We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the training you need for the role you take on. We are looking to run a volunteering selection session, Interviews will be in person at either Whitby or Scarborough locations.

We are looking for new members to join our clinical team in Derbyshire South to support at local community events.

Volunteers will be required to undertake 2 days of face-to-face training for their role in addition to online learning modules. Meetings with the Network team take place on Monday and Thursday evenings, some available online.

We are looking to run a volunteering selection session on: Sunday 9th or Sunday 23rd November, Inductions will take place after the interviews. 

Face-to-face training for role will take place in Derby on 17th & 18th January 2026. You must be able to attend both days. Online learning can be done in your own time prior to the course.

We're now recruiting for Community First Aiders across The Wirral (including Birkenhead, Wallasey, Heswall, West Kirby and Bromborough). We welcome anyone but especially interested in applicants that are available during the week.

There is an expectation to regularly attend training meetings at one of our Network Units. Locations, days and times will be discussed at interview stage.

Candidates will be invited to attend an informal interview at Wharf Street in Wolverhampton where they will have the opportunity to learn more about the role as well as opportunities within St John Ambulance. If successful you will also required to complete relevant role training which includes both in person practical (2 days) and online eLearning.

There will be quarterly welcome events taking place at Wharf Street Wolverhampton where the successful candidates will meet the leaders for the Wolverhampton Networks. During the induction they will learn more about the organisation, how to access resources and select their preferred network to join - this will be predominantly based on the meeting night of the network. Training for the role will include practical in-class training, assessment and online eLearning.

At Wales Air Ambulance, we’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help us share our story across Gwynedd and Powys.

As part of our Community Talks Network, you’ll have the opportunity to deliver engaging talks to local groups, schools, and organisations raising awareness of our lifesaving work and inspiring others to get involved. 

You don’t need to be a public speaking pro just someone who enjoys connecting with people and believes in the power of community. 

 We’ll provide full training, support, and all the materials you need to feel confident and prepared. 

 Whether you can give a little time or a lot, your voice could make a big difference.

Volunteers will be provided with full training and induction. If they have not yet completed Safeguaridng Level 2 (minimum) this will need to be completed early in role. There is an expectation that the volunteer will attend an annual residential CPD event and also occasional regional or county meetings throughout the year.

We are seeking Event Nurses to respond to and manage emergency calls/incidents whilst attending events. Event nurses shall provide specialist, clinical, social and holistic care and undertake clinical assessment and interventions in the pre-hospital environment, which may include venues such as stadia, concert halls, motorsports tracks, road races, etc. This will mainly involve working in treatment units or temporary event medical centres.

Successful candidates will be registered nurses with the NMC and will be able to provide evidence of CPD activity within the previous 12 months.

We are seeking Event Paramedics to respond to and manage emergency calls/incidents whilst attending events. At all times provide specialist, clinical, social and holistic care to undertake clinical assessment and interventions those individuals in the pre-hospital environment, which may include stadia, concerts, motorsports, road races etc. This may encompass working on both ambulances / FRV’s and within treatment units as required.

Successful candidates will be registered Paramedics with the HCPC and be able to provide evidence of CPD activity within the previous 12 months.

St John has embarked on a journey to achieve the goal of ensuring that every community and young person across the country is first aid confident.

We are now looking for people to join the Board who have complementary skills to those of the present Trustees and who have the time, vision and enthusiasm to help us make the most of this tremendous opportunity to continue with the development of the Charity. In addition to applicants with professional experience in the NHS or in other musculoskeletal charities, we are keen to hear from people with charity fundraising experience, law, accountancy and experience with IT and cybersecurity. We are especially keen to hear from individuals from underrepresented groups or diverse groups.

Each Trustee must have:

• a commitment to the organisation and its vision
• integrity
• strategic vision
• good, independent judgement
• an ability to think creatively
• an ability to work effectively as a member of a team and take sound decisions for the good of Arthritis Action, based on an analysis of available information

• an understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship

Remuneration

Unpaid – travel and subsistence reimbursed in line with Arthritis Action’s policy.

Time commitment

The basic time commitment for a Trustee is probably around 30 hours per annum. There will, however, be opportunities to devote more time to the Charity if Trustees want to engage in providing more in-depth assistance to the CEO and the management team.

Once you complete screening for this role, you will be allocated to one of our local St John Ambulance Networks. We currently have Networks in Walsall, Sandwell & Dudley, Solihull, and Central & South Birmingham.
