About this role
The Senior Business Development & Fundraising Coordinator will work as part of the Fundraising and business development Team at RedR. Their role is to work across all income streams within business development and fundraising, with a focus on running the business development and fundraising team’s day to day work, supporting the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development in meeting BD and fundraising targets, draft high quality bids – particularly to institutional funders-, and nurturing relationships individual and corporate donors, as well as trusts and foundations.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Team, Project and Line Management

Manage the day-to-day operations of the business development and fundraising team, including line management of the BD/Fundraising Officer.

Ensure timely delivery of BD and fundraising projects and deadlines in coordination with teams across organisation

Oversee the management and maintenance of Salesforce and other software and applications.

Ensure accurate income consolidation and donation capturing.

Support the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development in developing/updating and operationalising team strategies, budgets, systems, and processes.

About the Role:
You will lead on the development and delivery of a prospect research strategy to support the strategic development of our partnership portfolio. In collaboration with the Senior Partnership Development Manager you will develop and implement a prospect research strategy to grow partnerships and income. You will also oversee all aspects of the prospect pipeline process and present monthly KPI reports to the Partnership Development team, liaising with the Performance and Insights team as required to adapt reports to meet the team's needs.
You will maintain a strong role in understanding and promoting the role of research in enabling our fundraising teams to maximise donor engagement and income, through informed prospect identification, cultivation and stewardship.
More specifically, this includes:
- Proactively identifying prospects that have a strong fit with our strategy in terms of alignment and capacity to give
- Building and managing the prospect pipeline across the team, and leading on 'moves management' to ensure we are effectively managing and supporting potential and existing prospects to have a great experience
- Ensuring our prospect development strategy is understood consistently across the wider Strategic Partnerships team
- Providing recommendations on how to engage prospects, considering motivations and existing networks
- Producing research profiles, reports and biographical briefings
- Developing and utilising internal and external prospect research databases and network mapping systems to identify sources of warm prospects
- Identifying relevant events for Partnership Development Managers to attend for networking and/or insight-gathering purposes, and developing detailed briefs on events speakers and attendees
- Ensuring quality control of prospect research processes and documentation
- Recommending appropriate and cost-effective research tools and manage this part of the expenditure budget.
About you:
- Educated to degree-level/equivalent educational standard, or significant equivalent work experience
- Strong understanding of the role of research in good prospect management, cultivation and stewardship (in commercial or not-for-profit environment)
- Experience carrying out prospect research for corporate partnerships using relevant databases and research tools
- Very strong research and analytical skills, including ability to produce detailed and insightful profiles and network lists for prospective individual and organisation partners
- Ability to analyse complex information and communicate clearly and credibly for delivery to a variety of audiences in written reports, presentations and meetings
- Stakeholder management knowhow to build and maintain great working relationships at all levels, and influence, internally and externally
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with ability to work under own initiative to meet deadlines and prioritise conflicting deadlines successfully

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases that support our business applications and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL programming, and database performance optimisation.
Working alongside our solutions architect, you’ll be responsible for the development and management of our data import processes by managing and onboarding new data feeds through our bespoke ETL tool, the Message Broker. You’ll be focused on developing and translating business reasoning into data transformation. You’ll act as a key conduit between teams – ensuring new functionality is rolled out effectively to become business as usual. Find the best ways of importing and validating customer data, so we can build long term relationships with our customers and keep them coming back for more. You’ll get involved at the briefing stage and see it through to delivery of data, championing security, governance, quality and accuracy at every step along the way.
This is role is currently seconded to the Technology Directorate, working on the delivery of the charity’s key IT systems such as the current migration from Raisers Edge 7 to Raisers Edge NXT CRM.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities
The Head of Programme Management leads a large team to oversee all of CIUK’s active humanitarian and development projects funded by UK donors. The team leads CIUK’s relationships with Country Offices and Regions and develops close partnerships to help us achieve long-term and effective programming across the humanitarian and development arena. The team also builds strong relationships with institutional donors and works with the Business with CARE team to deliver corporate-funded programmes. The Head of Programme Management is responsible for ensuring strong grant management and donor compliance including programme financial management. The team ensures that CARE provides and is recognised by donors for offering excellent value for money and real impact for its programme participants. The team also leads CIUK’s approach to delivering smart development and humanitarian programmes with an increasing focus on equitable partnership approaches.

CIUK’s restricted income from donors is significant and is CIUK’s largest income stream; as such the Head of PMT has a high level of responsibility for stewardship and effective management of the ongoing programme portfolio. Our largest programmes are complex multi-partner consortia in fragile contexts with budgets of up to £60m. The role-holder also has a crucial role to play in identifying learning from our programmes, including from our new ways of working that promote greater local leadership, and sharing these across CARE and the sector.
About you
You will have excellent understanding of CIUK’s main donor, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), with deep knowledge of how the FCDO operates, how they are structured and contract programmes, as well as their current priorities. You will have the ability to build strong relationships and have demonstrated ability to negotiate complex contracts with donors and influence donor positions. You will have a strong programme management and risk management background that allows you to understand and work across multiple projects and contexts, and manage risk at the portfolio level, dealing effectively with new risks and issues as they emerge.
As a leader of a large team, you will have strong people leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate strategy into action, motivate colleagues and demonstrate to team members how their role links to organisational strategy and objectives. You will need to have experience of working in donor-funded organisations, understand cost recovery models, and have experience working to deliver large-scale programming in development and/or humanitarian contexts. A good understanding of the current debates in the sector on local leadership and a commitment to the principles set out in the pledge for change are essential.
About the role
The role covers five main areas of responsibility:
- Representation and relationship management: holding relationships with a set of senior stakeholders including FCDO Senior Responsible Owners, other donor counterparts, CARE Country Directors, Programme Directors and Regional Directors. Negotiating contract terms with donors and troubleshooting delivery issues with country offices. Position CARE’s work to external stakeholders, including personally representing CIUK in external fora.
- Organisational and team leadership, strategy and planning: Set and drive the programme management team’s annual plans and contribution to the organisation’s strategic priorities and annual plan. Be accountable to delivering on team KPIs and organisational KPIs that link to PMT’s work. Play a key role in the leadership of the Programme and Policy department.
- Line management: Directly line manage up to five direct reports. Provide and support strong recruitment, line management, learning and development. Demonstrate a strong personal commitment to CIUK’s equity, diversity and inclusion goals, promote organisational EDI initiatives within the team and work with the team to set team-related EDI objectives.
- Financial and compliance management: Provide close and effective management of multi-million pound budgets. Reforecast accurately throughout the year, identifying and working with country offices to rectify implementation issues. Manage risks and issues at portfolio level, raising high and critical risks for attention by senior leadership and board as necessary. Ensure donor compliance is followed.
- Programme quality, monitoring evaluation and learning : Ensure that CIUK closely monitors project implementation, relevance of programme outputs and outcomes and ensures programmes meet relevant technical standards and up to date best practice. Programmes fulfil requirements on programme quality and adhere to do no harm standards, the Core Humanitarian Standard, and ensure that CARE’s safeguarding standards are met throughout the life of the programme. Proactively share knowledge from CIUK’s programmes across the confederation and externally.

JOB PROFILE
Reporting to the UK Head of Communications and Giving (HC&G), you will be at the forefront of demonstrating to the public how Afghanaid is changing lives in Afghanistan, and raise awareness of key issues communities we work with are facing. RESPONSIBILITIES
Media and Public Relations
- Design and action an annual Media and PR strategy based on wider team and organisational goals;
- Conceptualise and deliver strategic earned media campaigns, supporting the HC&G to execute and maximise the success of multi-channel campaign development and execution;
- Proactively identify, pitch and advocate for compelling stories, strategically engaging with journalists to expand message reach and ensure brand integrity;

Job Summary
We expect this role to focus on developing and maintaining relationships with key funders, stakeholders, institutions and individuals. It will undertake work to secure funding, resources and partnerships for both Shared Assets and the wider land justice movement, and to raise the profile and reputation of Shared Assets.
The role will have responsibility for securing core funding for Shared Assets from trusts, foundations and high net worth individuals, and for supporting colleagues to secure grant and commercial funding for consultancy, research, movement building and communications projects. Building networks, understanding what motivates our supporters, and aligning our programmes to their philanthropic interests is key to our growth plans for Major Gifts.
This role will lead, influence and embed the major donor strategy and line manage a high performing team. You will deliver your own prospect/donor cultivation activity and generate new leads through working with senior volunteers. You will work with colleagues and leaders across the charity to identify prospects and opportunities to give at a transformational level. You will present and inspire philanthropic support for our work including our information and support services and our Parkinson’s Virtual Biotech drug development programme which is leading the way in driving forward new pioneering treatments.
You’ll contribute to a step-change in the charity’s income, particularly in soliciting gifts from new supporters. Now is an exciting time for Parkinson’s UK as we accelerate our ‘Transforming Parkinson’s Together’ strategy and we drive forward our growth ambitions within major gifts.
What you’ll do:

Lead the Philanthropy team to deliver our ambitious multi-year income targets

Build on the team’s existing strategy, working closely with the Head on the overall strategic direction

Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with your pipeline of donors and prospects (focused on £100k+ gifts)

Collaborate with colleagues to build the £1m+ transformational gift pipeline

Oversee, support and coach the Philanthropy team with their prospect/donor cultivation and stewardship activity
What you’ll bring:

Extensive experience of successful major donor fundraising, with a track record of securing five and six figure gifts through making verbal and written asks

The ability to proactively identify, qualify and generate new prospects to help grow the team’s pipelines

Job Description
Delivering the philanthropy plan
- Manage the philanthropy programme at Bookmark, working with the Head of Fundraising to grow the major donor portfolio within the wider strategy
- Lead a team of three to deliver on the fundraising strategy, providing direction, support and guidance. Line manage the Philanthropy Manager and support their professional development
- Work with trustees, staff, and our wonderfully supportive Partnerships Board to build a robust pipeline of supporters and secure introductions
- Own and build a portfolio of new major donors through the full donor cycle who give £25,000 or more, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey
- Lead on the philanthropy events strategy and programme, providing support to the Philanthropy Manager and wider team in delivering income generating, cultivation and stewardship events
- Create compelling, relevant and tailored funding proposals, reports and collateral to inspire and inform donors, reflecting Bookmark’s strong brand
- Work closely with the Corporate Partnerships team to ensure opportunities to maximise income for the fundraising team
Work with the rest of the Fundraising team
- Devise and deliver annual plans, together with associated budgets, in line with the charity’s strategic objectives.
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team, Chair of Trustees and colleagues across the charity to ensure major donor fundraising activity is aligned with the charity’s wider plans and objectives
- Use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording and forecasting of major donor income, enabling efficient reporting and KPI management
- Ensure that all activity helps to build Bookmark’s brand and is always brand compliant
- Ensure Bookmark’s ethical fundraising policy is adhered to
Person specification
Essential
- A successful track record in high value fundraising and acquisition, including a proven track record of securing five or six-figure gifts, to meet or exceed targets
- Experience line managing individuals, nurturing their development and managing their performance to achieve results
- Excellent understanding of complex relationship-based fundraising from high-net worth individuals and/or grant making organisations
- Experience developing and managing a calendar of successful charity events that meet fundraising targets
- Great verbal communication skills, a passion for presenting and public speaking
- Experience managing or working with a fundraising board or high value committee
- You will have the skills to influence, motivate and persuade people to donate
- Demonstrable experience of writing successful, inspiring, emotive, and technically accurate cases for support and proposals tailored to a major donor audience
- Experience growing and managing a pipeline, planning for your portfolio and increasing income
- An understanding and ability to build budgets and work with financials
- Experience using of Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- You have experience using Salesforce, or another fundraising database

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 pro rata

The For Baby’s Sake Trust seeks to appoint a Deputy Director of Operations. The Deputy Director will work with the Director of Operations to lead programme development and delivery across the Trust. If you share our passion for breaking cycles of domestic abuse and giving babies the best start in life, have a professional qualification in social work, and enjoy leading multidisciplinary teams, you might be the perfect fit for us!
As the Deputy Director, you'll manage Regional Team Managers, ensure the consistent and robust delivery of the For Baby’s Sake programme and other services across all sites, and collaborate with delivery partners. You'll also be key in promoting our work, identifying new partners and delivery sites, and leading the Parent Advisory Group and its related activities.
This is a full-time role, reporting to the Director of Operations. It's a permanent position with a salary of £60,000 and offers the flexibility of working from home, with occasional travel as needed.
