Job description

For over 140 years, the Forces Employment Charity has proudly supported service leavers, veterans and their families in building successful civilian careers. Brief role description

The Specialist Employment Consultant will facilitate and coordinate employment case working support for Career Transition Partnership (CTP) Assist service leavers and veterans up to two years post-discharge to support them in finding appropriate and sustainable civilian employment or other vocational outcomes. 

   

Who we're looking for

This role is well suited to someone who is passionate about supporting people to achieve positive outcomes and can build strong professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will use your communication skills, judgement and initiative to provide support, deliver briefings and contribute to employment-focused activities that help individuals move closer to their goals.

Working as part of a dedicated and collaborative team, you will be highly organised and confident managing a varied workload. You will have strong administrative and IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems. You will also be comfortable working independently when required, while remaining proactive, supportive and committed to delivering a high-quality service.

The ideal candidate will be confident and approachable with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with people from all backgrounds. They will be resilient, adaptable and self-motivated, with an understanding of the challenges that veterans and other vulnerable individuals may face when seeking sustainable employment.
