About the Role

The service provides early help for adults facing multiple disadvantages and is part of two wider programmes: Manchester Bringing Service Together for People in Places (BST PiP) programme and the national Changing Futures programme. You will work alongside the Navigators, services and agencies to identify blocks and barriers within the support systems for people experiencing multiple disadvantage and come up with solutions. We emphasise the importance of early intervention and prevention, to deliver a person centred approach which plays to clients’ strengths. Our aim is to transform local systems to enable positive outcomes. You will put the lived experience of people facing multiple disadvantage at the heart of everything you do as they are involved in its delivery and shaping its future.

About you

You will need strong understanding of the barriers faced by people accessing local services and  knowledge of the wider challenges experienced by people with complex needs including trauma. About the team

Your team will be made up six Navigators based in multiple locations around the City of Manchester. You will lead and support them as well as collaborating with our two partner organisations to deliver the service.

You will also work alongside other teams at the Greater Manchester Hub, including our Housing Rights Workers, Homeless Health Peer Advocacy team, our Changing Futures GROW Campus and more.

About the role

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.

Crisis Skylight Oxford is located in the Old Fire Station in the centre of the city. Our team provide a one to one specialist housing led service to help people find and secure affordable housing. We offer person centred support and will help people with anything else that will support someone to end their homelessness, such as mental health and well-being, finances or finding employment. Alongside the coaching we offer practical and creative workshops.

The Old Fire Station building also accommodates a range of flexible arts spaces which are run by an independent arts company.  

As a coach/ lead worker in the structured coaching team with a landlord liaison specialism, you be supporting people to prevent their homelessness or supporting people who are homeless into the Private Rental Sector.

You will be the lead worker for people who have engaged well with the service and are able to work with you to develop and follow a personalised plan to end their homelessness.

With a specialism in landlord liaison you will be finding, securing and maintaining the relationships we need with private and social landlords to provide a supply of good quality and affordable homes for Crisis members.

The key to success will be your ability, as part of the Crisis team, to make collaborative, consistent and persistent relationships with each person

About you

· Experience of working within a relevant sector (e.g. homelessness, mental health, drug and alcohol treatment) and have good knowledge of relevant housing, homelessness and welfare legislation

· Excellent understanding of the rental housing market local to Skylight Oxford and experience of sourcing and procuring properties including demonstratable knowledge of the legal requirements when letting a property

· Understanding of both the needs of social and private landlords and the barriers and opportunities faced by people moving out of homelessness and into housing.

· Effective negotiation skills with the ability to mediate between parties who may have different priorities and to broker agreements

Location: You can be based near one of the following office locations - Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Manchester or Newcastle. 

We operate a hybrid model of work i.e. a combination of in-person and remote, with flexible days in the office depending on business need and your preferences. We would typically expect in-office attendance an average of one day per week.  

Your office is where you will usually attend in-person events, training sessions etc. though some travel, to other offices and other locations, will occasionally be expected. The nature of this job means that regular travel to London will be required for events and meetings. 

Hours: We are looking for the right candidate and while we envisage this being a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) we are very open to flexible working arrangements such as part-time, compressed hours and/or flexitime.

Purpose of the Role: As a key leader within our Partnerships and Income Development team, you will be responsible for driving sustainable income growth through high-impact, strategic and philanthropic partnerships with trusts, foundations and corporate partners.  

Reporting to the Head of Partnerships and Income Development, you will lead the stewardship and growth of existing strategic partnerships, including managing a select portfolio of funders. You will also take a proactive approach to identifying, cultivating and securing new funding opportunities to align with income targets and the charity’s strategy.

In addition, you’ll help to build and nurture our supporter community through initiatives such as payroll giving, individual giving and corporate community fundraising.

Your Role

The Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorship Manager will develop and deliver a strategy to secure, manage, and grow income from corporate supporters and sponsors. The postholder will build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with
businesses across Leeds ensuring companies see clear value in partnering with the charity through sponsorship,  fundraising, and a unique offer of CSR volunteering days at Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm.

Key responsibilities include

Strategy and Planning

• Develop and implement a corporate partnerships and sponsorship strategy aligned to the charity’s overall fundraising plan.
• Identify new corporate and sponsorship prospects, building a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
• Contribute to income forecasts, reporting against agreed targets.

Business Development

• Research, approach and secure new corporate partners and sponsors across a range of sectors.
• Create tailored sponsorship packages for events, programmes and campaigns, ensuring strong return on investment for partners.
• Negotiate partnership and sponsorship agreements that deliver value for both parties.

Relationship Management

• Account manage existing partners and sponsors, ensuring excellent stewardship and high levels of satisfaction.
• Develop creative, engaging partnership activities including staff fundraising and cause-related marketing working with the Marketing Manager, promote payroll giving, volunteering and sponsorship activation.
• Work closely with the Head of Fundraising, CEO, and Trustees to maximise opportunities within their networks.

CSR and Volunteering

• Promote and manage CSR volunteering days at Leeds Children’s Charity, based at Lineham Farm, offering businesses the chance to engage their employees in meaningful, hands-on activities that directly benefit children and the charity.
• Work with delivery teams to ensure CSR days are safe, well-organised and impactful for both participants and the charity.
• Capture and report on the social value and employee engagement benefits of CSR days to strengthen long-term partnerships.

Communications and Promotion

• Work with the Marketing & Communications team to develop compelling partnership and sponsorship materials, case studies.
• Represent the charity at networking events, business forums, and community groups.
• Act as an ambassador for the charity in all corporate engagement.

What we need from you

ABOUT THE ROLE

Role Overview

The Communications Executive will co-ordinate and contribute to the planning, implementation, and optimisation of marketing; and internal and corporate communication. This will range from attraction campaigns, public relations, school partners and the internal engagement calendar and events.

The role will co-ordinate production of communications for target audiences from beginning to end – from planning, writing, and editing of copy to measuring effectiveness of communications. In addition, the role will have responsibility for the Now Teach website.

In this role you will...

• Manage and create content across our channels, including social media, email and internal communication channels.
• Create and maintain an annual content plan to engage our applicants and career changers in our Network.
• Write and produce interesting and engaging articles, social media content, monthly newsletters, marketing emails and webpages that help people consider career change to teaching.
• Oversee the website, evaluate and manage website performance, and develop, maintain, and update website content.
• Creatively drive our social media channels and blogs, significantly increasing engagement and followers.

As the Supporter Engagement & Legacy Manager you will play a key role as we seek to reignite our legacy marketing programme and grow overall individual giving income to help ensure long-term support for those facing financial difficulty. You will be responsible for the project management and implementation of all supporter engagement activity, acquisition, and legacy marketing activities, ensuring all activity is optimised and campaigns include enhanced digital and social media content.  

Reporting to the Co-Heads of Supporter Engagement and managing the Supporter Engagement Officer, you will develop a multi-year plan to rebuild legacy income and a pipeline of legacy supporters, including re-engaging the EFH care home staff and major donors.

You will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction, operational plans and effective management of Turn2us’s giving programmes from individuals including appeals, regular giving and legacies, maximising net income from new and existing income streams.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing direct marketing campaigns in a charity environment as well as proven ability to manage successful legacy marketing campaigns. They will have significant experience stewarding individuals and legacy supporters and be adept at communicating the impact of donations, as well as having line management experience. The ability to make a strong case for supporting Turn2us’ key areas of work is crucial, as is an aptitude for proactively increasing acquisition and retention rates.

The post holder will also be a self-starter who is comfortable building new strategies from a relatively small pool of supporters and is experienced testing different tactics to establish the best practice for Turn2us.
