Charity People are working with a children's hospice to find an exceptional Major Donors and Philanthropy Partnerships Manager to help them to expand the number of children and families they can care for. This is a brand-new role working closely with the CEO and Director of Income & Engagement to diversify income, building on existing partnerships and developing new ones.

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hrs, happy to look at flexible working and 0.8.
Location: Hybrid from the hospice in Chorley as well as from home and out and about for meetings/networking
Benefits: Brilliant benefits package which includes 35 days annual leave (including bank hols) rising 1 day/year for 5 years, 6% pension contribution, 2 X life assurance benefit, enhanced maternity, paternity and sickness policies, lots of L&D opportunities, subsidised meals as well as parking.
Culture: Flexible, supportive, able to work with autonomy

About the charity

Since 1993, this hospice has provided end-of-life care to babies, children and young people across the Northwest and their families. They are focused on supporting young people right up until their 26th birthday to ensure they have a well-established network of support in their community. Their support for babies, children and young people includes palliative care, respite stays, day care, holidays and end of life support. The hospice understands that having an unwell child has a huge impact on the whole family, and provide holistic, practical and emotional support and advice to families throughout their journey.

About the role

As Major Donors and Philanthropy Partnerships Manager, you'll develop and implement a new fundraising strategy for the hospice to inspire and support high value relationships from wealthy individuals and corporates. There is so much opportunity to build on a brilliant reputation of donor care and service right across Lancashire, North Manchester and South Cumbria. You'll have the support of a brilliant wider fundraising and communications team as well as a whole host of events, both fundraising and engagement to support engagement with corporate and high net worth donors.

About you

We are looking for someone who excels at establishing and building relationships at this level, someone who is confident in crating and developing a fundraising pipeline of high value support that'll deliver on income targets.

Key attributes we're looking for include:

  • Significant experience of fundraising from major donors and corporates/sales and business development experience with a track record of growing income
  • Experience of developing and implementing strategic fundraising plans and turning these into operational plans
  • Someone who is an exceptional and eloquent communicator

If you're driven by making a difference in the lives of children with life-limiting illnesses and their families, please get in touch: we'd absolutely love to hear from you.

Please send a copy of your profile or CV to Ellen Drummond at Charity People as the first step.

Deadline: 6th June at 9am
Interviews: w/c 16th June on site
