate, effective and tailored to individuals’ circumstances.

• Conducting debt-advice interview observations.
• Undertaking debt advice file reviews.
• Identifying advisers’ soft skill and technical training needs.
• Providing constructive feedback, and pastoral support, to advisers and their line managers.
• Providing real-time support to advisers, which will include but is not limited to providing guidance in complex matters and provide advisers with sources of information.

Support, and regularly audit delivery partner organisations, ensuring that they are prepared for external reviews of their service in line with the Grant Agreement.

• Ensure partner organisation are kept up to date with the requirements for external assessments.
• Supporting partner organisations with the preparation and review of files and documentation ahead of an external assessment.
• Support partner organisations with the implementation of any remedial actions following an external review and support advisors to identify suitable training to improve areas highlighted.

Ensure project compliance and quality requirements are achieved

• Working closely with the Quality Assurance Mangers to ensure Advisors based at delivery partners have a good awareness and understanding of the quality and service delivery requirements and have active involvement in the delivery of partnership events related to both quality improvement and CPD.
• Working collaboratively to share good practice in performance and quality improvement and to progress key priority areas of work.
• Escalating risks promptly and appropriately and contributing to wider monitoring and reporting requirements.

Contribute to Team

• Work to an agreed work-plan meeting targets and milestones
• Prioritise and manage your own workload.
• Be an active member of the team, identifying opportunities for your development. Work in collaboration with our funder, and with colleagues from across their other funded organisations, contributing to key projects and meetings.
• Compliance with Toynbee Hall policies and procedures, including health and safety. Demonstrate financial efficiency and value for money throughout work.

• Travel across London as required, and occasionally the UK
