What are we looking for?

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance to join our team. The role will sit within our Central Services Team and will report to the Director of Resources and Business Systems.

In this role, you'll be responsible for producing and delivering monthly management accounts, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring robust internal controls are in place. You'll also manage the year end audit, budgeting and forecasting and support procurement processes, while leading a dedicated finance team.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the effective management of the Trust’s third party funded organisation grant programmes across England, Scotland and Wales

Key Responsibilities

· To act as the managerial point of contact between the Trust’s Grantees & the Trust ensuring programme materials up to date.

· To create documentation linked to grant programmes, such as Applications, Review Templates, Scoring Matrix and Grant Agreements.

· Build & manage positive “listening & learning” relationships with organisational grant applicants.

· Help ensure BGET learns from best practice delivery, and identify, recognize & respond to issues or opportunities as they arise.

Reporting & Contract Management:

· Help ensure that organisations are supported to meet their obligations under their grant agreement, including KPIs and other reporting tools.  Including identifying risks to delivery and supporting the grantee to help resolve any challenges with delivery that impact on the grant obligations. 

· Collate comprehensive and clear feedback, data and information to monitor performance and impact on an ongoing and regular basis.

· Input into coordination, collection and analysis of Ofgem end of year reporting information.

· Ensure all data collection aligned to current Data Protection regulations and use and storage of data is in line with the Trust’s own policies and provide reassurance to the CEO and Board.

· Prepare clear and informative monthly programme updates and support the preparation of quarterly programme reports to the Board to clearly evidence operational delivery across the grant portfolio. 

· Ensure that the outcomes and KPI information are used to create impact reports during the contract period.

· Conduct monitoring visits to funded projects, (in person and online) ensuring accurate briefing notes and write up of meetings are compiled and logged appropriately.

· Establish clear reporting systems with each grant organisation and ensure accurate notes of quarterly meetings with portfolio of projects.

· Work with Finance to ensure grant funds are expended in line with grant agreements and any regulatory requirements.

· Ensure accurate data is in place for year-end reporting.

Knowledge Sharing

· Identify and develop opportunities for the organisational grant applicants to work collaboratively and share learning.

· Create and deliver events for our projects either online or annually at our Annual Advisors Gathering.

· Ensure case studies and other content is collated from the projects to share through our channels.

JOB TITLE: National Fundraising Manager

LOCATION: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire Headquarters – based with regular travel across designated UK regions (including regular overnight stays).

Job Purpose

To lead and manage regional fundraising initiatives around the UK, developing relationships with volunteers, donors, and community groups to maximise income generation and awareness. This role requires a combination of strategic oversight, operational support and hands-on engagement with volunteers and supporters across multiple regions. Ideally the National Fundraising Manager will be present at the charity’s office 1-2 days per week, with the rest of the time dedicated to travel across the UK in support of our extensive volunteer family.

Scope of role

The Debt Technical Supervisor is responsible for supporting Debt Advisers to ensure the delivery of accurate, effective, and tailored advice to over-indebted clients. The Debt Technical Supervisor provides real-time support and constructive feedback, helping advisers navigate complex cases and ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and information. Key Responsibilities

Support Debt Advisers in their roles and ensure that the advice provided to over- indebted Clients is accurate, effective and tailored to individuals’ circumstances.

• Conducting debt-advice interview observations.
• Undertaking debt advice file reviews.
• Identifying advisers’ soft skill and technical training needs.
• Providing constructive feedback, and pastoral support, to advisers and their line managers.

Princess Alice Hospice is one of the top ten adult hospices in the UK, providing specialist palliative care and support to a community of more than a million people living in Surrey, South West London and Middlesex. 

The Night Response Team (NR) provides specialist on call palliative nursing care between the hours of 22.00 and 08.00, 7 days a week for palliative care patients known to Princess Alice Hospice.

The Team also provides nursing care and assistance to palliative and general patients who are referred from the district nursing service, the OOH’s service (111), local ambulance services SECAMB and LAS, Mole Valley Telecare and Tunstall Community Alarm services. This includes palliative patients who are not known to PAH. Night Response visit patients in their own homes as well as in care and residential homes.

A Night Response shift will be covered by two members of staff per night, usually one RN and an SHCA, occasionally two RN’s.

We are based in an office on the in-patient unit at the Hospice. We receive calls, provide information, support and advice to patients, families, and other health care professionals, whilst visiting patients as required throughout the night.

The Night Response Service brings the skills and expertise of our highly trained and dedicated specialist team directly into the patients homes. This allows patients, their families and carers access to the vital support they need at home, when time matters most, providing the opportunity for patients to remain at home and reducing the need for hospital admissions.  

 About the role: 

We are looking for an experienced, proactive, dynamic and versatile Staff Nurse with excellent interpersonal, communication and telephone triage skills, to join our Night Response Team.

Experience in caring for patients who are terminally ill is essential. You will need to be able to work autonomously and have an excellent understanding of care provision in the community and be involved in auditing the service provided. 

You will need a full driving license with a maximum of 6 points for use of the hospice vehicle (automatic)

- Experience of using insights to influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Significant and demonstrable experience of model building.

- Excellent SQL, Power BI skills and understanding of requirements of compliance in a regulated environment.

This is an exciting opportunity - a brand new project and role, which is critical to the success of ID Grace House UK. Grace House is a 6 bedroomed property, offering safe and secure accommodation for women leaving prison, who would otherwise be homeless. We will be offering life skills training to all residents and ongoing support.

Our aim is to get residents into employment and accommodation of their own. 

CHRISTIAN HOUSE MANAGER

You will have experience in leading a team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment.

You will be highly motivated and passionate about the rehabilitation of women leaving prison.

You will be committed to supporting vulnerable women, enabling them to build on their existing strengths to make positive changes in their lives.

You will have overall responsibility for the continuous improvement and consistency of the day-to-day delivery of the project and be responsible for financial planning and have budgetary responsibilities.

You will help to ensure that Grace House becomes a centre of excellence and help set a positive example of the rehabilitation of prison leavers

You will maintain and further the excellent reputation we currently have with our referral prisons to ensure a constant flow of residents, reducing the likelihood of voids.

You will liaise with venue staff where our #SheMatters community courses are run, overseeing a timetable of courses and ensure that all course provision meets the high standards set by ID Grace House UK.

You will have personal experience of running courses with vulnerable and sometimes chaotic women.  The Course Facilitators make up part of the Grace House Team.

You will be responsible for and have experience of fundraising and be willing to work alongside the Imago Dei staff team to ensure the project is financially stable long term. 

You will be willing to undertake on call duties out-of-hours.

KEY TASKS AND DUTIES:

• Ability to motivate, coach and manage the performance of the Grace House Team. To coach the Team on continuous personal development (CPD) and to undertake any qualifications relevant to their role; 

• Ensure robust plans are created in partnership with residents, to support their progression and ensuring their voices are heard;

• Work with the residents of Grace House to help them address habits/choices made which brought them to offend: to assist them in regaining self-esteem, well-being and independence;

• Support the women in every aspect of adjusting to life out of prison, giving both practical and emotional help, and support women as they seek work and permanent housing;

• Lead by example to champion Grace House values, be respectful and compassionate. Manage any behaviour actioned by the Team that does not reflect the values of Grace House and train on the same.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

• Experience of supporting vulnerable women with mental health, substance misuse, domestic violence, challenging behaviours, offending behaviour
• Have CTC Prison Clearance or be willing to complete the vetting and checks for this
• A practicing Christian*
• Experience of managing a team
• Experience of working in the challenging environment of a prison setting or similar
• Experience of facilitating courses with women presenting challenging behaviours.

Desirable 

• Experience with supporting prison leavers.

Project

SUN was launched in 2021 and is a service delivered by MFT and SABP for people with difficulties associated with the diagnosis of personality disorder. The innovative SUN service is based on therapeutic community principles and members are expected to both give and receive support as part of their membership. 

The Role

The SUN facilitator with lived experience will be working closely with a SUN specialist clinician to deliver regular Service User Network (SUN) support groups in different community-based locations across Surrey and North East Hampshire.

SUN provides community-based, open access facilitated peer support groups and aims to help people develop effective ways of coping and improve their relationship with themselves and others.

We are looking for individuals who are highly resilient and are confident in sustaining an emotionally demanding paid role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Co-deliver regular SUN support groups in the community, both face to face and online, with a clinical facilitator.

• Work in collaboration with the co-facilitator and the SUN members.

• Use own lived experience of mental health problems associated with a diagnosis of personality disorder to support the development and knowledge of the service and wider services.

• Contribute to ensuring that any potential risk is being constantly assessed within a culture of positive risk taking and shared responsibility.

• Co-lead on different areas of the service on a rota basis, i.e., reporting, outreach, and member involvement.

• Undertake all the required training in line with the development of the post and as agreed with both your line manager within MFT and the service manager of SUN.

• Attend and contribute to additional service development meetings as required.

• Assist in the promotion of the service through active liaison, meetings, and presentations with people who access services, staff and other organisations.

About You

You will be committed to undertake training on SUN protocols and methods and obtain knowledge regarding mental health with specific focus on personality disorder and the recovery approach.

You will have:

• Personal lived experience of mental health issues associated with personality disorder.

• Previous experience of working within a professional environment.

• Knowledge of personality disorder, mental health issues and recovery approach.

• Ability to reflect on and appropriately share your own life experiences and personal experiences of mental ill health as part of the facilitating role of the groups.

• Ability to guide others in taking charge of their own recovery.

• Ability to understand and create healthy boundaries.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Excellent communication and listening skills.

• Ability to be non-judgmental, demonstrate empathy, compassion and patience.

Complex Case Worker

The post holder will be part of the Insight Platform, Young people’s service and will work with young people who have alcohol related problems, mental health issues and complex needs including drugs, psychological issues, anti-social behaviour, self-harm, or any other co-existing needs. The post holder will improve access to treatment services in the area for this cohort and, will provide a range of interventions for service users in this group including 1 :1 support and group work. 

You will bring a creative driven approach to the role and a willingness to build and nurture a successful and dynamic team focussed on delivering excellence and a quality service to promote and enhance the performance and reputation of Waythrough. You will be able to work seamlessly within professional partnerships to deliver outstanding services. An engaging communicator, you will have worked in a similar or NHS setting managing a team working with clients with substance misuse issues and/or complex needs.

Head of Retail

The Role

The Head of Retail will lead a team of 60+ staff and several hundred volunteers to grow and develop our retail presence on the high street and online. With 23 shops already open and plans to reach 30 in the next few years, this crucial role will be responsible for identifying new opportunities for growth, as well as maximising income from our existing shops. The money raised from our shops directly supports our life-saving work in the county, and the Head of Retail will also play a role in contributing to the wider success of the charity.

The Candidate

We're seeking an experienced and passionate retailer to join us. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with a background in charity retail. They'll have an entrepreneurial spirit and a creative eye, but also able to motivate a large and diverse team, as well as working collaboratively with key internal support functions. They'll have demonstrable experience in budget management and sales analysis, with an ability to draw actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge and understanding of retail best practice, including health and safety and wider regulatory compliance issues. A good geographical knowledge of Devon is essential.

A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
