The charity is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to work alongside our Volunteer Service Coordinator to oversee the co-ordination, delivery and development of Womankind’s Helpline/webchat service for women with mental health issues.
Some of the credentials you will need:

Experience of working within one or more of the following areas: volunteer management, counselling and psychotherapy, mental health, sexual violence, domestic abuse, health and social care, young people, refugees, trafficked women.

A knowledge and understanding of women’s mental health issues including, complex needs, trauma and issues relating to sexual violence, domestic abuse and its impact on women

Experience of delivering services and supervising others

Home-Start Lambeth offers a unique service, recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to support families with pre-school children on a regular basis. Our staff and volunteers provide friendship and practical help to families experiencing stress or difficulties, including poverty, post-natal depression, domestic abuse, mental ill-health, isolation, and other challenges leading to crisis.
We are advertising for a Family Coordinator to join our small, amazing charity. Working alongside our team of Family Coordinators, you will oversee the work of our home-visiting volunteers, ensuring that the support they provide to families is targeted, high quality and empowers them to reach their goals.
You will also lead the delivery of our domestic abuse work. This includes the development and delivery of the Freedom Programme; a 7-week course to help survivors of domestic abuse understand and recover from their experiences.
We are looking for a well-organised person, familiar with office systems, who can demonstrate empathy and good communication and interpersonal skills. Parenting experience, experience of working with disadvantaged families and survivors of domestic abuse would be advantageous.
This role involves significant amounts of travel around Lambeth visiting families and attending meetings. Reasonable travel expenses, other than from home to base, will be reimbursed. Please note that currently the Freedom Programme is delivered remotely via Zoom on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm via Zoom.

We are looking for passionate and skilled peer leads who have excellent communication and organisational skills. We require a good standard of education and welcome creativity and innovation in all our work.
Working as part of a growing team providing services to people living with hepatitis C, this post will expand delivery of the Hepatitis C peer project, recruiting and supporting volunteer peers across Birmingham and immediate surrounding areas to raise awareness, promote harm reduction approaches, and proactively increase HCV (Hepatitis C Virus) testing, treatment, and care for marginalised communities.
This post will require extensive travel across the region, and it is desirable, but not essential for the post holder to hold a clean driving licence and have their own vehicle for work related travel.

Working in partnership with hepatitis C clinical teams, drug and alcohol services and homeless service providers, the post will coordinate delivery of educational workshops, promote and facilitate increased testing for HCV, targeting marginalised and disadvantaged communities and ensuring referral and ongoing support through treatment and harm reduction approaches to prevent reinfection and other harms among PWID.
