Role Overview

The successful candidate will be involved in leading and co-ordinating the delivery of Crohn’s & Colitis UK’s research strategy including our programme of grants, and our work to support increased patient and public involvement in research.  They will work with the Director of Services & Evidence and Head of Evidence & Research to support the charity’s involvement with external research bodies and contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet our strategic objectives.

About You

We are looking for someone who has proven experience of delivering successful research funding and patient and public involvement research activities.  The successful candidate must be adept at establishing and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders and comfortable working with operational performance metrics, and implementing strategies and objectives for the organisation.  Ideally your background will be in health care or working in a medical charity and you’ll be educated to degree level or equivalent.  Given this role will involve managing and providing leadership to the Research team, prior management experience would be an advantage. Whilst not essential, a knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis would be beneficial also.

Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home, although there will be times when you will need to travel to events/conferences. You will be required to attend two Directorate days each year and occasional face-to-face meetings with your team or our partner agencies. In addition, the charity meets four times annually at its office in Hatfield (or a location in London) for its’ ‘All Staff Together’ days, at which attendance is mandatory.

Role Overview

As a member of the Joint Leadership Team, the post-holder will contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet the charity’s strategic objectives. Specifically, they will lead projects and programmes to deliver improvements in quality and standards of health services for people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. In doing so, they will work closely with not only the  Director of Services & Evidence and Heald of Health Services, but also external stakeholders including health and social care organisations, academics, researchers and other charities.  The post-holder will also be actively involved in leading, supporting and developing the Health Services team.

About You

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of delivering health service projects and programmes and have come from a health services or medical charity background. You will be adept at developing operational performance metrics, strategies and objectives and have a proven track record in developing strong working relationships with external stakeholders. Whilst not essential, experience of managing and leading a team would be beneficial, as would be an awareness and knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis.

The Marketing and Communications Officer is an important role at the College as you will proactively support the creation and execution of targeted marketing campaigns and activities, helping to ensure that the RCPCH continues to lead the way in children’s health.

As Marketing and Communications Officer, you will create high-quality and compelling content in multiple formats, ensuring it is on-brand, whilst also taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of paid marketing campaigns across social media and other channels.

A key member of the marketing team and reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will proactively work with stakeholders to gather required content and assets to ensure College marketing priorities are carefully planned and scheduled. You will analyse reporting data to improve marketing performance, whilst frequently liaising with stakeholders to suggest enhancements and improvements and advising on how to optimise.

With a good standard of education, you should have demonstrable experience of Google Analytics and email marketing, whilst having a background in Multi-Media Content production with experience of editing.

With social media marketing experience (both paid and organic) you should also have a good knowledge and understanding of Design & Media editing applications (eg. Canva).

An awareness and understanding of the principles of Project Management would be desirable, as would knowledge of Hootsuite, Ad Words and Dot digital, along with experience of the Adobe suite.

· We support ill or injured men and women to have a safe place to call home, a home that meets their specific needs.

We are seeking an individual to raise awareness of the Fund’s welfare offer amongst social welfare agencies across the North East of Scotland but also, crucially, to help address the issue of social isolation and feelings of loneliness experienced by some members of the RAF Family.

The post holder will be working with socially isolated individuals to identify meaningfully enriching opportunities to reduce feelings of loneliness, some of whom may have complex and challenging welfare needs, to develop actions plans and coordinate support to overcome any barriers preventing successful connection into these enriching opportunities, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals, have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of the issues affecting the Armed Forces community. Individuals with a social prescribing or working aged veteran support background are encouraged to apply.

This is a community-based position working from home but covering the Inverness, Moray and Aberdeenshire regions primarily, delivering both remote and face to face support.  The candidate must have their own vehicle to use to travel around these regions.  Occasional travel to Edinburgh and London will be required.  The successful candidate for this role will need to be Enhanced DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

Do you want to work with multiple award-winning charity, FoodCycle? This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for food and community to be a part of FoodCycle’s after-school community meal projects. As Schools Coordinator, you will coordinate and deliver weekly family meals at your allocated schools (2-3 evenings per week) as well as coordinate all aspects of the projects, from volunteer management to food surplus supply.​

Our after-school community meals will be spaces where families of school children can gather at the end of the school day to enjoy a free nutritious meal and be among the school community. With the support of our National Schools & Franchise Manager you will manage local relationships with schools, community partners, supermarkets and volunteer recruitment channels to enable our meals to happen each week

As a can-do person and excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy. You will have previously worked with primary school-aged children or families, in school or other setting. There will be frequent travel within Central Region (Initially focused in Birmingham/West Midlands), with evening work required. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this rewarding role.​

Partnership Experience Manager (Maternity Cover)

Salary: £38,814 - £44,581 pro-rata (depending on experience and FTE)

Location: This is currently a blended-working role with two in-office days (Tuesday-Thursday) during term time and the flexibility to work from home during school holidays. Occasional travel to schools and events will be required.

About the role

You will play a key role in driving the continuous improvement and growth of our national partnership through deepening the quality and impact of our local collaboration hubs. You will also oversee the day-to-day running of hubs of our schools and trusts, which includes holding responsibility for the operations of the Partnerships Team and working closely with the Partnership Lead to ensure that all hubs, schools and trusts have an excellent experience with Challenge Partners. 

You will also oversee the implementation of the organisation’s Account Management strategy, working closely with members of the Leadership Team  to implement our strategy for effective partnership experience (our term for account management and customer service) for our partner schools and trusts. This includes holding some key strategic relationships, representing the organisation at external meetings and overseeing partner experience operations.

Key Responsibilities

The Partnership Experience Manager will have the following key areas of responsibility and will be expected to undertake other responsibilities commensurate with the role as requested:

Strategic Leadership and Management  - Hub Quality and Impact

• Develop and lead our strategy to improve the quality and impact of Challenge Partners’ Hubs, continuing to develop high performing hubs and supporting rapid improvement in new and emerging hubs

• Deliver, grow and evaluate the impact of our hub-led programmes: Middle Leaders’ Quality Assurance Review and Leadership Residency Programme

• Oversee the continuous improvement of national Knowledge Exchange and Areas of Excellence

• Lead a Hub Quality and Impact team, including all central team hub owners and executive hub links, through providing clarity on the Hub Quality and Impact strategy and operations.

Strategic Leadership and Management - Partnership Experience and Communications

• Develop and lead the implementation of our Account Management strategy ensuring that accounts are given the attention needed to ensure a smooth experience and high satisfaction rates

• Oversee Customer Care processes across the organisation, guaranteeing that any issues are resolved in a professional and timely manner 

• Oversee whole partnership communications, including half termly partnership newsletters

• Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships (Senior Partners, Hub Managers, trust CEOs) with your allocated key accounts to ensure that regular dialogue with them informs the strategy and continuous improvement in our support of hub quality and partner experience

• Act as an ambassador for Challenge Partners, representing the organisation externally where required

• Lead an Account Management approach through providing clarity on the account management strategy and operations.

Oversight of partner experience and hub management operations 

• Line management of the Partnership Lead and one or two Partnership Co-ordinators

• Team leadership of the Hub Quality and Impact and Account Management teams, delegating tasks appropriately 

• Work closely with the Partnership Lead to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of all hubs 

• Act as a point of escalation for any issues across hubs

• Identify hubs at risk, and lead on creating sustainable solutions with team members

• Work closely with the Finance Team to facilitate our invoicing processes for each academic year 

• Oversee hub funding processes across all hubs, proactively considering any changes needed in line with Hub Quality work

• Oversee Pricing Governance processes

Leadership Responsibilities for all Managers
