We are looking for a Communications and Social Media Manager (Maternity Cover) to join the dynamic communications team at London's historic food market. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of Borough Market's communications function in a hands-on and creative role which directly shapes how people see and feel about the most famous market in the UK.

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, the key focus of this role is to develop and manage Borough Market's social media and communications functions to enhance the Trust's overall reputation and build support for the Market's corporate and societal aims, in addition to working alongside the Head of Communications and Marketing to support generalist communications activity.

Interim Communications and Social Media Manager

Contract: One-year fixed term maternity cover contract

Salary: £50,000 - £57,000 dependent on experience

Location: Hybrid based between Borough Market and home with ideally three days per week on site, potentially two

Core responsibilities within your role will be to:

• Develop, manage and execute BM's organic social plans to help to deliver BM's purpose and key messages to customers and audiences
• Deliver social and traditional PR content and influencer marketing to communicate the Market's key messages
• Manage and implement the Market's social media and communications activities in line with the Trust's strategic plan
• Manage external filming requests and report internally on press and social media coverage
• Develop and manage collaborative and partnership working arrangements with a wide range of external stakeholders; ensuring BM's purpose and aims are communicated effectively and consistently to influencers, supporters and the media
• Manage relationships with relevant agencies including social media and content creation
• Support the Head of Communications and Marketing in the development of a communications strategy and purpose in line with the Market's 2030 Strategy ensuring Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is at the heart of all outputs
• Support the Head of Communications and Marketing in the execution of the corporate and crisis communications strategy
• Support the Marketing and Events Manager to develop an external and internal events programme to assist in the delivery of the BM's societal and charitable aims for visitors, traders, tenants and staff
• Champion the Borough Market brand including across all social media channels
• Support the Board and Senior Management team (SMT) to build the organisation's brand and values
• Deputise for the Head of Communications and Marketing as required
• Provide guidance and advice to SMT on social media issues

You will need to be a talented and creative social media expert who can help cultivate a thriving culture of engagement across the Market's community of staff, traders and visitors. You will be a team player collaborating with the wider team on creating engaging content to ensure that Borough Market's story is as visible to priority audiences as possible.

Applicants will need to have a strong social media background and creative digital skills. Experience in a similar role or environment as well as outstanding communications skills, a self-starter approach and a keen interest in food and drink are essential.

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:

• Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
• Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+

As our new Community Heat and Energy Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering our major new community heat and energy workstrand. You’ll work with expert partners to move forward local renewable energy projects which help power clean heat solutions at three different sites, as well as developing ways to remove barriers to delivering this type of project, such as supplying energy locally and matching supply and demand. 

The role will include coordinating and working with key expert partners, including community energy groups and research partners, across the three sites. The design stage of the project is largely complete, but there is still scope for creativity in delivery.

The Hardman Trust supports people on long prison sentences to take their next steps in life. As the Head of Service Delivery your role is to make this a reality by overseeing the delivery of our operational programmes and services. Job Title: Recovery Worker (Night Shifts)

Location: In service based in Camberwell, SE5 7HQ (Queens Road Peckham is a 23 minute walk or a 13 minute ride on the 36, 136, 171 and 436 and Elephant and Castle station is a 8 minute ride on the 343) 

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Sunday on a rolling rota which covers 21:00 - 08:00. Rotas will typically be 2 nights on, 2 nights off, 3 nights on, then 2 nights off. Bank holiday working permitted if rota falls on this day. You may also be required to work flexibly in the week to attend day meetings and training sessions.

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team which aims to deliver support to male residents aged between 18 and 65. You will be at the heart of providing person centred support in a residential setting to our residents who have mental health issues, often alongside drug and alcohol dependencies. You will provide tailored support to help our residents to improve their quality of life, and achieve their personal goals through providing flexible support. The service offers our residents two years supported living with 24 hour medium to high levels of support to help residents maintain stability in the community and reduce hospital admissions. 

You will work directly with our residents to support them to overcome their personal barriers and challenges to achieve positive outcomes. You will do this through one to one support sessions, group sessions and activities, and general support with their daily living.

The role further includes:

• Supporting residents with taking their correct medication
• Carrying out various welfare checks on residents during the night
• Health and safety tasks, including reporting repairs and maintenance
• Keeping support plans up to date using our online portal
• Plan and deliver various activities within the service to gain a sense of community and belonging which could include movie nights, cooking nights, and game nights. You are welcome to bring your own ideas to bring residents together to achieve positive outcomes.

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to support those who face challenges with their mental health, and have substance dependency. You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes.
