About the role

This role will support Kinship to operate as an effective charity by ensuring effective day-to-day operations and seamless delivery of the People function at the charity.

You will bring your People leadership experience, attention to detail and excellent communication skills to the role. You will be structured in your approach to ensure that day-to-day issues are handled while also working to improve processes and systems. Key Responsibilities include:

• Work with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Executive management team to design, develop and embed a high-quality HR function to support the employee life cycle.

• Responsible for ensuring all policies, procedures, and processes relating to people and culture, work effectively, efficiently and in line with legal requirements.

• Responsible for all People matters, ensuring they are handled fairly and consistently in line with policies and procedures.

• Support and advise line managers on People, EDI and change management activities, including promotions, disciplinary, capability and grievance procedures.

• Organise line manager training to ensure line managers understand their responsibilities and apply policies consistently.

• Responsible for the candidates’ recruitment experience. Ensure candidates receive a consistent and professional recruitment experience.

• Responsible for job descriptions, person specifications, recruitment packs and job adverts.

• Ensure offboarding processes are robust and implemented consistently to safeguard the charity’s assets and to comply with Data Protection rules.

• Lead on the delivery and growth of the ‘Kinship Friendly Employers’ scheme, driving growth in the scheme and the number of bronze, silver and gold partners

• Ensure Kinship role models ‘Kinship Friendly’ employment practices and seek opportunities to share these as examples with other HR professionals.

• Support fundraising efforts with corporate supporters who are ‘Kinship Friendly Employers’

Essential criteria includes:

• HR qualification or significant demonstrable experience.

• Coaching qualification or significant demonstrable experience.

• Demonstrable experience of supporting the development of a high-quality People function within a growing organisation.

• Demonstrable experience working in a changing and flexible organisation.

• Demonstrable problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

The role does have flexibility to shape and innovate but will be focused on the continuation and delivery of two main priorities:

1. Working with our nature reserve teams to implement accessibility improvements that make our spaces more inclusive for Staff, Volunteers and Visitors
2. Working with Communications and Learning and Development teams, internal networks and other stakeholders, to deliver better experiences for our disabled workforce from the point they apply for a role.

Essentials:

• Experienced in delivering strategic accessibility interventions and influencing positive change at all levels of a large and complex organisation and the wider sector
• Personal commitment to making a tangible difference to accessibility with a focus on physical disability, sensory disabilities and neurodiverse people and communities.
• An advocate and practitioner of accessible design and clear communication
• Background and confidence in working with people with lived experience of access barriers and providing support and advice to organisations around accessibility.
• Comfortable to proactively challenge internal policy, practices and communications to better include marginalised groups. 
• Expertise on accessible communications, with experience working to improve standards of internal communications and co-designing engaging content for external communication
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to role model and drive behaviour change across all areas of accessibility

Passionate about outstanding supporter experiences and maximising income opportunities, you have a good understanding of direct marketing and digital channels such as direct mail, SMS, telemarketing and email. About the role:

This role is based in Rochdale Police station along with some hybrid working, you must be prepared to travel across the borough of Rochdale.

As a IDVA you will deliver specialist and enhanced support to victims/survivors who have experienced Domestic Violence Abuse. You will be responsible for providing high quality interventions through the development of individually tailored & risk assessed support and safety plans.

You will need:

• To conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments and ensure each victim/survivor receives an individual tailored support package that fully meets their identified needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• To Provide one to one support to victim/survivor who has been affected by domestic abuse.
• The ability to review the assessment of risk on an ongoing basis, ensuring appropriate and immediate action is taken in respect of any victim/survivor facing significant harm, making the necessary referrals to MARAC and local safeguarding processes as required given the legal framework relating to the protection of children and the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children's Board.
• To establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing, with the intention of supporting children and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse. Attend meetings as required.
• Ideally a background in Social Worker, Police or Domestic Abuse would be advantageous

This position will require you to work closely with the MARAC Head of Service, MARAC Team, MARAC Chair and partner agencies to ensure referral thresholds are met, meetings are well organised, effectively coordinated, and accurate recordings of the meetings are taken and distributed following planned delivery requirements.

We are looking for a highly organised individual with the passion to make a difference, you will need proficient I.T. skills particularly in Word, Excel and case recording data base systems.

We are seeking an individual to raise awareness of the Fund’s welfare offer amongst social welfare agencies across the West Midlands but also, crucially, to help address the issue of social isolation and feelings of loneliness experienced by some members of the RAF Family.

The post holder will be working with socially isolated individuals to identify meaningfully enriching opportunities to reduce feelings of loneliness, some of whom may have complex and challenging welfare needs, to develop actions plans and coordinate support to overcome any barriers preventing successful connection into these enriching opportunities, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector.

About the role

The DAPO Project Manager will work closely with the DAPO Programme Manager and SafeLives Finance Manager to support the successful delivery of the programme and maintain effective commissioning relationships with service providers across each pilot area. Key responsibilities will include overseeing commissioning contracts, supporting programme implementation, managing stakeholder relationships, and providing regular progress reports to commissioners.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week with flexible working hours and provision of an out-of-hours response as needed.

Location: Remote working. You will be required to travel when the role requires it.

Contract: Fixed term contract to 31st March 2026.

Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research, and the best advice and support.

To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Our research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to Beat Macular Disease forever.

This exciting role is responsible for delivering income from a range of donors and prospects, with a focus on trusts and foundations, lottery and statutory sources, as well as HNWI. We are looking for an ambitious and strategic fundraiser with a proven track record of raising significant funds from charitable trusts and foundations, lottery and statutory sources as well as HNWI, who, alongside our existing team, will help to grow and develop this area of fundraising for the Macular Society. The post holder will have a proven eye for detail, an analytical nature, first class relationship management skills and a flair for writing successful applications.

Duties:

To work with our Senior Philanthropy Specialist, Database Manager and Supporter Engagement Team to identify new potential major donors from our database
To support in organising cultivation events for P&P Team audiences both in-person and online

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. 

Their vision is to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. To achieve their mission, they are looking for a Community Fundraiser who will proactively engage with supporters, community groups and volunteers across the West Midlands to join their team of 12 Community Fundraisers across the UK.

The Community Fundraiser (West Midlands) is responsible for providing support and guidance to fundraisers within their communities to achieve their ambitions and ultimately raise vital funds for Brain Tumour Research. This is achieved through a wide variety of activities such as helping supporters to make the most of their own fundraising, engaging participants with externally organised events such as the Great Birmingham Run, and encouraging communities to get involved in events organised by Brain Tumour Research such as Wear a Hat Day and Walk for Hope. The Community Fundraiser will be the face of Brain Tumour Research in the area, providing excellent stewardship to existing supporters, and building great relationships with new supporters.

This post has been vacant since Autumn, and as such needs a fundraiser with confidence and capability in fundraising to join the team, provide donor love to the loyal supporters in the area, and approach developing the areas potential with energy and enthusiasm. As Finance and Office Manager you will manage all aspects of operational finances and budget controls, together with maintaining office processes.

As Finance and Office Manager, you will:

- Ensure the effective controls of all operational financial activities, including the adequate reporting and recording of all transactions

- Complete all payroll and pension administration
